See, I'm not a fan of Dreslin here. I'll admit, he's got skillz, but the execution is driving me up the wall. Both me and Cole have been set against him what, twice now a piece? Does no one see our complaints?
And screw it being an autohit. If Cole had done a lesser effect on everything around Dreslin, would it have been an auto? No, thats an area attack.
I'm just pissed in general and feel like hopping into this specific debate. XD

Anonymooo Do that in PM, and quote the people here. xd So are we in a general consensus that the move was bullshit, and should be repealed? I'd suggest punishments too, but I think that a repeal is all you'll get out of him or Clash.

Right here moo, and fyi I'm actually talking to Clash here too.
Psionics aren't the newest trick in the book, or the cheapest. Its a simply worded attack because its a simple attack period. It doesn't take a whole lot of thought to devise a counter.
And besides, he can just use his fix all to get out of it. Haotien stance that makes him invulnerable or something like that.

Anonymooo Here's an example of me doing what Cole just did: "Mooo saw Curse standing two feet away from him, reading a magazine. Mooo knew that Curse was a strong opponent, and that he would have to get the jump on him if he were to have any REAL advantage in a fight. At that moment, the muscles of his hip and shoulder propelled his fist through the magazine into Curse's face, destroying years' worth of good dental hygiene." It's an autohit, in my book. 1- Poorly described. "Tons of psychic force surround Goku's head and press inwards." You did a pretty decent return to his post, Dres. 2- NO ******** OOC IN A TOURNAMENT THREAD. xd 5- Yeah, autohit. If Cole-dude is on now, I should suggest he get in here to defend himself, if he so desires. Hahaha! I love that image. XD Especially given their characters.
Hey, where's 3 and 4?
I agree with Mooo. He doesn't need to add how your head will squish like a grape to make it an autohit. If anything, he should have to focus in psionics. Since he did not exactly say how large this field of force pressing in is, you could reasonably assume moving would keep him from pinning it down until he accounts for it. Thus, it should take him some time to focus first.

I'm too lazy to find out exactly what "punishments" entail around here, but I think repealing the move and doing something else is a fair-enough thing to ask for. Autohitting is bad, it's been bad since my T1 days back in... wow, 1997.
...God damn. xd
I understand your complaints, Tacitus. But my main problem is that's a specific, directed attack, with an obvious intent and an obvious result that's, well... not very clearly described.

Shitshitshit... I really don't know if I can win in a fight where people are using something like psionics. I'm not clever enough to know if I could get out of that situation...

Why the heck would I bother focusing? Set planes of force moving in a direction and its just a couple seperate beams. Used singularily they're like a psychic punch or a psychic wall.
Now, using my BRAIN if I set those planes moving in on a point I suddenly have a simple and lethal attack don't I?

What's the worst about Dreslin? Maybe that should be addressed instead. I admit, I've skimmed most of his posts because I don't like the way it's all basically the same. I did see some stuff about... ahem... flatulence... And it did kinda stir me in a "WTF" way. But, still, you shouldn't fight that with basically an auto-hit. I think his counter was reasonable unless you describe your brand of psionics a little more.
Edit: Okay, Cole. Be happy, jeez. Why not put that in the post?

Again, it all comes back to the description, and the fact that it wasn't written as an attempt, but rather as a hit.
Like Cael said, "why not put that in the post?" If it was so simple, then describe how and why it was simple. Show how he was attempting to do said action, instead of just him DOING that action (and summarily validating it).

Toastbusters Shitshitshit... I really don't know if I can win in a fight where people are using something like psionics. I'm not clever enough to know if I could get out of that situation... Like I said--they'll make a bad move eventually. Punish them with better technique. 3nodding

Go read his other fights if you need proof, not just mine.
If anyone needs proof that this is a completely legal attack, they're welcome to ask for it in a PM. Just as long as Dreslin doesn't then get the PM I'm fine.
Because in case no one noticed, I tried to make the fight interesting. His response was rude and insulting, so I took of the bloody kid gloves.
And Moo, before you start laying out judgement I suggest you get in contact with the man who set up the bloody tourny.

Hiroki Garu Mitsu Add in my agreement. That was total auto-hit. Thats like me going: *I snap my fingers and you suddenly start to burn on the inside* You do realize that if someone were to do that by using their brain (as a player) that it could not be an autohit, right? "I snap my fingers and the temperature in a sphere around your current location becomes a bajillion degrees" There, not an autohit. Well, it would be less n00by than that, but you get the idea. *random grumbling*

Cole, it's not just Moo who believes that what you're doing is an autohit. I think we all are pretty certain it's a spade. But what I don't understand is... It's not like this is some clever, super-awesome attack which you have been planning an entire fight around. Why are you fighting tooth and nail for it? It's just a simple, opener. Take the move back and return to the battle. I'm sure this isn't some key technique which will ultimately decide the winner of this battle. Frankly, I think you should give up and just do it. Seriously, this has been a ridiculous argument through and through.
