Removing cutlery from a drawer, Jak completed setting the table, Opening the fridge, he set out assorted juices as well as bottles of green tea, then slipped into his chair with a smile.

Suru padded over to the counter, pouring out a glass of milk for himself and looked up at the girls.
"What would you guys like?"
"Green tea, please," cheeped Tessie, and Canti nodded in agreement.
Suru looked back to Jak, smiling.
"How about you, angel?"

Leaning forward, Jak passed the girls each a bottle of green tea, taking a bottle of orange juice for himself.
"I'm good love, thank you" he replied, smiling softly.

He beamed, standing on his toes to kiss Jak on the cheek as he passed. He picked up the tray of souflees over to the table. Setting it down in the center, he made a motion as if to say 'Bon apatite' before slinking off to fill his coffee, then taking a seat between Jak and Tessie.
Canti snatched two souflees quickly, digging in as if she were starved.
Tessie took one, politely waiting for Suru to sit back down before cutting into it.

Jak slipped back into his chair, sliding a souffle onto his plate. Sipping his coffee, he watched Canti wolf down her meal with a grin.

After chowing a few minutes, Canti took a few deep gulps of green tea, then looked up at Jak, imploringly,
"So ... did you talk to Po yet? About coming with you?"

Jak slipped a souffle onto Suru's plate, meeting his eyes briefly. Smiling gently at Canti, he picked up his fork.
"I talked to him. He would like the invitation to come from you love."

Suru smiled warmly at Jak, not responding to the conversation. He wasn't as pleased as he might have been. This was his baby sister in discussion. But Po was a nice guy, and he made Canti happy. If he ever STOPPED fulfilling that role, however ...
Canti beamed, broadly, blushing a little and sitting back in her chair. She suddenly looked just a little shy, but pleased nonetheless.
"Oh, good. I think I'll go over when we're finished, I didn't see him for a couple days. I miss him."

Slipping a hand over Suru's, Jak squeezed briefly, releasing his hand to lift his coffee to his lips.
"He'd love to see you sweetie."
Smiling softly, he sipped his coffee, then took a forkful of souffle, turning his attention to his plate.
((Apparently Suru has forgotten that he's the one who invited Po to move in, even suggesting that he share a room with Canti))

((Nu he hasn't, he's just having second thoughts. It's a lot closer now, and it's made hime think a little more carefully, but he's still behind his decision.))
When Canti and Tess had both finished and gone their seperate ways, Tess back tot he garden, and Canti to get showered and dressed, Suru sighed, deeply, sitting back and squeezing Jak's hand, gently, smiling.
"It's really happening, isn't it? A real family. Maybe mum will even come back sometime soon."

Popping the last morsel into his mouth, Jak swallowed, then edged his chair closer to Suru. He leaned close, brushing Suru's hair back, tucking it behind his ear.
"You've always had a real family. With sisters who adore you, how could you need more?"

"It's different. We've never been together like we will be now. Even with Canti out in her own place, we were always moving so much, and we had a lot of foster kids come and go that mum couldn't keep."
He looked up at Jak, a little shyly, murmuring, "Besides. Now there's you."

"Now there's me," Jak purred, leaning close.
"As long as you're sure you want an oversexed animal around." Jak grinned, brushing his lips briefly on Suru's, then pulled away to stand.
He gathered the dishes together, rinsing them under the tap before stacking them in the dishwasher. He turned, leaning against the counter, a teasing grin aimed back at the man still seated.

He was not still seated, however, standing near behind Jak. He circled his arms around his waist, tenderly, grinning and purring,
"Why, yes, in fact, I would very much like to have an oversexed animal around," he said softly, "I can think of a lot of good uses for one ..."

Jak tugged him closer, purring softly. "Then perhaps you can help me unpack. Afterwards we could think about equalizing the clothing situation...either I'm terribly overdressed or you...." he let his voice trail off, one hand slipping to his waist.
