From within the cover of the trees, the chuunin gatekeeper remained diligent in his attempt to keep an eye on the 'guest'. Remaining silent, the guard continued to pear over the side of big oak coniferous tree as he watched the 'guest' speak with another shinobi of the village. 'I'm a bit too far to hear their conversation but whatever they are talking about, it seems innocent enough...'
Eyes' widening ever so slightly, Ritsu noticed the 'guest' raise a hand to her mask and leaning outward more, felt himself tense at anticipation. '...just who are you...' Releasing a breath he didn't even know he was holding, Ritsu caught a glimpse of the 'guest's' left eye which was grey in colour with a hint of light blue. As he relaxed his stance, he stumbled. Taking an extra step out, Ritsu hadn't completely blown his cover but it was obvious that someone was there seeing how a good 1/3 of his body escaped the cover of the tree.
Left hand on the tip of his cap, Ritsu pulled it lower as he turned his body around back into the covers of the shadows. 'My bad...I'll definiately never hear the end of it from Cheri...those eyes...that particular shade seems familiar...'

══════════════════════════════════════════"The fly has finally shown itself..." Lucy said as she noticed that the one who had been following her messed up his own cover. She could see part of his body as he tried to take a look at her face. "I'll be right back." she said and right after that she disappeared from Morii's sight. "Soru." she whispered behind her mask.
Reappearing underneath the oak's shadow, Lucy put her hand in front of the shinobi's chest and lightly pushed him against the tree, keeping her hand on his chest. "May I know why you have been following me?" Lucy kept her voice calm as if it was nothing important, it was quite obvious that he was ordered to keep an eye on her after she walked into the village but she'd love to see how the shinobi would react. At the moment she pushed him against the tree, the strength she used was comparable to that of a genin, she didn't want to show how strong she was, at least not that quickly.══════════════════════════════════════════Ͼhakra Ҏoints - ?/? || Suiton || Speed/Chakra Control || Improved Chakra Control (-1 ninjutsu) || Ryuujin noticed at the same time Lucy did the ninja rustling in the tree. It was obvious he was watching, though Ryuujin had no idea if he was listening in and any reason why he would. well, no, the reason he was watching us is pretty obvious. He's probably as curious as to why she is here as I am. Vacation...ANBU, from whatever village, don't just vacation into other villages. She may be sight-seeing, but as to what, i haven't the slightest clue... And like that, with five words wait, or was that six... Ryuujin counted the words in his head. And like that, with six words, and then four more, she was gone. He realized it was probably to question-or kill- the little spy in the tree. Ryuujin knew better to be nosy, though. plus, it'd make me look totally immature and nobody wants that, do they? So, to bide his time until she returned, assuming she'd hold to her word, anyway, he walked off a bit to a different tree that was still near where they were talking and turned his back on whatever conversation they were likely having. He closed his eyes and focused. He tried working more on a technique he was making. Ryuujin would close his eyes and focus and spread out his chakra, trying to see if he could identify the closest water source. To his logic, as a suiton ninja, his chakra was naturally attracted to water and would be pulled to it, which Ryuujin could use in a fight. So far, he hadn't really had any luck, but it was a fun challenge to try. {this isn't, as far as I know, any real kind of jutsu or technique -water sensing- but I thought it would sound cool and like something that he'd do.}

Left hand still on his cap, Ritsu had just taken one step back into the safety of the shadows when he felt a disturbance in the wind and he was pushed lightly against the tree. 'Such speed...even Itsuki-sama might not be a match...her strength though...it clearly doesn't match.' Clearing his throat, Ritsu let out a small chuckle as his predicament and wondered just how bad he was gonna get it when Cheri and his instructor finds out. 'Seriously though, I was really careful when I trailed her, not many genin would be able to percieve it. Cheri was right to want to keep an eye on her.'
"Listen Miss, I was honestly just walking by. I float around the village where ever the wind takes me. Though I am pretty interested in how you managed to cross over 5meters in a matter of milliseconds. Forgive me but your current strength truely does not match your speed nor your intuition." Eyes calm and un-nerved, Ritsu was the epitome of laid back. He knew better than to underestimate people but most visitors are wise enough to know that injuring residents of the visiting village is against policies. With this also being the training grounds, it'll be easy to become an open target.

══════════════════════════════════════════"It really insults me that you think those words would fool me. If you were indeed just walking by, how come you knew exactly how far I was from you?" Lucy said to him, while keeping her hand on his chest. She would not use more strength than she had been using unless it was needed. Lucy moved closer to him, close enough to whisper to his ear. "My intuition and speed are...should I say gifts? Are you sure you don't prefer to tell me?" she whispered and then moved herself back again, without moving her hand.
There was a small chance that this situation might turn into a bad one for Lucy, but she doubted that things would be like that. Just as it is understandable that a village keeps eyes on a suspicious person within its territory, it is also understandable that the same suspicious person keeps eyes on stalkers.══════════════════════════════════════════Ͼhakra Ҏoints - ?/? (I don't think that something like that could be used in a fight if it isn't relatd to a technique, bloodline, demon or custom feature from weapons, technology and such.)

As Lucy caught onto his lame fib, Ritsu could only smirk. As she leaned in close enough to whisper into his ear, Ritsu could only smirk wider. 'Man, I have a neck for bumping into scary women don't I? Guess the jig is up though I'm definiatly not gonna release all that much info.' Once she backed up again, Ritsu simple raised both hands up in a surrendering gesture."You got me. I've been trailing you since the Hokage Monument. Couldn't help it though, you're so called 'gifts' intrigued me. For a traveler, you skills rival that of decent Chuunin at least." Eyes staring straight at her, Ritsu suddenly noticed a movement in the shadows. 'Cheri.' As a simple gust of wind carrying sakura petals unnatural to the training grounds, Ritsu got the signal and knew it was time to pull out. "What can I say? I'm a sucker for interesting things. Now, if you'll kindly remove your hand, I believe I'm late for my guard shift."

"Chuunin...who knows." she muttered as a gust of wind brought sakura petals to the training grounds, even though it was not natural to see them there. But right after that, it was when the guard gave her the piece of information that she needed.'Hah...A guard.' she thought as she prepared something to say. "Guard? I see, then it is that guard's doing...Cheri isn't it?" Lucy's words were filled certainty. Even though she was not sure about it, she made it sound like she was. She would use Ritsu's reaction to confirm her thoughts. "Tell her she doesn't have to worry about me." she laughed and slowly moved her hand away from his chest.══════════════════════════════════════════Ͼhakra Ҏoints - ?/?

'Shoot, strike two. One more and it's the dog house for me.' Smirk thining into a serious line, Ritsu's face because serious as it would appear the traveler figured out the master behind recon mission. Eyes unwavering, his silence will prove to be more than enough of an answer to the cloaked mystery lady. Smiling lightly in response to her laugh, Ritsu pushed himself off the tree and made his way past Lucy, turning around only to give her a tip of his hat. "Oh, don't worry about that, you've been cleared already. The higher powers say so themselves. Leaf works in mysterious ways my Lady, best you try not to disrupt anything." With his warning complete, Ritsu turned around and made his way over to where his partner was staring at him with narrowed eyes. Chuckling, Ritsu tried to play it off as carelessness but with Cheri's silent treatment, he knew that this was just the beginning.

'Higher powers say so...heh, should I pay a visit to miss Hokage as a proof of my gratitude?' she wondered as the shinobi made his last comments before leaving. His tone showed that he was trying give her a warning, but she didn't even take it into consideration. If that was his attempt to sound cool and superior, it could probably be ruined is his superior finds out that he was found out when he was supposed to be hiding and because his superior's identity was revealed. 'Poor thing...' she thought and then walked back to where Morii was.
"I'm back. So...what were we talking about?" she said to him while he had his eyes closed. 'What the...' Lucy didn't know what he was doing but it wasn't really common for someone to just stand by a tree with his eyes closed. Ryuujin opened his eyes upon hearing her voice again. He could tell by the inflection in her voice that he was doing something stupid.
what did i...oh. He didn't immediately make eye contact. So, I can't really explain this...diversion tactic!
Not wanting to seem like a greenie {noob, for lack of a better word} loser, he tried to play it off. He shrugged. "Eh, don't know. I'm sure it'll come back to one of us later. What was that technique you used? I don't think i've ever seen the likes of it before." He paused, so it didn't seem like he was rambling, or nervous. The latter he actually was; she hadn't ditched him yet, but Ryuujin figured he was getting pretty darn close again.
"You up for going somewhere? I don't really have a place in mind, but..." Ryuujin tried to be really sly with this one, since he had no clue as to what actually transposed, "i'm sure there are less intrusive places than out here."

She had been trying to be friendly with him, but she had no interest in him. He on the other hand was showing how interested he was. It sounded quite displeasant how his tone was but Lucy didn't feel like embarrassing him in public, even though it was something she could do quite easily. "I already have somewhere to go. I need to find a friend of mine sorry." she said and walked a few steps away from him. "Just a hint, you should choose your words more carefully."{/b] she said and continued to walk away from him, heading to the exit of the training grounds. His intentions were quite obvious for her since they started talking. If he really thought that was going to take him anywhere, he should think twice. In the end, Lucy left the training grounds and headed to the other training area of the village, the Dojo.

Find a friend, my fire-fried arse...of course, this never comes up until after she talks with that shinobi. Of course, that actually makes sense, that after what happened she'd need to leave...that's still pretty bull. And choose my words? Why the heck should I need to choose my words more carefully? I speak my mind, and that is that. No need to change for anyone. Even if she is bloody hot. He knuckled his head. He wasn't angry anymore or embarrassed, either. He didn't see any real reason why people should feel embarrassed. The way she just ditched him still annoyed Ryuujin, however. He knew from the beginning that whatever he tried he probably wouldn't woo this older, experienced chick. Whatever. She can go bite a demon. He paused, realizing what he was thinking. I am one bitter dude. I need to get over myself. Ryuujin took a deep breath and slouched against a tree. Being embarrased and rejected, even when he honestly wasn't trying to get at anything, just looking for a bit of interesting conversation, really! was horrible. An idea dawned on him then and wiped away his glum mood. He got himself a nindo. So that's it. I will become a strong ninja, the best in the leaf, so I can get all the women I'll ever need, and respect to boot! Ryuujin chuckled at his fanciful notion. Still, becoming a Sannin wasn't all that bad an aspiration. Grander than becoming Hokage, anyway. Quite content with himself, he pulled himself into a tree. He would hang out here a while longer, and if his "Uchiha sensei" didn't pop up soon, he'd go find something more interesting to do. Something not related to women. He'd sworn off them for a long time, until he became more powerful.

Teaching Master || Jounin || Suiton || NPC Synn strode into the training grounds confidently, head held high, each stride long and confident, scarlet eyes searching for the boy she'd heard needed someone to train him. She snapped her gum impatiently, chewing the rubbery substance in an attempt to stave off the craving for nicotine coursing through her body. A smirk graced her shell-pink lips as she spotted him: a blonde boy with his eyes still shining with eagerness and excitement. Two things that would get him killed. Note to self: squash that quickly. Her thoughts were grim as she approached the boy, her gloved hand reaching forward to clamp onto his shoulder with a vicelike grip. Her muscles flexed, rippling gently under her well-exposed skin as she shoved, turning the boy around in an about-face to look at her.
"You, boy." She snapped her gum again, an impatient gesture as she quickly looked him up and down. "What is it you wish to learn?" Her words were spoken in her usual terse, cool manner as she folded her arms across her torso.

Well, as they say, never look a gift horse in the mouth. Or, really, in the chest. I think that'd be a bit more appropriate in this situation. Ryuujin looked over the blonde kunoichi the same time she did, probably liking what he saw better than she. Ryuujin snorted. He wasn't going to be pushed around like some coward. In fact, Her otherwise-intimidating bluntness warmed him, like rays of sun bathing him after being thrown into an icy river. The gum though, the gum he could do without. "I wish to learn," Ryuuin said slightly mockingly, "suiton jutsu, if anyone in this bloody village weren't either an Uchiha or someone acting like they were. Can you teach me?" Ryuujin softened his voice with that last question. He didn't want to be too gruff and scare her off, because if she actually could teach him water jutsu, he desperately needed her.

Teaching Master || Jounin || Suiton || Raiton || Fuuton || NPC Scarlet eyes narrowed as the blonde looked at the boy for a few seconds, before her gloved hand dropped quickly to a holster on her thigh, unsnapping the closure. A deadly look came into her eyes as she advanced on him, moving with the speed of a Jounin until she felt the crack of his body impacting with the nearest wall. Her forearm was pressed against his windpipe, pinning him by the throat to the wall as she placed the sharpened edge of the kunai against the softest part of his cheek. Her eyes were blank and dead as she continued to snap her gum, staring into the eyes of the boy as if he were mere dirt on the bottom of her shoe. She leaned in close to whisper something to him, her breath barely tickling his ear as she did so.
"I will provide you with fair warning, boy. If you choose to mock me, you choose to die. I will not tolerate sass from my students." With that, she quickly pulled her arm back, allowing the boy to drop to the floor. The kunai was thrown so the tip embedded itself in the floor of the training facility, where it quivered slightly as Synn's gloved hands formed several handsigns. "You will meet me at Pine River if you wish to train. Kirigakure: Shunshin no Jutsu!" The blonde Jounin's body seemed to explode in a shower of fine mist
