Quote: As if that one word had been a signal, several dozen tons of psychic force surround Goku's head and press inwards. Quote: As such willpower comes into play, resisting of several of the tons of psychic force if it indeed hit. Even then, i n what way was it surrounding it? Above? Below? All round? This was not given, so the psychic attack did not work. There was also atleast two more ways in which it didn't work. There was the way in which his opponent did not know all the proportions of his head yet. And when it comes to psionics, you usually need to know what you are trying to move EXACTLY down to the last detail. There was also constant movement of his head during the pelvic thrust insult. Meaning, the psychic attack would have to constantly be re-focused on his ever moving head. In order for that to be he would have to constantly restart the psychic attack. Meaning lots of wasted energy. Meanwhile, Goku pulled the hood over his head and started doing cartwheels toward his opponent. Why? He was acting insane while approaching. Quote: ((Um, no. That's actually NOT how things work. Surrounding means surrounding, it doesn't matter where your head is moving or anything like that. Its around, then closes in. If you move your head around, it just smacks into the force as it closes in.)) Riddle me this. Where the heck does it say fishbowl in there or that ducking will work. Cause ducking will cause ithe head to smack into the force as it closes in.

Man, I don't think all that OOC had to come from something pretty simple. Good call on locking the thread before the argument went on, Mooo.
Cole kind of answered it in his first OOC post to Dreslin. Dreslin figured that Cole would have to keep refocusing on his head if he was swiveling it around, which would make sense, but Cole's OOC post pretty much clarifies that it's at a distance first (not just applied directly to the head) and closes in kind of like walls (which Cole described in the OOC thread here, planes of force that move inward). That's how I imagined it, too, and as a fishbowl-type thing (which Cole answered it was). The wording as far as autohitting goes doesn't bother me. Since I imagined it as walls, too, the pressing inward part just made me think of the walls quickly closing in, which seems to be the case, leaving room for a proper dodge on Dreslin's part. That example you posted, Mooo, about driving your fist through a magazine to hit somebody and ******** up their dental plan wouldn't even bother me. I don't care if people post stuff in the past tense or as being done, and I always hate when people are picky about that and say, "No, no, you gotta put attempted in there!" It can still be interrupted. Just letting people know where I stand on that if a problem arises. I'll just tell you to pretend they put attempted in there, if it'd be a legit attack otherwise, and go on.
I agree that several dozens of tons of force is much, too. But anyway....
It could've been described just a little better, because I can easily see how someone would think it's just a sudden pressure on all sides of the head, even intangible force (or something like that) coming through the neck, which seems to be what Dreslin interpreted it as. So...I'm gonna let Dreslin go on this one, and no big punishment to Cole either or anything. Small problem. I think the best bet would be to have Dreslin edit his post to respond according to the details that I think've been sorted out.

Meh, sorry for all the OOC. Gave me something to do, but I guess it helped insomnia. I'll take note of the magazine thing. I'm out. Night, everyone.

I've been meaning to ask you, as a next post in my fight with Shadow, should I just make a new post that was at the same point as the defense before, or should I just go an edit my initial blocking post to include more detail?

Hiroki - Just make a new post and make sure to drive the point home.
Well, I unlocked the thread. You should just edit your last post, Dres, and then Cole can go from there.
Edit: I'm outto here, too. Night/morning, Cael and everyone else.

Danke, Clash.
While I don't agree 100% with what you'd put, I do agree with you in your decision, as it's as good a compromise as any. Were you gonna unlock the thread/delete my post, or shall I do the honors?
Edit: Never mind. ******** you, lag, ******** you. xd

Already unlocked it and deleted the OOC. =3
Oh yeah, and about the paste tense stuff...if it's just crazy autohitting nutsness, then it obviously wouldn't be legit. I'm just saying that if somebody made a post that even said, "I walk up to you and punch you in the face," rather than making a deal out of it or saying it's an autohit...I'd just block as I normally would and go on, if that's all it is. That's obviously a really crappy post, too, and any roleplayer in their right mind wouldn't make it, and it leaves you up to assuming and I'd pity someone having to fight an idjit doing that, but just saying.
Night for real now. xp
