Jason Kharo Caleidah As far as the Codices go, the Dark Eldar are a fast hit and go race that are supposed to specialize in lightning raids against their enemies. Darklances are the same as Brightlances. S8 AP(2?) and all armor with a value higher than 12 becomes 12. Expect for Monoliths.Which is why you field two Fire Prisms against Necrons. S10 AP1 against 'em. -=Edit=- S10 AP1 if you use one Prism to power the other.

In a point value game where a necron player would actually USE a monolith, I'd have 2 Fire Prisms as my heavies. They're great against...well...pretty much everything.
That being said, I love the Banshees. They are pure win. They've had some bad times, like fleeting an inch short of the charge on a unit of Devastators with heavy bolters. But they've done some amazing things, like killing a full unit of Khorne berserkers in close combat. If your unit gets hit by Doom and is close to a unit of Banshees, just take them off the board now. Move over, Bicardi and Coke, Doom and Banshees are taking over <3

So, a question/test idea...
Im getting my squad of fire dragons in soon. you know, these guys http://www.mrocznyraj.pl/sklep/images/produkty/wh40k-Eldar-Fire-Dragon.jpg
Anywhooo, my Eldar craftworld i've made with purple and black (My favorite color combo) to reflect my craftworld be a world of "Stealth" and "sneaky actions". With this in mind, I also wanted to try something new. I DONT like fire. Honestly. SO, I'm tempted to try something...
How does a squad of fire dragons with a BLUE color scheme, i.e., ICE DRAGONS sound?....Ok, maybe not ICE dragons, but blue fire dragons.
instead of reds and oranges, blues and whites, and instead of golds, silvers. What is the reaction to this on a craft word of stealth? I might call them "Moon Dragons" and have the blues be more moon related or something of that nature.

They'd look like "proper" scheme Dire Avengers, but I like the concept.
However, nobody is going to piss/moan if you paint them your own scheme. If they do and continue to even after you've explained yourself, punch them in the throat.
Honestly, I think that'd be cool. Just explain it that they use hotter weaponry.

So annoyed that I ordered a TON of GWS paint, and half of it wasnt even the tone shown online...pfffh...
Also, Can you explain to me how the SS Biting blade works and how the other combo works? Cause I think I'm missing the point of the blade. Personally, I'm someone that likes to go for more ATKS then Dmg since my Atks are more likely to wound the more I have I feel...

They come with Mandiblasters, which add attacks.
The Biting Blade adds +1 strength to the attack for every attack that hits. So...Exarch is base strength 3. On the charge, let's say you land 4 attacks. That makes all of those 4 attacks hit at S7.

Dire Exarches: On the playing field, which do you feel plays better?
Power weapon and shimmer shield? or Dire Sword and Shurken Catapult?
I wanna do the spear JUST CAUSE it looks sooo awesome and I have a love for lance based weapons...

Take 2 Avenger Catapults, in every game I've played Eldar, they have always done some of the worst damage to my Marines.

Well, we're coming down to it. The tourny match at my school is coming. and for the first round, its 500pts, vs. ?????
So now, to make my first eldar Team. So far, this was my idea....bbuuuuuut, I'm a little bit...over....So, suggestions ARE NEEDED
HQ: Farseer (1): 125pts. Equip: Spirit stones (+20) Rune of witnessing (+10) Abilities: Doom (+25) Guide (+20)
Troops: Dire Avengers (9): 120pts. Exarch (1): 59pts. Equipment: 2 Shurikans (+5) Abilities: Bladestorm+Defend (In case we get into close combat) (+30)
Rangers (5): 95pts.
Elites: Striking Scorpions (4): 64pts. Exarch (1): 34pts. Equip: biting Blade (+5)
Fire Dragons (5): 80
TOTAL: 577pts.
....Sooo yeaaaaaaaaaaah, that needs a LITTLE BIT of shaving there...I know i can do without the exarch on the fire dragons, but the exarch on the Dires are a MUST, and the SS's, idk...I would think one can only do right by one.

If you have a Fire Dragon Exarch, ditch him. This is one of the few instances that I will encourage putting an Exarch on a less than full size Dire Avenger squad. Split them into two groups.
As a warning for what you MIGHT see, a Tau list at 500 pts from me would field 28 models. I can field a Chaos list with 21 models, one of which is a Daemon Prince. Eldar aren't horribly expensive, and you don't want to be at a big numerical disadvantage.

Diresword + Pistol is better for your Avenger Exarch.
You kite your opponent around the table until you get cornered, unleash bladestorm, then charge and let the Exarch do the rest.
