Thistle squeaked and then held her breath. She dove into the water as deep as she could and then rolled around a few times before come back up and taking a deep breath of air. She kept her eyes closed so that no extra soap might get into them.
She was eagerly awaiting the fluffy towel now and the robe that would come after it! Maybe Kits would even brush her hair!

All right, Thistle. *lifts her out of the tub, wrapping a towel around her, then reaches in to pull the plug*
*burrows deeply into the towel*

Thistle squeaked happily as the towel was wrapped around her. Being as careful as she could not to move the towel off of her, Thistle burrowed down into Kits' lap and closed her eyes. She wrapped her tail around herself under the towel and nuzzled her face into Kits' hand, the one that wasn't pulling the plug out of the tub.

You're gonna get me all wet, Thistle. *starts rubbing her down*
*after a while, pulls the towel up* Looks like you're as dry as you're going to get with the towel. *reaches for a brush* Your fur's all sticking up.

Thistle squeaked happily when she saw the brush and almost pranced around in a circle. Her tail was twitching like mad and she tried to nuzzle Kits' hand, the one that was holding the brush even though that would make it hard for her to brush Thistle. She was just so excited!

*laughs* You're as bad as Gin, Thistle. *manages to brush Thistle out* Ready to head back to Amy? *picks up the towel with Smok, who fell asleep, in it*

Amy had thanked Kits for giving Thistle a bath and had taken Thistle from Kits so that she only had to carry one towel-encased animal. She was quite surprised to see that Thistle had turned pink again.
Thistle was already sleeping soundly, so Amy walked back home with Kits. Jessi put the snacks away in one of the fridges.
The next day, Amy came back to AS and walked around with Thistle, waiting for either security guard applicants to come in or to answer any questions patrons might have about the new winter resort.
