Kitty the Ninja Pikachu Armelle of the Forest Ugh, it's soooooo slow! Everyone is sick or busy! xd I'm having trouble finding time to post for more than one character a day... Is there anyone who really needs me to post? I've kinda lost my place with some of my characters... sick?! that's new D': busy, I get. The new year's approaching, and I get to celebrate it with you guys this year~ ^^ well, Estonia isn't aware that there's a meeting for the myth club I know Nintendraw is sick right now and Mint has been battling sickness for a while. Seems like there was someone else who wasn't feeling well, too... Oh, I guess if it's lunch I need to have Finland tell all the club members about the meeting! When I can get to my main computer today I'll do that.

Sorry I'm not posting much. Didn't get home to really late and I'm suppose to be going out again.... starting January, I'll practically be under house arrest until I finally find a job....

That's why I'm going to try to get a job before I graduate because once you have a degree it's harder to get small, local jobs. Have you tried putting a résumé on monster.com?

That's why I'm going to try to get a job before I graduate because once you have a degree it's harder to get small, local jobs. Have you tried putting a résumé on monster.com? I have =w=; I just keep getting requests from some shady places.... everything I've already applied for either I never hear back or I'm denied on the spot.

yeah. Like there was one from Raleigh that seemed promising with accepting entry level graphic designers with training and such, but when I looked up the reviews, turns out what they have you do is go to a Best Buy and go around asking people what cable they use and get them to sign up for this company. So you're basically a door to door salesman harassing Best Buy customers.... =w=; which explained why that one time my sister went Best Buy people kept asking her what cable she uses when she only wanted to get a dvd. And things like Jobsforstudents things or whatever I kept seeing back on campus year after year is pretty much selling a kit that you end up buying, and some how make a profit. So another door-to-door saleman thing.

Since my major has nothing to do with history on my little history adventures I've been collecting business cards and tried to make good impressions so maybe one day they'll help me out or consider hiring me one day. Maybe you should do something similar? "It's not what you know it's who you know." kinda deal huh =w=; well see the thing is as a final year project we all made business cards and I've gotten a few already and I'm now down to like 5 left out like 150... and I'm trying to find places that I can at least show that I have knowledge in such and such area since fast food and even gas stations are turning me down for "lack of confidence"

When I can get to my main compute Ir today I'll do that. I'm conscious enough to post, but there's nothing for either of my characters to do here, and I'm waiting for posts almost everywhere else. Actually, what I need to do is post in another guild... I suppose the lull gives me more time to recover. What bites is that my family always gets sick in the exact same way: Bro gets sick first from "being macho" and not wearing jackets (I know CA winters are relatively mild, but really!) and/or I get sick first from not sleeping enough, and then Mom gets sick, and then Dad. So predictable, yet we can't break it XD

I know my only legit edge/appeal is I know both history and Chemistry so even if they don't need straight up history people I can still be useful because I'm familiar with cataloging data or how to handle preservation/restoration chemicals. That sort of stuff which is useful no matter what. I don't know much about graphic art, but if you can get a job which will benefit from you knowing how it works and will help build up your credibility that might be good. Then eventually ease into the profession. yeah, that's kinda what I'm trying to do but no dice. =w=;; The skills I can use from my degree is just making graphics, basic art designing rules/tricks, and traditional photography with knowing how to cut, mat, and frame. Outside of it I just know how to do some basic apparel, and fine arts (like pottery, crafts, painting with acrylics and watercolors) Chris keeps suggesting retail stores that does printing like Staples and Office Depot. I've already applied to Micheal's craft store and Hobby Lobby.... twice (months from each other of course)
