Well some buildings here a designed to absorb the earthquakes energy without it falling apart.
Lol, I just remembered the old war safety videos that had you duck under your desk if there was a bomb being dropped rofl

man I still remember where I was when that large Contra Loma earthquake hit SF, man, that and thank goodness, was the only major earthquake i have felt and lived thru

I lived in Hawaii at the time (I think) and I was lucky that we never had a Tsunami head towards the islands

I lived through hurricanes, had an earthquake hit, and a tornado almost hit where I lived. Its been fun.

I have had the tail end of hurricaines, and I felt the ground 'hum' that one time....
WHAT!? Canada is a safe place to live!
Well, where I've been anyway.
We get lots of snow though....usually, this past winter sucked.

UNFORTUNATE!
How do you tolerate winters!? Does it just get colder? That's lame! There are fun activities to be had in snow!

Yeah, it only get cold down here. at night I dont think it gets below freezing. Only thing we get is the dew freezes making the grass all crunchy

I like the east coast winters....though it sucks living thru them, I liked them at the time, but it doesn't beat california winters.....minus the snow

My gosh, it would be soo horrible if it snowed here...because the people here can't drive in the rain at all. Some how they don't get the concept that if it rains, it takes longer to slow down so you should drive at lower speeds. It also does not help that they oil the roads, which just makes it even worse. xp
