Ellie quickened her pace and ran to Karla's room to tell her the semi-good news. She reached her bedroom and knocked on it. "Karla. Karla, let me in."
Karla didn't stir. She was still sleeping.

Raven smiled "Well I think all the humans are gone, so let's go to the kitchen and find you a nice bloody piece of meat" she said.

Ellie kept knocking on the door, a bit louder. "Karla! Wake up!"
"Hm?" Karla opened her eyes and looked over at the door. She wiped away the tears that had still been on her face. Then she walked over to the door and opened it.
Ellie immediately went in and hugged Karla. "Guess what! I'm free from the deal!" she said happily.

Raven was happy to hear that Travis was thirsty for blood. She lead him through to the kitchen and then went into the food storage locker and got out the bloodiest piece of meat she could find and held it out for Travis "Drink up" she said.

"The good thing about being a vampire is all we need is blood to survive" Raven said "though we can't drink blood of someone who is already dead, but hey, there is plenty of fresh blood out there."

Karla was surprised by the sudden hug then realized what Ellie had said. She hugged Ellie back. "Really?! So you won't leave me?"
Ellie smiled. "Really! And I won't be leaving you."

Travis removed his fangs from the meat when he finished, a bit of blood running from the corner of his mouth.
