Faust followed, stumbling slightly on his oversouled legs. "I'm sorry about all this," he murmered as Mephisto wandered off to sulk. "He's my friend... but a lot of that is because the alternative is too horrible to imagine."

"I'll take your word on it..."She sighed. She really didn't have any friends. Everyone in the gang, well, they were more like allies than friends. They would have her back in a fight, but they wouldn't risk their lives for her. She couldn't acutally depend on them.

"Sounds like me and Fang...He's hurt me badly, and I have alot of scars and stuff from him, but he only does that to try to make me strong enough to keep up with the others...."She shrugged.

Faust nodded. "See? We understand each other. I'm sorry that you had to have that kind of relationship... but I'm glad that we can relate." they had reached the bedroom they had found earlier and judged to be not quite as hideous as the other ones.
