Miuki woke up, but couldn't open his eyes yet. everything was different... he could smell everything in the room... including the water that surrounded them. he could hear the air passing by him slowly... he opened his eyes finally and peered around the room. evrything was closer than before... then it went back to normal... then it pulsed from one to the next until his eyes focused on the right-in-between picture. he looked towards the door and saw that Shikyo was gone. he slowly rose and crossed the room and opened the door to look outside for her.

Shikyo was standing outside, down the hallway, leaning against the wall. She had only left the room. She looked over when she heard the door open.
Natsumi didn't say anything.

Mitsuki made fist as she tried to control her anger. "Where's X..." She asked.

"I don't kn-" Travis said, then a beeping came from his jacket. He reached in and pulled out a two-way radio.
"Do not worry... you shall see Kalto again." X's voice said over the radio.

"Why do I get the feeling that even if she does see Kalto again, he won't be the same" Angelina said mostly to herself when she heard X's voice.

Miuki looked down and saw Shikyo leaning on the wall in the hallway. she saw him, too. he started walking over to her, but wasn't used to the speed and quickly tripped. only then did he notice how sharp his canines were, as they scratched up his lower lip. he stood up and carefully walked the rest of the way to her, rubbing his lip.
"this is different..." he said, then moved his hand over his throat.
"is... that my voice?" it got a more leathery smooth sound to it.

Travis' eyes widened as he quickly turned off the radio.

Angelina's heart sank to her feet, thrashed, shredded and mangled. Even after everything she had done, nothing helped. "....Isaac......" she said.
