When I got to the Hermes cabin I peeked in. Most everyone was asleep or just sitting around listening to music and such. I didn't want to wake anyone so sat down on the ground outside and layed my head against the cabin wall. I didn't know what I was going to say to Rex we I talked to him, all I knew was that I needed to talk to him. My head was mostly devoid of anything besides Rex and I didnt want to think about that until I talked to him. So with the nothingnessin my mind I soon fell asleep. Luckily this time I had no dreams.

Jake walked over to the cabin that supposed to be for the God Hermes. It was also the place where guys like him, whose godly parent hadn't revealed themselves to their kids, would crash for the time being. He walks in calmly, and saw that most of the people were asleep. Since there had been a mass influx of demi-godclaimings, the place had really become a lot less cramped. Jake grabbed an open bunk and placed his duffel next to it. Unslinging his crossbow, he placed it on top of the duffel with the bolt loaded but the string not drawn. With that, he removed his worn shoes, took off his jacket, and lay in the bed with his cowboy hat over his eyes. Whether this was his parents house or not, it felt good to sleep in a bed.

A shiver went through my body as soon as I woke up. It was early in the morning, the sun was just rising. Not a single person all night had bother with me. Seriously I thought. I was out here all night and nobody thought, hey, there is gir with nothing but a big t-shirt, a jacket and slippers maybe I should wake her up so she doesn't get hypothermia I rolled my eyes and shiverd again. I got up awalked towards half-blood hill. I didn't really know why since I was half freezing to death but I did.

Liz sat by the window and looked out to the other cabins. There were kids everywhere of all ages, genders, races, heights, and weights. She sighed. It wasn't that she didn't like being here, it was just that she didn't like being the new girl. She never liked it. Everything around her seemed to disappear as she thought of her family, all the things wrong with it since her mother left. The times her father would tell her it was all her fault. Or when her grandparents wouldn't believe her when she tried to tell them about what her father did to her. She didn't realize it but while she was lost in thought she started crying silently.

Jake woke up suddenly when he heard sniffling that was trying to be muffled. Raising his hat, he realizes everyone was already up, about, and gone. But there was one girl left. She seemed to be lost in thought but tears were coming down her face. He stayed in bed, his hat still over his eyes, but called over to the girl. "What's the matter?"

Rex Holans, Son of Hermes xxxxx Rex had walked into the cabin with a huge smile on his face. Though he was tired from his training in the arena, his mind was completely balanced. There was absolutely nothing that could change his mind about how he felt at this moment. He was ready to move on from Emma. She had her chance and threw it away. Physically shrugging, Rex walked over to his bed and set down all his stuff. It felt good to finally be free of the trappings of love and to just be able to live life like he wanted to now.
xxxxx Now was the first time Rex had taken notice of the new campers in the cabin. Well, I guess I should welcome them to this humble abode that they might call home one day... whenever that is, he laughed a little at the last part of the thought. Rex had gotten up, drawing up to his full height. He stretched and yawned slightly as he looked at the new people. "Hey guys, welcome to the Hermes cabin. I'm Rex..." Rex had cut himself short realizing that there was a girl crying by the window. Because of his good nature, he knew he had to help this girl out, whether he really knew her or not. He quickly stepped next to her and wiped a tear off of her cheek.
xxxxx "Hey, I know what you're going through. It really sucks. I won't sugar coat it for you. Life as a demigod just flat out sucks, as you've seen. It'll get better as life goes on. I promise." Rex smiled his warming smile that everyone couldn't help but smile back at. One of the great traits of being a son of Hermes. Rex always had no problem talking with people and now he saw exactly why things had been that way for him. The smile he was showing was one of warmth and friendship.

Liz was suddenly brought back to earth by someone wiping a tear from her cheek. She smiled a little and nodded. "Yeah... I noticed." She laughed a weak laugh and nodded "But at least we all know there are others just like us." She stopped as another girl walked in and started talking to him. She looked outside again, the scene was fairly different, so she must have been 'out' for a while. Sh wondered just how many people noticed her as she glanced out the window.

Jake raised his hat off his head and looked over to the other guy that was comforting the girl who was having adjustment trouble. Shrugging he lets the hat fall back over his eyes and spoke with accent usually affiliated with southerners or rednecks, "I haven't been claimed yet, so thats why I'm here in this cabin." Simple explaination, nothing more needed to be said. Then the girl comes in professing her love for the guy. Jake made a small inaudible 'tch' sound. After that not a word came from him.

((How are you posting here while you're posting at the woods and infirmary?)) Maiya Kajuji I finally had decided to face Rex. I somehow knew he wouldn't want to give me another chance but I had to talk to him either way. I swung open the door. I got a few looks at my odd outfit. That hasn't happened at all today I thought sarcastically. I saw Rex was talking to someone, I didn't care. I walked right up to him. "Rex, I'm sorry. I am stupid I really do love you, so much, but I'm not asking you to be my boyfriend or even my friend, I'm just asking you to forgive me." I stood looking at the floor not daring to glance at him.
