Mercutio

The Gallade sighed a little, crossing his arms.
He guessed it was now time to speak of more depressing things.
Chats with Tolin were never happy occasions.
'If I say something wrong and he cuts my head off, I just want you to know I love you,' He told Liena via telepathy.
Was it a joke?
Muttering something to himself, he followed Tolin into Alfred's room and sat down, glancing at the Gardevoir.
"... He's missing something. A particular hole in the chest..."
He sighed, taking his glasses back off and folding them up.
"What did she do?"

Tolin

"She stole a one-of-a-kind elixir that heals all wounds." Tolin stole a quick glance at Alfred before continuing; he looked so much more peaceful now. "The problem is that she ignored the warnings. The short version is he's dying now. His body has had a bad reaction and we're not sure how long he'll live at this rate. We're pumping blood into him to keep him alive, but it might not be enough." Lloyd had said that he was losing it faster than they could pump it in, but was that really true? Would it continue at that rate indefinitely, or would it slow down? Maybe it already had...? Or maybe the wound would just... flush it out at a static rate?

Tolin fiddled slightly with the bag before pulling out the sheets with psychic. He read them over carefully until he found the one that required a family member's signature and handed it to Mercutio. "I want to move him to Pluto's residence. If he stays in the hospital it will be under constant risk of attack, but Pluto's home can be better defended." Station a small army outside his doors, whatever. It was much more convenient. They only needed a small force to hold someone off, after all; teleport was a life-saver that way. "He'll be more comfortable there. But I need the signature of someone close to him... and, for the time being, I wish to keep this secret from Lucinda. She only paid the warnings heed after it was too late... if we tell her right now, she'll break down. The stress might kill Alfred, as well. But... you're related, if only by law."

Alfred---Liena

Liena peered into the room and upon seeing what was clearly labeled 'drama' in her mind, unconcious Gardevoir, paperwork, stern expressions and the whatnot, she backed out once more.
Okay, Mercutio could handle this alone. She had enough problems lately considering her boss was a lunatic and injured Pokemon didn't very well see to themselves...
She proceeded down the hall to the front desk to wait for them to finish.
Still mostly asleep; Alfred coughed once, sending small red flecks along the inside of the oxygen mask before shifting to a more comfortable positon and drifting off again.

Mercutio

His bright green eyes looked over at Alfred after the cough, drooping a little afterward.
He used to despise the Gardevoir for taking his sister for his own.
Now, he felt nothing but sorrow for the man.
he was like a distant brother, now in absolute pain and misery.
"So, let me get this straight..." He said softly, turning his attention back to Tolin.
"You want me to risk getting beaten and possibly killed by my own sister so Alfred can be in a safer place?"
He squeezed the area between his brow, sighing a little.
"... I've been trying to rekindle the relationship with my sister, you know..."

"I'm at just as much risk as you are. Can you imagine what she would do to me if she found out I had hidden her husband's location and condition from her? I would be lucky if any of the three of us managed to survive." She had nearly beaten Solaris into unconsciousness and had just about wrecked Lloyd, and Tolin couldn't out-teleport a Gardevoir. Things were looking grim if Lucinda caught wind. "I'll run the paperwork through Vito. If she comes to visit him, she'll be informed he's been placed in a sterile environment and he can't be met for at least a day. If you keep it to yourself, she won't know until I inform her." Vito sure as hell wouldn't say anything. Cattius might be able to chat someone's face off, but Tolin could press her for silence rather easily. There was still a chance... but if it happened it happened.

He paused for just a moment to observe Alfred's coughing before determining him to be fine. "I plan to tell her in a few days once we've had time to get things under control. Both the hospital and Pluto's team will be working on it... so at the very least we should be able to control the problem. But until we do that, his life is in danger and bringing in Lucinda will only worsen that risk. Even if it doesn't... it would be better for her to hear the problem is already solved."

The Gallade let out another sigh, shaking his head.
"Arceus, this is suicide..."
He looked up, putting his hands on the table.
"Yeah, I'll do it. Got a pen, or should I sign in blood?"
There would soon be enough of it outside of his body for a million signatures.

Actually, now that he thought about it, he didn't have a pen. He always just used the tip of his scythe with a little bit of ink. But a pen was a pen, there was probably one somewhere...

A quick glance had his eyes settling on the medical documents that sat at the end of his bed. A pen was tied to the clipboard via chain for the sake of convenience, but a quick cut had the chain broken in half. Lucy could bill him for it later if she cared. "You have my thanks, Mercutio. If you ever need a favour, feel free to ask." The offer would likely do more harm than good, all things considered; if Mercutio came for help, likely it was because bad things were happening which could then be fixed.

Mercutio took the pen, dabbing the end on his tongue before signing his full name out on the paper.
"Right, good, because I have one for you," He said, setting the pen back down and crossing his arms.
"You and I both know I ******** up during the mission with Heatran."
Well duh, everybody knew that.
"All I ask is one more chance to prove that I'm not a complete ******** up."

That was exactly the opposite of what the favour was to do. It was to get him out of a bad situation, not in to one.

Though, there was one thing he could do. "Nico. You want a chance? You get Nico." Nico was, overall, about the weakest thing they had to fight, the most easily defeated and the one with the least possible repercussions for a ********. "We'll lay out a strategy prior to engaging him. I'll let you lead the assault. Once you're on the field, command individuals as you see fit." As long as the Gallade stuck to a general strategy, then there wouldn't be any issues. He would have the chance to earn the respect of his peers (or at least remove his past blemish) and it gave them a safety net. If they sent someone else out, there was a chance they might lose someone important. "Would that do?"

Of course, though it was a "question" it was phrased in a manner that suggested "this is all you're getting".

Alfred---Liena

Golden eyes peered back into the room after a few moments.
"Is everything alright now? I convinced Lloyd to let me leave early. He's been acting odd lately, and apparently in a giving mood." For Mercy this was code for 'I'm sick of being here take me home already, dammit.'
Her eyes drifted across the paperwork briefly and she recognized Mercutio's signature, but she said nothing. It had nothing to do with her unless the Gallade wanted her involved. Liena tended to avoid pushing her way into private affairs.

Mercutio gave a sharp nod to Tolin as Liena came in.
"Sounds reasonable. I'll get to work on that as soon as I can."
He didn't want Liena to know quite yet the job he had just taken.
They both knew how many Nico had murdered, and now he's was Nico's #1 hit.
"C'mon, let's go home..." He said, standing up.
He took Liena's hand and gently kissed her on the forehead before leading her out.

Javs

Javs dropped from a gap in the unconscious Gardevoir's room, taking no time to look back at the door. His psychic was weak, but he'd gotten to Aire enough to have time alone without being paranoid. His stay wasn't to be long and this was easier with Alfred unconscious anyway.
He walked over to the bed side silently. His eyes locked on the sickly Gardevoir.
He and Aire looked too alike-- way too alike. The resemblance pulled back at him almost.
Javs sighed slightly as he straightened his posture and lifted one arm to latch onto the other at his side, as if nervous before stepping over to Alfred.
"I'm going to need you to remember me the next time we meet." He stated telepathically, as if setting up a deja vu moment. Javs acted quickly on the idea and Alfred alone in a hospital room was the best he was getting.

"It's too soon for introductions... That and I'm unsure how much you'll remember..." Javs looked away, more so noting this to himself as he bit his lip. Something was close. Maybe a nurse or something but he didn't want encounters.
He took a quick look back at Alfred before walking over to the door and gapping through it. All he did now was wait and assume the best of it.
Damn kid better not die in his sleep.

Solaris----------Moonfall---------Ivy---------Ami

Solaris stretched out with a groan, his front legs bandaged to the point where he couldn't even bend them. He'd not allowed the nurses anywhere near him until he'd seen Ami, and she was lucky to be alive from what he'd heard.
Uncle Pluto however...
Oh Arceus, he didn't want to think about it right now. He glanced wearily towards Moonfall who was sitting curled up around Ivy in a nearby chair. The Glaceon had cried herself to sleep, mostly from relief that Ami was okay and also after being told of Pluto's death.
She'd never been particularly close to him, but it was still sad.

Epitaph --- Saileithe

Epitaph sat idly next to the Espeon, as if still spotting him. She said nothing to anyone. She just sat tired and still uneasy.
Her daughter was curled up below Ivy's seat. She wasn't sleeping, but her eyes were closed. Epitaph eyed her carefully.
She could tell her about Darius, or let her find out for herself.
...She'd rather tell her, but now wasn't the time. She'd rather get her alone after things settled down a bit.

"So..." The Scyther appeared just outside of the room Ami was in and walked right in with little regard for it's injured occupant. "I heard you managed to use Roar of Time."

It was a simple and quick statement. It was more an introduction, than anything; an effort to gauge the mood. Solaris would, one way or another, likely provide many of the answers needed without even meaning to. Speed was important, here, because it was hard to tell exactly what Eridanus was doing. For all they knew, it could simply be a temporary retreat... an effort to gather the remaining forces and wipe out a potentially dangerous threat.

Or he could be genuinely scared. All the same, knowing exactly what Solaris had done and how was important.
