Eden just laughed as Tokeru told her his thoughts about whether or not the new Victor kid was going to prove himself useful or not. He was a newb so she wasn't expecting a whole bunch from him as of yet though she did expect him to improve as he went on and grew along with the other hunters. Of course she expected him to follow through with his duties as a hunter and go along with the general guidelines that the hunters had been assigned as a whole. She was confident that the kid would eventually prove himself to be a decent hunter though Eden didn't possess the greatest judgement so she wouldn't be surprised if she ended up being wrong about him. She seemed to have been wrong about Janine even though they were from the Vatican and it was their duty to perform God's will and yet Janine seemed to be sneaking around though Meredith was willing to grant her the benefit of the doubt.
"You're such a pessimist, you should believe in the kid since if you don't of course he's not going to meet expectations!" She slapped him gently in the back and giggled as she began to flee from him down the long hallway. All the while she ran, she just laughed and sprinted as fast as she could. In her mind the thought to motivate her to run extremely fast was that if she didn't make it to the elevator and Tokeru caught her was that she would die. Yeah, it was a dumb game to play and a childish one at that but the thought of it managed to help her run faster despite the fact that it was extremely childish. And amazingly enough it was actually really fun and it was managing to excite her and make her laugh like she was some little kid again. The feeling was definitely a good one.

Tokeru watched as Edith just started running, and he sighed. He was feeling stronger, but not enough to run that entire distance. So he just watched her run, her hair streaming in the air, and kept on walking.

Meredith smiled as she watched her love slowly make his way toward the elevator that she'd decided to race him to. The sprint had taken quite a bit more out of her than she'd expected it to since she did have the near limitless endurance of a vampire. She felt tired for the first timere ever that she'd become a vampire but she had no idea why or how it could or would be. Eden knew she'd been injured before and it hadn't caused her to be this tired then so the question then was why was she so tired now? Had she sustained more damage than she'd thought she'd received? Had seomthing been different somehow and was the fact that she could not recall the entire scenario part of why she was so tired? If so then had someone managed to drug a vampire or beat them hard enough that they'd ended up forgetting everything? The only other option was that someone had toyed with her mind. However, these were questions she would just have to ask Gail about later after getting back to haven.
Eden turned back to face Tokeru with a smile upon her face despite how tired he seemed to be. For whatever reason they were both really tired though Tokeru was tired because he'd tried to harm himself so much and hadn't eaten in days until Gail had helped him. He still hadn't regained all of his strength. As for being angry at him, she'd completely forgotten that she'd been cross with him in the first place, which had been because he hadn't been willing to tell her why he was wanting to be at the Chapter House and because he'd been needing his rest. However, the fact that she realized that he was now speaking coherently again had distracted her by exiting her beyond reason as well as causing her to worry that it was all some cruel dream that she would awake from at any moment. However, she tried to focus on the good and when Tokeru reached the elevator, she embraced him and softly whispered into his ear, "You better not be a dream."

Tokeru smiled when he arrived at the elevator and she hugged him. "I'm not, and if I am, then I dont want you to wake up at all."
He was slowly gaining strength, and probably by the time the elevator arrived at the top, he would be back at full. He didn't know why he was, but he was.
He just hoped that with his abilities supressed, his inability to be hurt would be as well, but that would be a test for later.
He held her tightly as the elevator rose.

When she heard Tokeru say that he wasn't, it helped her to relax about the whole ordeal and she fell somewhat limp in his arms though she still held herself up. The tension that'd been there from worrying a few moments before had been lifted quite a bit but some of the apprehension was still there. "Good," she said with her own small smile, "because to wake up from this would be complete and total hell. I love seeing you smile again without almost struggling to. I love being able to actually communicate with you as opposed to having to constantly read your mind with my own. I can hear your real voice again and I realize just how much I've missed it." As long as he was there with her then she was doing a lot better than she had been but she still couldn't help but worry that all of this was a dream. "Mmmm, I love cuddling you too. You're perfect for cuddling because you're really soft and comfy." She poked his cheek playfully and then set her head on his shoulder, sighing in happiness.

Tokeru was quite content, he hadn't realized he was speaking normally, since he was thinking the exact same way, it was just transferring into words better.
He was fine just holding his love, and since it would take a long time for the elevator to arrive at the top, he was happy.
He had completely forgotten about the scottish hunter, the one that had remained on the bottom floor.....

Meredith was more than content just standing there and holding her love that she'd fallen in love with. For a while she'd been worried that the tortured Tokeru would always be with her and that his smiles would always be dulled by the pain that he'd been through. She'd been worried that she'd never get to speak to him normally again and that he'd never crack one of his stupid jokes or even just laugh and be a complete and total goof. She'd loved how carefree he'd been and that had been a big part of why she'd fallen for him. He'd been fun and he loved having fun himself. He put up with her and her silly little childish antics and went along with them. What'd been even better about it was that he'd enjoyed going along with them and hadn't thought she was completely stupid but rather he'd accepted it fully and enjoyed being silly with her. She'd needed him to be like that again so badly that this moment was perfect to her.

Tokeru was surprised as the elevator jammed to a halt, and he got out with his love. He found a panel on the wall, and opened it up, cranking a knob inside up to the top.
The fans began to spin faster and faster, and Tokeru lept on to the wind created by it, and opened himself to spread as much area on them as possible. He slowly began the ascent upwards.

Edith noticed Tokeru's surprise and while smiling about it, decided to comment on it as well. "You couldn't have expected that moment to last forever, silly. It was a perfect moment and those never last long at all because we want them to but life seems to defy us wanting those precious moments together." She just giggled at him and allowed him to lead her along with his hand clutching hers. His surprise seemed almost like a child's when the elevator had halted to a stop, which amused her highly. At times Tokeru could be so boyish and innocent and at other times he was absolutely feral and hardened like the man that he could be. She preferred his innocence and him being a care-free goof but since he was a leader and all he had to know when it was time to goof around and have fun and when it was time to grow up and be the adult. It was why he was a leader in the first place and she was very proud of her love for being one. And the moment they were taken into the air by the fans lifting them she merely giggled in pleasure and gave him a small kiss. "Muah," she stated as she pulled back from her small kiss.

Tokeru grabbed onto the edge of the hole, accidentally pulling rubble in with him. "WATCH OUT BELOW" he shouted down the 100 foot shaft as he pulled himself upwards.
He stood up and extended a hand for his love.

James stood up and walked to see if they need his help at all."you need a hand?" as he put out his arm down the hole.

Meredith cursed as the rubble fell on top of her only to be blown back up to batter her again. She hastily accepted Tokeru's hand in order for him to pull her up since she was tired of the rubble's abusive nature toward her. Being a vampire didn't change the fact that being hit by on-coming pieces of metal, brick and whatever else there was hurt like a b***h. Not to mention the fact that it was annoying since it sometimes managed to leave small cuts that stung for quite a while before they actually healed. When Tokeru pulled her up, she just brushed off the dust and stood there as if waiting for something.

Adrian stopped being distracted by the shiny object he had been staring at for at least an hour and a half and shook his head, looking around. His shout of outrage was enough to shake the gates of hell itself. " Those b*****d Scunners left me again!!" He started to climb up the shaft again, managing to grab hold of a handy maintenance ladder and quickly ascend upwards. He managed to grab the ledge after massive strain, and ran back to the hole they had gone through. He jumped up, his long sleeveless coats tails sliding through the horrid rubble. He looked at them coldly, and said, his fists shaking. "Ye left me, a known paranoid schizophrenic, in a dangerously unstable dark corridor?"

Tokeru laughed and smiled at Adrian, and with a silent stride through the rubble, patted him on the shoulder with his gloved hand, somehow exuding an aura of comfort.
He winked and returned to his love, who was weaving and almost falling on her feet.
"Love, you've done so much for me, you need to go back and rest"

When Adrian came up, Meredith just burst out in laughter at him though it sort of hurt to laugh since she was extremely fatigued and her body was actually wanting to shut down. Even though she was a vampire, they still went to sleep and rested themselves to replenish themselves though it was usually for less time. Some slept in coffins, which creeped the hell out of her since it was just plain weird and she didn't like to consider herself dead despite the fact that she was. Considering herself dead was just something she couldn't do since she was alive in the sense that she was still the same person and was in a different physical form that was stronger yet had a unique set of vulnerabilities that were dumb to her. She loved the sun and she found that it wasn't fair that she was no longer permitted to tread within the daylight without being fried to a crisp by the very thing that'd once been good for her in doses that weren't too large.
She continued to laugh despite the fact that she hated being a vampire and finally managed to say something despite the aching from her slow-coming fatigue. "I will remember that in the future. You have much too big of an imagination to leave you alone down there by yourself when it's completely dark. I can't imagine what images you might conjure up to scare the s**t out of yourself and drive yourself silly." She then turned to Tokeru and gave him a soft nudge. "You need to rest too, even though you seem like you're ten times more alive than you seemed to be when I had to carry you here because you were too weak to get here on your own. Did you get excited enough that it somehow cured you or gave you some sort of sweet adrenaline rush? I want one of those, I need an adrenaline rush so that I'm not so achey. I feel like I'm old or something and it's really not cool."
