Screw it, I'm posting pics of my costume. I'm really proud of how the makeup turned out, it was really cool-looking, especially in person. I'm also proud of my Halloween lenses. Here are some pics:

First, these are the Halloween lenses I got. They're prescription, and actually last a long time, I can keep wearing them if I want-

If you somehow still can't tell what I am... Let's keep it that way. If you can tell... And you're offended... Can I make it up with some potential lulz in the next picture?


Best. Picture. Ever. She's willing to put up with how horrible she looks in that picture just because of the lulz it gives us. 'Nuff said. Also, she made a great witch. Not photogenic though, nobody can seem to take a picture that does her justice. >:/

BTW, the Friday before Halloween I wore my costume without the makeup, just the contacts, wreath, and garments. I was pretty much applauded by passersby and had random strangers approach me wanting to talk to me, shake my hand, get a hug, stare into my contact-covered eyes. It was great, I may put up a pic of that too, though it wasn't as interesting.

@Rotting Gnarl: Zombie Jesus ******** YEAH!! That's just great.

@Mana- Sorry, nice tattoos. xd I just think that for me tattoos are more interesting to see in person, cuz you can see how it looks on the whole person, what's noticeable, etc. But you get yours on purpose in places they won't be seen, so I wouldn't see much. Which I guess makes them more personal for you, I guess? I dunno. At any rate, the designs are tasteful. 3nodding

@Judas- With your name, you ought to be scared if Jesus comes back. xd

@Jigsaw- No weapons? Wow. You're a true warrior to have taken the hunter down with your bare hands.

Actually, I did think of stigmata. And after thinking it over a bit, we figured there wasn't really a good way for us to do it. Your palms sweat, and they fold all into themselves whenever you grasp anything. Applying those wounds would be impossible, and any type of paint or gore would leave me unable to touch or pick up anything the whole night. I could have just colored red spots on my palms, but that would've just looked really cheap. It just wouldn't work.

Also, if you wanna get that technical, the stakes were driven through his forearms, not his palms. Otherwise they would have just torn off the flesh along the finger bones and not done their job of holding his arms up.

Similarly, we considered having a tear and blood in my side for the spear wound, but having a tear would be weird and inconveniet, as I only wore boxers under that. Kinda awkward, both in having that hole and in applying a wound there. Also, the material was thick. Thick enough to keep me warm outside. Tearing it would be difficult and wasteful.

And as for my wreath, I am aware that it is not a crown of thorns as it should be. But I am proud of the fact that I had that, it's actually natural, those leaves are real. Bought it at a faerie festival a while back. I wanted to use an actual crown of those 1-2 inch thorns that were used that my favorite history teacher at my school has for when he covers the biblical ages, but he wouldn't lend it to me because he's devout and didn't want to get involved. Still, all things considered, it looks pretty damn good. biggrin

Jigsaw - Which one on my back? I have the wings and the Latin inscription, if you clicked the link.

Gnarl - I get tattoos in places that can't really be seen because of my hopefully future line of work as a multilingual management assistant. I don't think lots of piercings and visible tattoos are too much of a plus if I want to get employed. D: That's why I've only got piercings on my ears, tongue and belly and nothing too radical, though I do have 4 on my right ear and 8 on my left. ninja

Don't worry. Once you get to work and prove yourself worthy, there won't be anything that could stop you from having tattoos in other places. At least I think so.

@Gnarl: I'm just nitpicking. It was an excellent costume, the makeup was very well done. The only way it could've been any more epic would be if you had worn a dinosaur facemask along with it.
