"We where attacked By Gaian military snipers... you wanna tell me what that was about?" asked skotti.

"Yeah, I do recall the one I interrogated saying something about rockets..." said skotti.

"Not a clue at all! all but that was the worst group of snipers I have ever encountered, they fell like rocks..." said skotti.

Skotti nodded "I'm going to see if anyone has their ears on" he said, putting his finger to his ear. "This is skotti, who is available?" he asked.

Luciano folded his arms, "I think we'd rather hear it from you, Waffle." he said with a stern look to him.

Waffle sighed. She wasn't trying to hide anything at all. She wasn't lying either; Waffle still remembers when she told Pen the same story with a different purpose.

"Mkay. It's a long story. Just warning you."

When Luciano's facial expression stayed the exact same, she figured he didn't really care, so she went onward with her story. Except this time, she needed to describe into detail.

"Let me begin with this- I wasn't born in Gaia. I was born above it. There used to be a city that floated above Gaia, and drifted about in the atmosphere, kinda like kelp in the ocean. Most people don't know about the city of Serole because it was considered one of those mythical treasure-laden fantasy places you hear in fairy tales and the like, and plus it was often times covered with a large cloud. Like...a HUGE cloud; The kind of ones that the weather stations and the emergency forecasters get their boxers in a knot over. Well, four years ago the cloud cover thinned out, and I'm guessing most people could see parts of it, others couldn't. I was outside of home looking down at Gaia. My parents, some of the attendants, and the rest of the government were at one of their scheduled meetings. I remember at one point seeing a flash of orange light and smoke, and then it felt like an earthquake was happening, except that earthquakes don't happen in thin air. Also, I saw another flash of orange and more smoke, except a rocket flew past. I think at least 3 more flew right by, and I could tell that 5 hit the base of the city. I heard people screaming, and arcane magic was going off left and right while people were trying to teleport their way out. I was still learning magic at the time, and I couldn't do much about it. Instead, I ended up falling with the rest of the city while everyone else was gone. When I landed, I must've not cast a good enough deflection spell, because I was out for a couple of days. When I woke up I saw the city in pieces, my dad's crystal orb next to me, and that a whole ton of people in dark green uniforms were checking out the rubble. Some seemed to be carrying off all sorts of things. Some fat, kinda bald old man spotted me and pointed a gun at me. I took my dad's orb and ran."

Waffle paused. At least the story was over.

"That's probably why they're after me. That old guy saw me and tried to shoot me. I fell down along with the rubble, and was a witness to them looting the place of its treasure for their own gain. I bet that old guy is still in the army too. Why else would they be after me if he wasn't still there?"

Waffle scratched the top of her head, and confirmed what Luciano said back.

"Basically. Also, they're after whatever was in the city before it fell. I don't think anyone would want someone to live if a witness saw them after the person scared or killed everyone else off and then started stealing whatever was in the area, would they?"

Waffle looked at the window for a bit, then turned back to Luciano.

"And yeah, those humans ARE pretty pathetic. I doubt they could fight without their petty guns. No, that's not an affront at gun wielders in general, before you get ticked off for no reason. At least Elves can harness magic."

Pen hung her head then looked back on the road. "In that case, where do you need me?" Though Skotti couldn't see it, Pen looked annoyed for being right in the first place. You would think just once we could have some down time.

"Tell Waffle I'm pulling for her though," she added believing that the shooting was the cause of Waffle's ailment. It wasn't uncommon for team mates to get shot but still its not something you take with your vitamins.
