DarkElf27 I'm halfway through Descent of Angels by Mitchel Scanlon, and I'm quite liking it. Much better at character development than the last one I read. talk2hand A lot of people hate this one because it's got less to do with the actual Heresy and more with, gasp, setting things up for the inevitable fraction of the Legion.

Lt. Brookman DarkElf27 I'm halfway through Descent of Angels by Mitchel Scanlon, and I'm quite liking it. Much better at character development than the last one I read. talk2hand A lot of people hate this one because it's got less to do with the actual Heresy and more with, gasp, setting things up for the inevitable fraction of the Legion. I think that's why I like it. He's not trying to rehash the same bit of plotline like the last couple books have, he's actually laying groundwork for why the Dark Angels themselves are different, rather than just another pre-heresy legion. The progression is completely different, and I like it.

And done with Mechanicum, it was an okay read I suppose. I thought I remembered things differently, but oh well.

Got Knights of the Imperium yesterday, which is a novella about House Cadmus and their recent split with the Adeptus Mechanicus. It was an okay read, bit too short, but eh, it was fluffy, pseudo-misogynistic and well, typical 40k schlock really about sacrifice, honour and those other things.

I tried to, but some Abnett novels I just can't get into, period, for some reason.
I'm re-reading Brotherhood of the Storm now, the last limited edition Horus Heresy novella I bought before common sense finally returned to me. First time round it was certainly the most disappointing one of the three I got.

I just finished Legion, and let me say, wow. My whole interpretation of the Horus Heresy got turned on it's head, and that doesn't often happen to somebody who's been in the hobby as long as I have. =X

Decided to finally go about reading Pawns of Chaos, a book that's probably a wee bit older than some of the people around here. xd I've had it on my shelf for well over a decade now.

Rereading Deathwing, now there's a classic full of outdated fluff.
