Once again, the chakra was applied to the boy. He felt it moving through the boy's mind and working its way to form the illsuion again. He figured, that by now, Shin was probably use to the illusion and it wasn't bothering him anymore so he switched to another image. Simply allowing the chakra to flow slightly differently once it had contacted the boy's mind was more than enough.
Standing up, he sighed a bit and stretched before touching Shin's head. He released the jutsu and began to walk back and forth. His legs were cramping like crap and he hated it. He moved around and jogged in place then walked back to the boy and applied the chakra again.

And another flawless execution. He was getting this jutsu and fast. He felt confident about the jutsu and being able to get it down before sundown but he was still cautious. He had to have exact control over his chakra or else he'd push too much and force some horrifying image inot the boys head. But this wasn't one of those times. he was able to apply it quite easily this time around. Maybe the boy simply was getting weary from all the previous attacks. At whatever rate, Roy was getting to like genjutsu even more than he had before. This was gonna be a fun little trick to use on people. Course, he couldn't see himself doing it to people he loved. Least not this genjutsu. He'd use another one, one more for comedy if anything. He couldn't dare bare the pain of freaking out someone he liked.
Thankfully, he didn't like Shin (jk) so he applied the chakra once more.

Shinku tried his best to listen to the bits and pieces of conversation imbetween illusions. It was kinda hard, but it was possible. He did catch, however, that the clan Katare was referring to was a lightning affinity clan and there were only two others besides his own. "Ok... Since you aren't talking about my clan, the Myaku, then you must be reffering to either the Raiken or the Raika, two clans that branched off, but have different abilities... my guess though is that you might be talking about the Raikens... I had one of each as classmates and the Raiken moved so fast that he ended up being our teacher withing a few months... it was insane... " He broke off there as another illusion swept over him, not as bad but still worrysome. Breaking out of that one he saw the book Katare had and set it down... he couldn't read now when he was busy being a lab rat.

This wasn't working again. Of course, it could have just been shere tiredness. If nothing else, it was simply a sign that the boy was still not use to doing this jutsu. he rubbed his eyes for a moment as he waited for his chakra to rebound the way he needed or wanted it too rather. Taking a few moments, he looked to the two boys for a bit. He had very little clue what they were taking about. Things from oher villages were, after all, obscured by boundaries and rumors. Roy hated rumors. They were never relaiable and while each and every one of them was based on some bit of truth but figuring otu that truth was a pain he would rather not got hrough.
Glancing again at the boy he was working on, he began to try again to get this jutsu under his belt. He was almost there. He had other things in mind once he was done after all. He couldn't really mess with this for too long but, like most things, he couldn't take things for granted.

This was getting to be a bit easier than normal. He was working with several factors but that was good. The two people talking was giving a bit of distraction, close to what he'd be in in a real battle...no, absolutly nothing could prepare you for real battle except real battle. The war taught him that. he had seen several things he wished he'd never even known about. He knew death was always a horrid thing but that was his first time seeing it up close and on such a massive scale. He couldn't really phathom it. However he didn't cry. He didn't whine like many of the ANBU thought he would. That's what earned him their respect. He showed proper fear and respect but he didn't let it wear him down. He showed that he was human but that he knew what was at stake. It was something the ANBU admired in him as many students of the academy these days were so eager to kill and slaughter without much real reaction to death.
This slipped his mind into a very stone cold status. He almost forgot to reduce the power of the jutsu so as not to drive the boy insane. He released him from the jutsu and tried to put him back in it almost at thes ame time.

Yet another failure. He was focusing too much on his horrid memories...those bodies and the various things they had to do to keep them from contaiminating the area. It was horrid. He would ahve prefered to bury them all but there simply wasn't enough time or places to get them all down.
He sighed and decided to let it flow from his mind. He sat there with his legs crossed and his eyes closed. He focused on the here and now and that he was here because those people sacrificed themselves to protect something they loved. He smiled and then lookedup to Shin. He was going to do this and get this jutsu. No question about it.

Just....maybe not right now. He sighes a bit and looks to the boys in front of him. He wrapped his arms around himself and held his body for a moment. His chakra flowed hard and weird and he began to calm down. It took a moment and looked to them. They probably thought he was having a bad moment or was going insane. No...not yet. He was past insanity. Look at his mother.
He sat there and began to look to the two boys after looking skyward. He couldn't find a good cloud in the sky nor anything to to distract him. He eventually came back to his senses and looked to the boy once more. He was getting a little annoyed by this now and needed it done.

Yea...that was it. He took a good moment to move his chakra the way he needed it to move but it was doing just great. He was pushing his chakra bit further than it was use ot....no it was use to it. It just didn't like him. For whatever reason it was, he was definatly having a better time of it now. He knew his chakra syustem was moving properly...or rather he knew what paths to move the chakra. It was still just taking its times.
He began to focus and undid the jutsu on the boy. He began to reapply the jutsu for a moment and wondered what the boy was invisioning. He couldn't picture it but he hoped it was something gruesome...well...maybe not.

Shinku felt the justu break into his mind over and over again, with very few breaks imbetween. Roy was starting to seriously break down his mental defences. He finally got a break though. Looking up at Roy, he noticed the boy was getting seriously tired. He wiped the sweat from his face once more... he already had a headache. "You should drink more of the water... " He propped himself up on a rock while he was out of the nightmarish illusions. He looked over at Katare. He wasn't sure if the boy had said anything else...

Roy looked to Shinku and laughed a bit. He was giving him advice on this...hmmm not like he couldnt' take it but meh, he was getting more tired than thursty. His body needed pure rest, not water...well ok, it needed that too but thats besides the point. That's when he noticed the sweat leave the boy's brow. He arched a brow and tossed the water back to him.
"Here, you look like you need it mroe than I do. Hay if this is messing with you too much, just say so. I can always go find Etna and use her again. I don't want to make you as crazy as that fruit cake next to you." He grinned as he waved playfully to Katare. He then crossed his legs and took a deep breath. he knew he was getting close. It was a matter of deciding weather ot fight his body or listen to it...it shouldn't be that much harder...no, it should be fine. He smiled to Shin and raised his hands again in the Rat seal,"Here we go."

Again nothing. He felt his body shiver a bit. The chakra pull was getting to his system. It was starting to sting just to pull the chakra together in his body but not that much. He wasn't to a point where he had to stop...not yet at least. His body was still young and he'd probably be sour as hell tommarow but for now, he could keep going. he was almost there. He could feel it. he knew that he almost had it...he just couldn't figure out what he was doing wrong.
Thinking back on it now, he wished the cat hadn't left. Least she could tell him his wrong doing and what not. he felt a bit odd about this really...he was getting help from a cat on a jutsu...what was the world like 600 years ago to where a cat could learn a jutsu...for that matter, how coudl she talk? He never did get around to asking her that. probably wouldn't give hima straight answer anyway...he simply sighed and looked to shin and injected him with chakra again

Alost...he felt his chakra build. he felt it flowing through his body properly but still nothing. It was not there again. He couldn't get the chakra to move just right...no...somethign just wasn't right. Maybe his body wasn't reacting properly. Maybe he wasn't using the right chakra channels to pump the chakra through. All these things had to be taken into concideration or else he'd always botch it up. he couldn't have that now could he. He wasn't about to do that this time...no, not now. He couldn't.
He took a deep breath and looked up tot he sky. he felt a little...awkward...chakra flow was screwed up...had to be what was wrong. He felt it moving weird and knew it was cause he was pushing it too hard. He let his body rest for a few moments, checking it to make sure his chakra system wasn't injured...a simple thing to do relaly. he simply pushed a pulse of chakra through his system and waited to see if it hurt when it passed through any point of his body. No major pain, just a dull sensation in his hand region. That was to be expected. He just shrugged it off and soon retried the jutsu.

Shinku took the water with a smile and drank a good portion of it. It was ahot day out... and that could have a good effect on him as well as the genjustus... "Nah, I'll be fine... I can take it. Besides... if I couldn't take it, my sister would beat the crap out of me... and bruise my ego too... you know how much I hate that." He took a deep breath and prepared himself for the next illusion. This could proove to be good training incase he went on a mission and their opponent used genjutsu... He had to prepare for anything he could while he could. That was all there was to it.

He was getting so sick of this. he could feel his chakra beginning to move like it needed too but it just wasn't staying in the right position...what the hell was wrong with him? He laid back for a long moment, looking up to the sky. He couldn't feel his arms for a moment...the blood had flowed out of them. They were numb but they came back fast. Sitting up, he glanced to the boy. Maybe his defences were higher than Roy gave him credit for...that was possible but after hit after hit, he wouldn't have had high defences anymore...they'd have been worn down through sheer tiredness. What a drag.
He looked over and began to apply his chakra again.

That was it...he just needed a bit of rest between each hit...yes that would do it. He could work his magic ont he boy and get his mind settled back right and then release him for the next onslaught. That wouldn't be that hard. He could fee the chakra flowing just fine now and it hit Shin hard. Not a bad image again but one to startle him. Just to toss things up a bit, and kind of give Shin a break, he gave him the image of his sister getting her butt kicked literally. It was mre for comedic puproses but again, this genjuts was ment to distort and disturbe so it quickly turned into something he wouldn't like.
Roy broke it whe he saw the look ont he boys face and then rested for a moment. He took several deep breaths and sighed. Considering Roy walways wore his long black jacket but never sweated, it was obvious the heat didn't bother him. He looked up to Shin and smiled, "Your from the Cloud country right? Not that much heat up there right confused Well not dry heat a least. That' why your not use to it here. As you can see, I'm perfectly fine. Heheh." Roy again applied the jutsu.
