"thank you Ma'am"

He thanked Jin, genuinly glad for her words. The ways of old had taught him that sometimes, even a small oversight like giving your name at the right time was a bad move.

The thought passed and his face held a suprised but amused look as Casumi hugged him. He hugged her back, unsure of what else to do. He was specialised in looking after adults, specifically women, children had no place in their mother's bedrooms, not trained to look after children.

He knew the girl embracing him was special, was innocent, and he was damned if he was the reason the child would loose her innocence.

"it's just Andras, ok?"

He asked of the child. The 'Mister' part had sounded out of place to him, and if the mother was teaching Casumi manners, she might as well teach her about servants he thought.

Before he had a chance to thank her for her consideration, she had already planted the kiss on his cheek, making him look up to her mother with a plea of help on his face. He was more than lost as to how to respond to Casumi.

Feeling just as lost, he let her play with his horns not knowing what else to do, and whilst getting more and more embarrased, listened to her curiosity and answering it best he could.

"I'm a European Dragon"

He told her, hoping her mother would step in and do something with the child, or at least, give some hint as to what he should be doing.

"we come from very far away"

Once again, he threw the mother a look of help, only to catch her sheepish look and coment. He sighed quitely. He had no idea what was going through the mother's mind, but whatever it was, he knew she wasn't likely to provide the help he had hoped for.

He nodded at Casumi.

"see how there's scales on my tail? they are what makes me a dragon"

He then spread his wings before folding them again, the kitchen not being an ideal place to display them.

"the wings show my European heritage"

He explained, only to be severly distracted from what he was trying to explain as she continued playing with his horns. Unfortunatly, certain areas of his horns induced sexual feelings, and Casumi, in her innocence, had discovered said areas.

He tried to make eye contact with Casumi, now looking very embarrased and wanting her to stop, but his teaching held him back from asking outrightly for her to stop. Instead, he decided to study the ground.

"we prefer the colder north.. "

His voice dropped in volume as he concentrated on what he was telling her, trying his best not to be distracted by the feelings she was inducing in him.

He was glad when the mother called the girl. He had no idea what would have happened if she had continued playing with him, but was glad they would not find out.

"likewise, Ma'am"

He spoke, still looking at the ground, not daring to look at Casumi, or caring about the fact that it might seem rude him not acknowledging her good bye.

He stayed kneeling for another few minutes after they had left, trying to get his mind around what was happening and calming himself down, before getting a drink, and once finished, left the kitchen to explore the house further.

Soon, he came to the living room, noting its decor. It looked like a friendly place, and so far, the occupants he had met had all been friendly.

He continued his exploration into the living room, making his way over to the window and looking out into the garden, before lifting his gaze at the sky. He may be domesticated, but the open sky had a certain hold on him, not unusual given he was a dragon.

The desire to be outside and fly was strong today, especially given the half-disaster with the little girl. It had left him shaken. Hence, he missed the fact that another person had entered the room.

"that it is..."

He responded with longing in his voice before realising someone unknown to him was speaking.

He turned around to face the speaker then, noting the air of superiority commonly found among upper class around the man.

A smile of recognition crossed his face as he bowed gracefully to the man and introduced himself.

"I am Andras"

"learning the layout of the house, Sir"

He replied, not hesitating with the reply but making sure not to make eye contact with Arioch. He had already recognised Arioch to be one who understood the class differences and given what Andras was wearing, it made sense that Arioch would come to the conclusion he was a slave.

In some respects, he was. His job lay in the dark grey area between servant and slave. He received an income, like a servant, but served like a slave.
