[Shatteredfang jumped at the sound of Leopardstorm's yowl. Was she kitting?
The small she-cat padded out of the Warrior's den, and trotted to the nursery, peeking in She saw Lavenderrain and Purekit sitting down next to Leopardstorm. She smiled softly, thoughts wandering. Would she have kits some day?
A part of her snorted inwardly.] Yeah, be tied down for seven moons, not able to hunt for yourself. Like I would want that! [Another part of her, she guessed to be her motherly instincts, sighed softly. Kits were always cute.] I wonder if Darkshadow.....
[Shatteredfang snapped back to reality, her gaze flickering to Lavenderrain.] "Lavenderrain, do you want me to do anything?" she asked curiously. [Another thought dwelled on her. Where was Hauntedheart?]

 ❁Purekit"I try to live true to myself, but...somehow, I'm living a lie."═══════════════════════[My ears pricked. I beamed excitedly at my mother, proud to be the one to fetch Hauntedheart.
I scuttled out of the den quickly, my stubby legs a blur. I found Hauntedheart staring at the stars and called out to the cat.]
"Hauntedheart!" I squeaked as I ran up.
[I tripped over myself on the way to the medicine cat, then hauled myself back up, undeterred.]
"Hauntedheart, Leopardstorm's kitting!" I cried, my eyes shining with excitement. "Hurry! We have to get back in time! I wanna see the kits being born!"
[I bounced around excitedly, unable to stay still. I can see what it was like when me and Richkit were born into the world! I thought excitedly.]
((Don't worry Smoke, Tigerfang will get her reward very soon. |D ))

Just think like Miraclesky, but stubblier and more appropriate for the age...yeah. 8D
Hur, i hope I don't miss it though. ;w; I'll be disappointed as teh daddy not to see mah childrens being born! D|

He sat up, padding quietly out of the warriors den. He paused, stifling another yawn, and headed to the fresh-kill pile. He took two mice out of the pile. Wherever Shatteredfang was, she'd probably be hungry.]
[ooc:] Aww. The real Fathom would have been proud..... :'( I feel for him. v-v

DARKSHADOW "I'm not afraid." [Darkshadow took the mouse. He went over to the corner and ate it silently. He stopped eating and froze. He had heard a yowl from a distance.]"What's going on?" [He said to himself quietly. He wanted to go see, but he wasn't in the mood to anger Tigerfang.]

[Tigerfang's ears twitched as she heard Leopardstorm's yowl of pain.]
Hmm...she's kitting.
[She narrowed her eyes and licked one of her huge paws.]
I could never have kits. Besides, they're annoying. I think I'd scare them. But that's okay...they don't like me anyways.
[She had other things to worry about. Like fighting for her Clan. She didn't have time for some obnoxious kits.]

Oh and in answer to your question on the previous page, yes I did compete in showjumping XD Did ok methinks, 1 rail down over the course of 12 jumps, so 4 penalties. Our team came last though, cuz two people jumped the wrong direction/wrong jump and were eliminated...
Coolio, I've never ridden Western before. Is it loose rein riding, from what I've read?))
[Eaglesoar awoke after a shallow and dreamless nap, before stiffling a yawn as he made his way to Tigerfang. As he approached their prisoner, his eyes hardened like pieces of emerald, before padding up to Darkshadow and Tigerfang.]
"You take a rest, I'll take over as Lavenderrain said."

[Tigerfang turned towards Eaglesoar, but with only one side of her face. She didn't want to show him the scar over her eye, for fear it would repulse him.]
"Uh.."
[She cleared her throat.]
"What, you think I'm tired? Don't be silly, I can last here for a whole moon." she said roughly to him

(( Temporarily taking over Hauntedheart. Leopardstorm's kitting, and, well...Desperate measures, right? :/
Oh geez. I can't get into her character! D: And it's SO HARD to keep this PG-13, y'know? xD ))
[Upon hearing Leopardstorm's anxious, pain-filled yowl, Hauntedheart was already up and gathering herbs. She was rummaging through her supply as Purekit stumbled in. The dark she-cat didn't look away from her work as she answered, all the while tossing herbs at her apprentice as he too searched through the stocks of herbs.]
"I know, Purekit. I'm trying my best to gather all that we need right now. Hurry on back to your mother now; keep her company and make sure she's feeling alright, okay? Honeypaw! Take the herbs I told you to and wrap them in a leaf, now! Thyme, willow bark, cobwebs, raspberry leaves, let's go, you worthless lump of fur!!"
[The golden apprentice was doing as he was told with shaky paws, too frightened to fail to even notice Purekit. As he swiftly placed each herb onto a large oak leaf, he tried to meow in response.]
"Y-yes, Hauntedheart. I'm finished!"
[Honeypaw annouced, his chest heaving as he folded the last part of the little bundle. Hauntedheart stormed by, glaring at the tom as she quickened her pace until she was pelting out of the den.]
"Grab it and lets go, Honeypaw! For StarClan's sake! Leopardstorm's kitting and I'm stuck with this pathetic excuse for a tom! Why, in all my days I never..."
[Her voice trailed off into an angry mutter as the dark-pelted she-cat's hackles raised. Honeypaw delicately grabbed the bundle with his teeth and sprinted off, after his mentor, who was already in the nursery. Hauntedheart sat beside Leopardstorm, looking over her progress in the kitting. She purred softly to Leopardstorm, her own voice, ironically, as sweet as honey.]
"Good Leopardstorm, good. You're doing fine for your first litter...Just breathe slowly, that's right. Don't panic. When you feel a contraction in the lower half of your body, push, alright? Honeypaw, where are you?! Start chewing the willow bark! Give me a pawful of cobwebs and raspberry leaves and get to work!"
[The smoky-gray she-cat commanded with ruthless anger as she realized that the first kit was well on its way. Honeypaw obeyed, opening the bundle and giving Hauntedheart the herbs she requested before lapping up the few pieces of willow bark. He chewed vigorously, his small teeth having difficulty softening the tough material of the bark. Hauntedheart was still purring kindly to Leopardstorm as she urged the queen to lap up the raspberry leaves.]
"Lap these up. They'll take some of the pain away and help reduce bleeding. The less you bleed, the more strength you'll have to birth the kits. Honeypaw, are you quite finished? Spit the bark out." [Honeypaw did so, and Hauntedheart examined the thick paste before pawing it up and placing it just a hair away from Leopardstorm's muzzle. She then grabbed the pawful of cobwebs and started to soak up the queen's blood.] "Once you've chewed and swallowed the leaves, lap this up. It'll work with the raspberry leaves to further reduce your pain. You should have another contraction any moment now. Ready yourself, Leopardstorm. This might hurt..."

[Foxfur jumped up and ran to the nursery]
"Is everything al- Oh. Oh! Erm..Well, uh..Leopardstorm, you're doing...great?"
[Feeling extremely awkward, Foxfur hurried out of the den,
That was a little scary...]
[Willowheart followed Foxfur and glanced into the nursery, purring]
"It'll be fine, Leopardstorm. Your kits will be beautiful"
[Not wanting to get yelled at by Hauntedheart, she dipped her head and went to eat]

However, Hauntedheart's angry snaps to Honeypaw made me pause. ...That's not how a mentor is supposed to treat their apprentice, I thought worriedly. But my thoughts were interrupted as the pair dashed out of the nursery.
I let out a frustrated snort and scuttled quickly after them. I tiptoed past Hauntedheart and looked at Leopardstorm, giving the kitting queen a good distance. My eyes widened as I watched, amazed, as the first kit made its way out.]

Me: You don't want to bother Hauntedheart now. o__o"
Purekit: Oh look it's a kit- oh...ewwww!
Me: D8 *covers her eyes* children shouldn't be watching this--! D| ))

"Uh...is everything ok? I mean, you look kind of...odd."
[Great, that just sounded weird, but it was the only word he could think of. He was going to say something more, but Leopardstorm's painful yowlings made him stop. Instinctively he turned his head towards the nursery, and seeing Hauntedheart as well as a group of cats surrounding the kitting queen, so Leopardstorm was in good paws. When another bout of yowling ensured, Eaglesoar instinctively winced, hating to hear his good friend in so much inevitable pain.]

Great. One more thing to make me look even uglier....well, let's get it over with, I guess.
[She slowly turned towards Eaglesoar, her scar in full view.]
Acting as if nothing happened, she hissed in her normal way, "Odd? You think I look odd?"
[She said it playfully, but still had that tinge of spite that made it her signature type of teasing. And it was that teasing that drove most cats away.]
(( Yeah I know. Maybe she was hyped up on poppy seeds when they took the picture. XD ))
