1st period - Freshman class, lots of young black kids. It has been established that one of them is the class clown but not sure yet if he's going to be trouble. What is interesting to note here is that this is one of the friendlier freshman classes I've seen, so that's a definate plus.
3rd period (we didn't get to see our second period class today) - Junior class, at the moment details towards this class are kind of sketchy. All I remember is that the potential trouble makers made themselves known very quickly. Overall, though, this is a pretty good class.
6th period - Junior class, I think this will be our class from hell. Four boys, who all sit in the back, have already been dubbed the three stooges + 1. One goth-ish boy, not sure about him yet. Manga reading girl, who is very quiet and didn't talk with anyone but preferred to read. Lots of athlete/extracurricular students ... lots of potential trouble.
7th period - Junior class, our class with the only special ed kid, though I think he might be more along the lines of gifted and talented. (one of those real bright, sort of eccentric kind) Another pair of the three stooges, bad attitudes and more rebellous than most at first glance. This is the smallest class, but it has the potential of being the class from hell itself.
I was a ghost pretty much today. I just sat and observed, but I was by no means just sitting there. twisted

Ashram's life does not sound very appealing right now. 'Course, teaching could be fun, but it's more likely to drive you insane. Especially if you have a bunch of little punks in your class.

When I was taking a teaching class about two semesters ago, our professor let one of his older students, who was teaching in Louisiana, tell us about her experiences ... To put it quite bluntly, she was teaching in probably the worst school in the state. She experienced a great deal of racism aimed at her ... because she was a white teacher in an almost all black school.

Simply put, we won't learn. Some of us, and maybe a great number of us will learn, but unfortunately not enough. (of course, this does not mean that we do not try)
