Sentama Lin On a random note... I'm trying to find good rations or foodstuffs to take with me during my hitchhiking trip. I'm looking for something lightweight but possesses all the nutrients/calories one would need. All I can find right now, however, are some emergency rations, but those were made for emergencies though (obviously). Well... if you can scrape together the fundage and a small burner, freeze-dried foods are the best for that sort of thing... So... does that mean you're eventually heading out this way sometime still? ^_^

That's very true, but money will be a little tight until my loans are finally renewed for school. My school is making me prove my citizenship before approving my FAFSA. Luckily it's almost done.
And yes, I still plan on doing it. I just need to find the time to do it (summer is planned maybe) and find the laws of hitchhiking. I hear hitchhiking in Cali and Oregon isn't too bad...

Hehheh... I know that, aretoo. I don't plan on hitchhiking through Washington because of that. I'll have a bus pass on me too just in case.
I'm a bit uneasy about the people I'll meet for rides. From what I heard, I'll either meet religious weirdos or weirdos in general. However, it seems people have had good experiences with US hitchhiking.

Heh... I've never actually tried it... smile
The bus pass back-up is a great plan, though... as well as a cell phone with a good coverage plan.
EDIT: Er... did I scare everyone else off??? confused

I don't think so? At least I don't think you'd be the cause.
The bus pass is a good backup; I don't want to end up in the desert somewhere and having to live inside a cactus.

Actually, I've never seen a cactus as you would think of it growing in a desert area. I've only seen them on the hills of San Diego (though I don't actually go out looking for cactus, yeah. >.>). Now joshua trees, they're a different story. wink

I got a cactus ony my desk. In fact...I don't know anyone who doesn't have ...or had a cactus sometime in their life. True story...seems like everyone has one...my former (when I was 8yrs or so) best friends dad had loads of them...I'm not sure if he bred them...but he had like 243623742637423...+/-1.
Germany...where the cactus goes home to eat some schnitzel.
