Baby update! Amber started crawling last week finally! She's a little slow going, but she's persistent!
And she's still not babbling, which she should have been doing months ago, but now that I think about it, she does get out the 'mom' or 'mama' sound sometimes when she cries.
She's still close to 13 pounds but not quite reaching it. Her weight gain has slowed a lot, especially since we've all been sick over and over!

Thanks Rue! She will get there! I'm ultra impressed at her progress already! I remember reading about a little preemie boy who couldn't sit up by himself until he was about 5, and even then he preferred to lean back on his hands. Amber was sitting up by 7 months, or 6 months adjusted, which is pretty on track!
She's losing a little weight again though as we've all been sick with one thing or another, and now I don't think her tummy feels good. Not much weight, but she's still not quite 13 pounds and keeps fluctuating underneath it.

Aww thanks!
I wonder if Lumpy's pulling himself to standing and walking along furniture like Amber's supposed to do? *looks for Lumpy*

MysticfawN Aww thanks!
I wonder if Lumpy's pulling himself to standing and walking along furniture like Amber's supposed to do? *looks for Lumpy* Eeeep! Pulling himself up, opening cupboards, flipping through books (the heavy duty kind), and occasionally standing on his own for a few seconds.
He has only said one word, and if yer not listening for it, you won't hear it, but it is "AmberDawn" because it is the word I yell (and scream) the most. (Sounds like "ambuhduhn")
We thought we were hearing it... but figured we were hearing what we wanted to hear.
One night a couple weeks ago, my sister and daughter were playing on the floor. My sister covered the girkl with a blankie and asked Lumpy, "Where's AmberDawn?". He yanked the blankie off her and said "ambuhduhn".
*nods*
Truth!

Amber will get there, and just think about how much you are going to wish for this time back once she DOES start getting into everything! razz

Hehe yeah it was cute when she could just explore the stuff within reach of her. But she's SO CUTE crawling because she's so little, and her right arm kind of sticks straight out first (like a nazi soldier!) before she steps down with it, and I know she won't be like this forever!
I was hoping she'd be happier once she could go where she wanted, but no, now she always crawls to me and bumps her head against my legs to get me to pick her up, but then she's not happy sitting with me either unless I let her bang on the keyboard.
How cute Lumpy can stand for a few seconds sometimes? Well I do remember one of my nieces was walking at 9 months! I couldn't believe it, but I saw her! It's amazing to me when they start saying stuff and know what they're saying! That's awesome his first word is his sister's name!! I think it'll be a while before Amber says anything, but I'm starting to remember how much they understand already when they're little, because when I say "Where's hamster? What's hamster doing?" she looks towards the cage.
It'll be a while before she starts walking too, because although she loves standing up (she gets all excited and starts clicking her tongue,) she doesn't try to move her feet, and she's even reluctant to move them when I coax her to!
How are our pregnant purkles? Not too much longer now!

That has to be one of the cutest things to see her get excited and click her tongue when she stands up!
I think this is the first time I've been tempted to get a cash shop item.

This preggo purkle can't seem to sleep enough... My schedule is all screwy! LOL! I sleep until nearly noon which is CRAZY.... I haven't don't that since BEFORE high school LOL.... But then I want to be up until all hours of the night.... rofl I don't know what it is, baby or just me LOL.... With Mikes I wanted lots of sleep but man not like this! I've only got about 6 weeks left... Maybe less because I plan on being induced! LOL Then little Sean (or Hannah if he's lacking in certain areas!) will be here!
I wish I could see Amber clicking her tongue she sounds so cute...
