I'm just curious: does anyone think Daichi's ideas to protect Konoha are good? Read the discussion between Mifune and Daichi and let me know.
I think it's a pretty in-depth strategy since it deals with more than just reinforced gates. It encompasses reinforcing the gates, protecting the village with a big seal barrier that leaves everything but the gate blocked by an invisible barrier (there's a seal like that on Hinote's list if I recall correctly), and booby-trapping the surrounding landscape to slow, injure, or kill invaders and spies. Covering that many facets of defense seems complicated enough to be restricted to the tactical ninja specialty, but I'd like your feedback.

As for the debate between the two of you to me it seems like you (Daichi) spelled out a basic defense for a normal army to army battle using what ever tactical skill he has, were as Azeil used, what is in my opinion, a sudo intellectual retort that shows his character knows little about wide scale wars. (No idea how much HE knows about wide scale battles.)
Although both have points from a purely tactical stand point Daichi would be correct, but in all honest the Gates to a hidden ninja village only serve as a looming 'Were big and bad' symbol than any real Tactical advantage. Sure setting up traps would help in some situations, but a trap master nin could turn them all around and utterly destroy the gates, so it is some what a double edged sword.
