This may not be the best time but... If you are a stealth type ninja it says that its hard for ninja jounin and under to even track you. But does thismean you are impossibly hard to FIND as well?

But does thismean you are impossibly hard to FIND as well? Actually, it says:"(Ninja of Jounin and lower won't notice these ninja until they attack) "...so in essence, Yeah... it's impossibly hard for them to FIND you when you are hiding.

Cobra_X Yeah... that's the whole point. I don't see the problem here. I honestly preffer to fight on equal terms, Aka I only like gaining bonuses for the random factors in a fight, rather than what I myself can do above an opponent. So for me, fighting someone when they can't walk is kinda not enjoyable. confused Cobra_X NINJA MAGIC. You cannot be using LOGIC for all things. Use common sense. Ice Capped Mountains are large... Hailstorms can rage across miles. If you are walking and you are caught in a Hailstorm... BAM, you get +2 to your Jutsu. it should be fairly obvious to you what constitutes as LARGE for the purposes of gaining the added benefit, especially since we've spelled it out for you. confused Isn't Common sense and logic kinda... the same? But other than that, I guess I didn't specify, I'm looking for the Range of what would give me said bonus. The Minimal to the Maximum. As far as I can tell, you guys are only giving maximums on it. confused Cobra_X You cannot use GLACIER creation to gain a benefit. Does that answer your question?
...and as Hinote said, you'd have to freeze a lake. Lakes are at least a mile long and wide. Wait, Did I spell Glacier wrong or something? confused Yeah, that fairly well answers that question ^.^ confused But Like I said, I CAN'T freeze an entire lake until Jounin rank at the least. Cobra_X I'm starting to question how you got approved for Hyouton...
The water for the jutsu DOES NOT have to come from puddles on the ground. they certainly can... and indeed, it's probably easier this way, but its not necessary. Water exists in the form of water Vapor all around you in the air... Hyouton users can use that and their unique ability to combine it with freezing cold air to create their ice structures from seemingly nothing. it is simply easier, and probably a slightly faster to do so from preexisting puddles of water.
(As a Suiton user as well, you would be able to create water as well... so it's even less relevant whether or not there is an active water source near you.) I know it doesn't, But I'm asking if I would get a bonus or something for being close to an easily available source of something that I wouldn't have to create. { Aka, The ocean could maybe give me a bonus, and Maybe, just Maybe I'd actually be able to freeze a lake fairly easily if I got a little bit of a bonus for being near it. I mean don't you get bonuses for doing something in a shorter amount of time? }

Thinking about it again, there is one far better example for Doton than a mountain. And that is, a cave. If you really wanted to use just a single jutsu to give yourself the bonus, it would have to be a large glacier, and you would have to FREEZE YOURSELF INSIDE IT. That is the only way you're getting the bonus with that one jutsu. And it'd be kind of pointless, thanks to two things. When you are frozen, you can't move. Hypothermia. A better list of examples. Katon - Volcano Fuuton - Windstorm Raiton - Lightning storm Doton - Cave Suiton - Underwater Notice all of these have you completely surrounded by the element? A volcano is obvious. You're surrounded by heat and flame. And lava. A windstorm completely envelops you, and often times, will pick you up and throw you around. That's a lot of wind. A lightning storm, well, a large lightning storm, has lightning blasting everywhere, constantly. The only thing better for getting lightning than that would be to carry a Tesla coil around on your back. When you're inside a cave, you are completely surrounded by earth. Assuming it's a dirt cave. The same could be said of an ice cave. And underwater is more obvious all on it's own than I could ever describe. ~ Golden Spider of Kumo But other than that, I guess I didn't specify, I'm looking for the Range of what would give me said bonus. The Minimal to the Maximum. As far as I can tell, you guys are only giving maximums on it. Actually, we've been giving you the minimums. Golden Spider of Kumo But Like I said, I CAN'T freeze an entire lake until Jounin rank at the least. And here we see the biggest problem with people today. They want all the best things, from the start, with no work to earn it. None of these abilities will be readily available to ANYONE before they get some ranking done. You can get them from being in the right place, yes, but do you really expect an academy student to be able to create his own advantageous battlefield that easily? No.

You're not getting any bonus to your ice for being near water. Or to water for being near ice. And for that matter, you're not getting any bonus to water for being near water, because you took ICE as your elemental bonus.

Golden Spider of Kumo But Like I said, I CAN'T freeze an entire lake until Jounin rank at the least. Tough? ... you'll just have to wait then... or come across a pre-frozen lake.Golden Spider of Kumo I know it doesn't, But I'm asking if I would get a bonus or something for being close to an easily available source of something that I wouldn't have to create. { Aka, The ocean could maybe give me a bonus, and Maybe, just Maybe I'd actually be able to freeze a lake fairly easily if I got a little bit of a bonus for being near it. Perhaps you could make a case for it to be faster... but not by much.

Cobra_X Omnipotent -
1. Almighty or infinite in power, as God.
2. Having very great or unlimited authority or power.
...neither of these definitions can be used to describe a large chunk of ice in all directions.
Try a different word. I like LARGE. Because ya know, it's a LARGE area of ice. Plus, we've already given you the parameters required. Sooo, Being ontop of an Ocean doesn't Make the Ocean more powerful than everything else, drowning out most other possible bonuses, making it in essence " Having very great or unlimited authority or power" Over the other elements? Being in a volcano doesn't make water almost instantly evaporate, causes earth to melt on contact, causes wind to become blazing and float upwards almost instantly as it heats up, Causes Lightning to... Well I don't exactly know how it would affect lightning, Besides maybe it wouldn't have anything to ground too, and there fore couldn't charge anyone... But you see what I'm saying, In most of the examples asaide from a few, they are Omnipotent... You know what, scratch that, In those two examples you gave me, they are omnipotent.

All I see is you failing to understand the definition and implications of the word 'Omnipotent'.
...I can guarantee you, as both your Elder IRL and on Gaia that you CANNOT use the word Omnipotent to describe ANYTHING except for an intelligent being, such as GOD, or a really powerful, Demi-goddish (and slightly deluded) human.
Trying to tack the word on to describe a landscape.. or the advantage of one element over another in a landscape is ludicrous and makes no sense.

Perhaps I can redirect you to the word "Overpowering". And, that's kind of the point of having the elemental type. If you didn't want an advantage from it, why the HELL are you WASTING OUR TIME asking? Seriously.
If you dislike your type that much, just scratch it off your profile, all bonuses included, and don't use it. Nobody is forcing you to keep it. You just can't go grab a new one instead.

Alright you guys, this post will end this stupid debate.
With the possible exception of Raiton and Katon, you cannot create the element you are using for elemental control. Why, you ask? ELEMENTAL CONTROL IS POSSIBLY THE MOST POWERFUL SHINOBI TYPE IN THE GUILD. There are specific areas in the ninja world where certain elements are abundant, those are the areas where the +2 bonus takes effect. You really think were going to allow anyone to have +2 to their jutsu ranks with no extra chakra cost all the time, just cause they use a jutsu to make more of that element? Hell no, thats why we switched ability control from +2 to +1. You already get +1 for your jutsus all the time. We had almost considered taking out the +2 near an element part, but decided to keep it, because IT WILL NOT BE USED THAT OFTEN.
Fact of the matter is, your not going to be the most powerful shinobi ever right off the bat, and I'm sick of everyone (not just you kumo, everyone) trying to be. Instead of complaining that "my bloodline is too hard to unlock" or "these powers dont let me do this" try using what you DO have to the best of your ability. Just look at Yamatano. I have what is possibly the weakest bloodline in the guild, and I can still make Yamatano kick-@$$.
And on freezing water automatically.......thats available at Hyoton stage 2, and that takes more than being Jounin to achieve.
@Kay: After cloverfield.

Ok, Let's just start off fresh, and I'm going to ask what i was wanting answered...
What is the Range of Hyouton for the bonus?
We've established this so far... Hail storm Blizzard Snow Capped Mountain top Frozen Lake
So Far I see a range of a Hail storm to a snow capped mountain.
Are there any other situations that I could get the bonus from?

Golden Spider of Kumo If those are minemum, Then what is Maximum? { I am really interested in hearing the maximum of gaining the bonus for Suiton if an Ocean, the LARGEST bodies of water in the known universe, is a minemum. Noah's. Flood.Golden Spider of Kumo I know that at Genin there is little to no chance that I will be able to get the bonus through me creating it. I know that. What I am saying is that even at chuunin { Which a crap load of Chuunin are shown to have awesome abilities, Shiki Vs. Hidan for example, They have been shown to be able to combat Jounin, or even Sannin ranked opponents. Not to mention, The Filler episodes. Those were Genin beating the s**t out of Jounin ranked ninja. Just think of them as CHUNNIN. } #1. Those are all main characters. Nobody in this guild is a main character. #2. Normal chuunin are shown to be the practically useless in a real battle cannon fodder of the ninja world. Why do you think all they ever do is carry documents and guard gates? ~ Kumo, refer to where we said you have to be surrounded by the element. That's where you get the bonus from. That's it.
