Right, you can only have 2 russes now, the squad cap for a russ is now 5 and the basilisk cost more squad cap now. I cant remember if the Baneblade is 15 or 3 squad cap but im betting its 3.


Baneblade is 3 3nodding I tend to build 3 basilisks, a leman russ and a baneblade. Once you get earthshaker rounds your enemy won't be alive too long twisted Oh ya and a hell lott of Autocannon heavy weapon teams. They r.a.p.e

15?!?! 5?!?! they must have given the russ it's battle cannon back! (that is to say, the battle cannon that actually blows infantry away in a big crater)

and the bane blade must be a monster now! 15 population!? unless they raised the max that's just crazy!

no, it doesnt leave a crater, just takes a nice chunk out of the health, which is pretty lame in my view, it should blow the s**t of out infantry. And he corrected himself when 4 other people said that the baneblade was 15, its 3 for the 5th time.

I distinctly remember that the Russes did at one time leave a little crater when they fired and blew infantry away like artillary. Not sure why they took it away..I guess they felt it made it a bit overpowered...

As a necron/tau palyer i feel it serves the guard right plus i'm sick of my warriors being knocked away by artilerry it shouldn't be like that!!! Lol i gues im biased so is upport the whole leman russ weapon change back to what it used to be thing.

I am getting uber pissed off...
The necrons are my enemy too often to be a random selection, it f'in stinks! Not only that, but by the time I have one squad of troops (not reinforced) they have two squads of necron warriors each have 5 troopers and and a necron lord! Maybe for a difficulty like hard, but not on standard! I noted how long it took a squad of 11 chaos marines to kill a single necron warrior, way too long!

That's a real shame.

But the Necron are just as balanced as an army as all others, they're just used differently by the AI. You're human, adapt.

there is nothing I can do to adapt to this, with so few units available at that stage in the game, I cannot defeat the initial attack. Instead I just pushed them back and followed them to their base and then came the bigger battle where the lord was ripping guys apart and the warriors killing everything else

Ive never really encountered any problems like this, with Tau I always pwn them and their monolith. Um...maybe you should try to get a defiler as soon as possible? When I would play as necron those things would be annoying as hell.

agreed, I can handle it, but I just think that its against necron ability to have that many that fast, we are talking less than 3-4 minutes into the game. Im fine for now, its just annoying, I can turn them back using chaos, which I am not good with. This will probably kill me when I try to play eldar though, the necrons will cut through them like a hot knife through butter.

Yeah that is annoying..
True, ive never tried to fight necron as eldar but considering I can massacre 5 guardian squads with two wraiths speaks alot about the issue..

yeah, see what I mean? I mean the warriors eliminate all beginning infantry, I mean they come fast because they arent busy catching points, and the just destroy the weaker tier one infantry. I am too scared to fight necrons off with eldar because gaurdians get screwed by everything, it wont even be a contest if a lord and 2 squads of warriors waltz into my base.

I laughed when i heard Eldar weapons were supposed to be good against the necrons i laughed so much it peed a little bit. Seriously though eldar shruiken gun can take down a necron in like 5 years if it was just firin non stop point blank with all bullets hitting. Anyone played as necrons on campaign against the eldar stronghold? I finished that with just 3 units of warriors 4 pariahs and a lord in two groups (warriors is one group) easily and that killed an avatar tons of fire prisms a chaos and ork team as well.
