"It sounded good." Milo complimented, leaning down to pick up the fallen lollipops and shove them back into his jacket pocket, "Want one?" he offered with a smile, the lollipop stick swaying as he tried to speak clearly with it. He neared the boy to look at the piano, it didn't take long to connect the song Aki had been playing with the mood, "You've got lyrics?" he asked, focusing his eyes down to the boy from behind his lenses.

"I'm not much of planner... I just let things happen and see how they go." he admitted with a small smile, finally removing his lollipop to speak clearly, "Though, words would help the context. Makes no sense mixing some hateful words with a sweet tune-" he paused, becoming distracted by the idea,"Or would it..." he murmured, tipping his head at the thought. ☼

"I haven't." he admitted, he'd heard about them but... Milo wasn't the type to be still for too long and he'd rather go out and be where other people were instead of home alone. He hated being alone. Milo nodded, guessing it wasn't a comfortable subjet with the boy, being that he turned his gaze to the piano, though the smile had been infectuous and Milo found himself smiling too.

Milo nodded, "I'm fairly good with a few..." he said, being that he had usually tired easily of instruments, his family had him going to a few different instrument lessons with mixed schedules. He never really perfected one instrument but he did well enough to hold himself with them. "You have a beautiful voice though." he smiled, looking away as he complimented the boy, he wasn't the type to be so forward with people.

Milo dropped a camo print back on a chair, pulling out a mess notebook he kept for ideas or anything he had to write down. Then, he picked up a guitar from a rack of guitar waiting and nodding towards Aki, "It's the one I'm best at." he explained, nearing the boy on the piano again and sitting at the edge of the piano bench with his back to the ivory, guitar nested at his lap. Milo glanced at the boy with a small smile before speaking, "How about you sing your lyrics?"

Milo nodded, turning his gaze to the floor as he waited for the boy to begin singing. Milo was the type to be curious, which wasn't exactly comfortable for some people, so he tried to resist asking the boy any questions about the lyrics. Instead, he watched as his mind came alive and brought the whole music class with it. Now, with half closed eyes, Milo could hear both guitar and piano come alive with similar tunes.


A shy smile found his lips as he glanced at the boy beside him, "Try playing this-" he paused and turned slightly to press a few keys into a tune on the piano, "Again." he made the same tune a second time into a more easily flowing sound before straightening up again and setting the guitar on his lap. "Try singing to that in-" he prepared his fingers on the guitar before nodding and counting down out loud, "One... two...three." before begging to pluck the guitar strings in a tune much similar to the piano's but then tuned out to be background strumming.

Milo smiled, pleased at the mix of music with the voice of Aki. He hadn't ever been as interested in music as he'd been in art, so he didn't really ever consider making it.


A blush found his cheeks as Aki complimented him, causing him to shake his head, though he didn't really want to explain how it wasn't talent, just a messed up disorder in his brain. He'd never been good with compliments directed his way, if someone complimented his art, it was good... when it came to complimenting him ,it was awkward. "So... good start?" he asked with a soft chuckle, taking the spotlight off himself and onto the song, "It's a great song." he added.

Milo grinned, Aki's energy was infectious and had lifted Milo's spirit from the haze he was usually in, "oh-" his head tipped slightly as two ears twitched upward from Aki's head, causing the boy to look around. At first, he thought the ears were part of one of his hallucinations, though when he noticed everything in the room had stayed the same and he wasn't in the haze his hallucinations brought, he realized they were really there. "Your ears..." he murmured, pointing upwards at the boy's ears. He figure, Aki had kept them hidden for a reason and would probably want to know they were there so he could hide them again, not that Milo had been bothered by them. They looked soft and made him want to reach out a touch them, 'He probably wouldn't appreciate someone touching his ears...' he reminded himself, though the curiosity of how they felt was still there. "I'm not really good with words, so I might not be of help but... you could always revisit the time you felt that way and bring out more words to express." he offered with a shrug, it was only an idea. It didn't seem like a happy time to revisit, ' I wonder why he felt that way...' he lowered the guitar to lead against the bench, now curious of a second thing about the boy beside him.

Milo nodded when Aki had made sure of what he'd pointed out just minutes before, not aware that Aki had been embarrassed by it. The more he watched the boy, the more it became clear that Aki didn't want anyone to know about the ears. "I won't." he promised, eyes slightly widening, he felt guilty for putting the other boy in such an uncomfortable situation, after all, Milo knew exactly how it felt to want to keep a part of yourself hidden. 'Maybe his ears are like my...' his thoughts paused, even thinking of his illness was uncomfortable, 'Disorder.' he sighed. "I didn't mean it to bother you... We've all got things we'd rather keep hidden to ourselves, it's normal." his gaze turned away to look elsewhere as he spoke, he was far to shy to speak that way directly at someone.



"They are nice, though... your ears. They're really pretty." he finally brought himself to look at the boy beside him with a kind smile, "It's special. " he added. Maybe to some people special wasn't good, but to Milo, who loved finding new and different things to paint, the ears were beautiful. "and... having them can't really change who you are, right? Since it's just physical." he added encouragingly.

"What do you mean?" he asked curiously. Milo had been aware the the school had people of different races, though, he hadn't really met anyone from the rare races. He had been half-witch and had only met the usual, like vampires, werewolves, and other witches.


Watching the boy's cheeks go pink from his compliment, Milo corrected his glasses awkwardly, feeling a warm rush of blood that made his fingertips tingle from his quickened heartbeat. Being that Milo didn't really know about Kitsunes, he didn't understand how being a boy made Aki feel weird. Though he guessed it wasn't a conversation Aki wanted to draw out any further, "Just don't worry about it. Things always fall into place, maybe that's part of it." he assured, trying to lighten the mood slightly. Whenever things went wrong, specially with his disorder, Milo just tended to repeat those words to himself until it calmed him.

Milo rose from the bench, picking the guitar up and setting it back in it's original place before walking nearer to the piano, "How about we keep doing the song when you get more lyrics done?" he offered, cracking his knuckles before lowering his gaze to the Ivory. "If you don't want to talk about it, I won't push you to... just don't worry too much about it, Kay?" he asked, resuming his seat where he'd been before on the bench, "Plus, normal is boring."
