But that didn't faze him much, and he didn't take offense. He didn't expect her to understand. "I'll do whatever it takes to keep myself alive. I still have a lot left to do before my body and my soul part ways.' He had much left to accomplish, many more battles to win, and warriors to overcome.
He didn't have much more to say when it came to Shinra and Avalanche--the two had a bitter history, and both had done "evil" things. He didn't really care though. He just wanted to battle. Any supposed morality was especially unimportant to him being in another world. As far as he saw it, this world was just an arena to further hone his skills. Her little ploy worked to a point--she did manage to sweep his legs out from under him, but she might be frustrated when he threw his body weight backwards, springing off his hands backwards and landing a few feet from her. "Not bad! But you'll need to do better than that!" He said as he reared his spear backwards, hurling it towards her. Whether she dodged or was struck by it, the spear would dissipate a moment later, as he materialized the same Hydro spear in his hands and leaped forward towards her, delivering a powerful thrust aimed towards her shoulder. (( OOC: ))

       Eirika could only sigh, he was so stubborn. It was such a familiar feeling she knew all to well. As the battle would continue, Eirika had nothing left to say, there really was nothing she could say to him that would make any difference, or change his mind of anything, clearly. She just needed to focus here and now, she needed to win.
Her attempt to knock him on his back would come as a terrible failure, surprisingly she was almost certain she would succeed.But as he sprung back with his hands in the most impressive of moves, she would see just how much of a challenge this battle was going to be. She didn't have anywhere near the skill he did, nor did she have the ability to change any weapon she wanted, and even if she did, she didn't know how to use the lot of them. He truly was incredibly skilled and clearly no match for her. Yet she wasn't going to give up, she would win, she absolutely had to..The little damsel in distress game wasn't her kind of enjoyment.
As he readied his hydro spear to strike her, Eirika was quick to dodge it, stepping to the side as she moved her body away from the next attempted strike to her shoulder, countering as she thrust the rapier for his own shoulder, only to jump back and away from him before he could return another strike.

 "Tartagliaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! " A very distinctive voice could be heard in the distance, one he most certainly would know. It was a impossible voice to confuse for anyone else's, and it was also impossible to hear that high-spirited voice of the young silver-haired girl, it was enough to stop Eirika, which may or may not have good a good thing! "Tartaglia! " She called again, the distance in which she was coming from did give them both enough time to stop their battle, but it seemed even if he was in the heat of his beloved battle, she had no intentions of stopping her pursuit that was Tartaglia! In no time, the small girl flew herself right into him, latching onto his neck like a lobster he would never pry off.Her small frame really did help in this case! "Paimon thought she was alone!!" From constantly picking on him, to bullying him and playing at her suspicions of his actions, locking him into a Paimon hug of ultimate doom was a big change. It may be his true ultimate battle, or his ultimate defeat at the small floaty girl's hands! She only slightly leaned back so that she could look at him while still holding on, her cute violet eyes looking at him with a mix of a whole lot of confused emotion, the tears wailing up in her them made it a question of if she was just very happy to see SOMEONE she knew, even someone like Tartaglia, or if she was going to cry her eyes out. Luckily for him, she didn't bring that uncomfortableness to him. "Tartaglia...Where are we? ....What happened? ......Lumine.." She paused, the sadness in her eyes wasn't often seen, and only really shown in times when her dear friend Lumine was in life threatening situations, Paimon cared about her more then anything and anyone. "Paimon and Lumine were gathering ingredients in Avidya forest when suddenly, this giant portal came out of no where! ...Paimon couldn't reach Lumine before she was swallowed up into it! " Those tears were on the edge of falling from her eyes, but still, she didn't lose control as she continued to try to explain. "...Paimon searched everywhere, but there was no sign of her! ...Two days went by, and Paimon couldn't find her anywhere, she didn't come back.." She continued after another pause to catch her breath. "Paimon didn't stop searching, and what happened later, the same portal appeared...All Paimon remembers is it appearing, and...the next time Paimon woke up, she was laying in a weird ruins, surrounded by creepy people! They told Paimon to go with them, but she didn't trust them and ran away! " *Ran..* "This place is not home! It's full of creepy scary creatures, and all of them want to eat Paimon! " She clinged to him harder, he might figure out by now, there was no getting rid of her. "Lumine...she has to be here too. Right?! "

That is what family is all about, isn't it?"It was before Tartaglia could execute his lunge towards Eirika that the familiar, out-of-place voice would catch his attention, and he relaxed in his stance as his head turned towards the voice--though he kept Eirika in his sights. She didn't seem the type to attack while his attention was elsewhere, but it was instinct to keep his foe in his sight at all times. "Well, if it isn't Paimon-" He was cut off slightly when she very surprisingly latched onto him. Well, that was unexpected. "Whoa, hey now!" He let out one of his usual chuckles, patting her on the back as comfortingly as he could, given the situation. "You feeling all right? Where's the Traveler? I don't think I've ever seen one of you without the other." She clearly wasn't feeling all right though, it would seem. "Just take a deep breath and explain it to me." He directed calmly, apparently applying some of his big brother intuition in this moment. He listened to her explain probably as calmly as she could in her current state. He put a hand to his chin as the other held his Hydro spear, thinking. "From Sumeru, then. I was in Inazuma at the time I was brought here, about to head to Natlan." Not information Paimon needed to know, but he wasn't exactly concerned that she was going to store the information for later. This confirmed this wasn't something specific to Inazuma at least. Anyone could vanish from anywhere in Teyvat and appear here, in theory. "Well, not to worry, Paimon. The Traveler should be here somewhere, and we both know she can handle herself. She probably finds this situation less shocking than anyone else would." She was already from a different world than Teyvat anyway, so this was like business as usual for her probably. "We're not in Teyvat anymore. I doubt the Traveler is in any real danger, but you would be if you were left on your own. And I don't think she'd let me off with just a scolding if something happened to you, so how about you and I go search for her together?" This wasn't exactly what he expected to be doing, but he also didn't expect to happen across Paimon. Whether or not Paimon trusted his intentions, she'd certainly know that having him to protect her was a pretty great thing to have! He turned towards Eirika now, his Hydro spear dissipating in his hand. "Well, seems there's been a change of plans, princess. I need to help my little friend here find a close friend of mine." Close friend. Did Lumine see it that way? Oh well, as far as Tartaglia saw it, they were thick as thieves. "We'll have to put this fight on hold--but we will finish it. Until then though, I suggest you return to Marvel. Shinra won't stop sending people after you, and after they learn I "failed," they'll send a lot more than one person." They considered him very capable, and if they thought Eirika defeated him, they'd have to respond accordingly. "Being out here endangers not only you, but everyone in your group, including your brother. It's reckless to just press on and pretend you can handle it. You will not escape capture if they send Celeste." Whether or not Celeste was a better warrior than Tartaglia, she was much, much more difficult to fight due to her specific, annoying abilities. "That's the last of my friendly advice. What you choose to do with it is up to you." He turned away from her then. "Well, Paimon, ready to go? We have a big world to search" From trying to help Lumine explore Teyvat to find Aether to going with Tartaglia searching this world to find Lumine, it was neverending for Paimon. Next she'd be spirited away to a different world, and try to find Tartaglia with someone else!(( OOC: ))

Paimon's nerves were at a all time high for those first few moments, there was all to much going through her mind, even the worry that he might not be interested in helping, despite the strange relationship the three had. It had become pretty clear they were no longer enemies some time ago, but Paimon sometimes found ways to slip into her suspicious little mind! In this case, not so much. Not even a little bit, even. If anything, of all the people she did know through Lumine and her adventure, Tartaglia was the number one choice in finding her. He was the best there was in her opinion, and his fighting skills were nearly unmatched. Who better to protect her then Tartaglia? Letting him go now, she would float close by to him, similar to how she did with Lumine. She was never far from her side. "Y-you're right..she's..definitely fine..! " Her words tried to sound as though she believed that, but it was clear in her voice how unsure and worried she remained. She did manage to calm down a lot in the few moments,all due to his comforting words. "He,he..That's right! " Her excitement showed with her little happy dance as she floated there. "Lumine wouldn't forgive you, so you better take good care of Paimon! " It was no joke, when trouble came, she hid behind anything she could to stay safe! She was not made for fighting, and she always reminded everyone of that with her demands to be protected. Eirika, just kind of stood there in a sort of surprise. The little floating girl there was just adorable! There was a lot to see in this world, many unique Serenitians, but Paimon was a whole level of cuteness. At least, she appeared to be. Eirika would have to learn the various personality traits this child had. It took Tartaglia addressing her to snap her back to attention, good thing he wasn't planning on attacking her anymore! She might not of been so lucky."Oh..what a kind kidnapper you are. I will remember your friendly advice! " ..Well, it was kind of amusing, how could she resist such an opportunity? That was his goal, only that goal was a failure thanks to his little floating friend..Finally, she turned away, letting them go on their own search..she was better off doing this alone anyway.
