I'm always Logical. There's a reason why one of my Trekkie friends calls me a Vulcan. ninja
Well, actually he said it's because I show no emotion, sure, I have them, but I don't act on them or show them in any way.
But I prefer the Logic angle.

I like it. But it was never the big fandom or influence on me that Robotech and Star Wars were.

I wish I had more of the DVDs. I only have the first half of The Next Generation saga.
I like Rand and Rook, but I do miss the Macross Saga.

My major Mecha influences in chronological order would probably be...
Robotech Exosquad BattleTech (The cartoon, yeah, I saw one) BattleTech (The RP system) G Gundam Gundam: War in the Pocket Mobile Suit 008th Team

ah, my only experience with the battletech universe is the Mechwarrior games on PC. Gundam is a huge factor in my influences, I love the mass produced suits almost more than the actual gundams

Those are nice.
But I love the Zaku. Ever since "War in the Pocket"
In there, a rookie pilot manages to take down a Super Tech top secret Gundam Prototype that's fully loaded... with a damaged Zaku whose only weapon was the Heat Axe. At least, the one one that was working.

I liked War in the Pocket, and 008th MS Team because there thigns seemed more, exciting, to me.
I mean, original series (And most of the other ones other than G and Wing) was basically....
Zeon Federation has millions of mobile suits. And has all the technology for them. The Earth government has never developed or researched them.
Then the war happens, and those floating barges the earth command calls a "Battlefleet" gets ripped apart by Zakus.
So somehow in 6 months they go from Absolutely Zero mobile suit technology, to having a functioning series of prototypes.
And somehow that those prototypes are so much more powerful than the Federation's mecha that 3 of them, with inexperienced pilots, can beat back waves and waves of highly skilled Federation pilots. And eventually turn the tide of the war all on their own.
War in the Pocket and 008th MS Team showed a different side, where the forces were more or less evenly matched, that Gundams weren't all powerful compared to the zakus, etc.

Never seen Seed. Though I've been told I should pick it up.
