Kasai smiles at Fauve, we slept through the whole night and I think from the way the sun looks most the morning. Kasai stretchs a little and his mask turns into a wince, damn but my side hurts and I am a bit hungry...want to go find some food at home?
Cin laughs as she hears Merci` talking, then wetting her mouth a bit she says, "I agree it tastes like a rum covered rat died in my mouth." Cin looks along the fireplace, "so where did you put my equipment last night?" Cin stretched slighty, she really wanted to get a shower.

Rhiannon Everwind (( I'm assuming there's more than one mug at the table. sweatdrop )) Kenshi nodded absently as Zahar talked of the tea. He was actually about to take her up on her suggestion of taking his tea elsewhere (it didn't really seem like she wanted company, or perhaps that was just his excuse to get away from the people he came in contact with) when she commented nonchalantly about no one wanting to be around her. He paused a moment, looking at her with his bright eyes before sliding onto a seat across from her at the table. He carefully poured tea into a mug for himself and added a touch of honey, but he didn't take a sip right away. Instead he continued to study her as he slowly stirred the honey into his tea.
Forgive me if I am out of line, but why do you say no one likes to have you around? He folded his hands and placed them in his lap; his black wings relaxing slightly. I do not know you, and yet you seem to think that I should not like you. Why is that?((your assumption was right.)) Zahar looked up at Kenshi her eyes smiling a bit. 'Oh just past life hauntings, seeming cold, distant maybe.' She shrugged a little. 'Maybe it's the fact my sister would like to kill me and my ex-fiancee does not remember me, but then again he tried to cheat on me so why should I care. The real reason most should hate me though is these masks, that is a story for another time though.' Zahar half laughed, it sounded almost distant. She sighed and took a couple large sips of her tea. 'But enough about me, I do not believe I have seen you around here before Kenshi. Who is your companion?'

Kenshi watched Zahar as she spoke, his brows lightly knitting together behind his masque. None of it made all that much sense to him and already a dozen questions were forming in his mind when he paused in mid-reach for his mug of tea, hearing the statement about the masques. His fingers slowly curled around the mug, but he didn't pick it up right away, instead he merely studied her a moment longer with his crisp gaze. Did she have something to do with the masques he and everyone else had been forced to wear? It didn't seem likely, she seemed very kind, but then he knew that looks could be deceiving.
My companion? He said absently, finally picking up his tea and taking a small sip. He set the mug down and shook his head lightly, once, to clear away the confusing thoughts and focus on the question she had asked. Oh, my companion is Rhiannon Everwind. She is a demon, and I doubt that you have seen her yet. She does not like being around people, even me. If it is alright with you I would prefer we not talk about her.
He paused a moment to pick up the mug and take another sip, his eyes lowering to stare at the table in front of him. His voice wasn't necessarily sad, or harsh for that matter, but there did seem to be a note of both in it. He looked back up to Zahar after a moment and the outer corners of his eyes crinkled as he gave her a small smile. What of your companion?

Ice Queen No. But Silva is. Just be grateful he's not here. Io replied, smirking slightly as she looked over the various rade sleeping in the clearning. Baron's not here.... he's probably in his caves. But...She pointed to the largest of the Rade, noting that his fur gleamed in the moonlight. He was healthy and strong. Perfect for what she was thinking. He'll be my target.

Io looked, frowning slightly. If you land facing the cats there will be one fifteen feet in front of you. But small and sleeping soundly. If you go in and get out quickly then it might work...

* I can teleport but once. And I would prefer that to be in an emergency. I shall work my way out to there, and when positioned, you can start. With any luck, the distraction will work.* She turned briefly and squeezed Nika's hand, then began to inch her way carefully outward.
The temptation to warn him to flee should this fail had been there, but ignored. He would do as he decided in that circumstance. It was her job to make sure he did not have to make such a choice. Banishing them both from her mind, she made her only focus herself and the destination that she was heading. It would have been so easy to teleport there... But then to risk being stranded in the midst of wild and rioting Rade. Better to do it this way, even if it were more initially risky.
Step one...two... one foot after the other, and her attention straining in all directions. She should have felt terrified. Should have felt the pressure of her position in the midst of a pack of Rade that would rip her to shreds and not blink, but she felt nothing at all.
Some would die this day. But it would never be enough to cover the cost they had exacted from her life.
So she had more than one reason to survive this gambit. Revenge was far less noble, but more driving.

[I've just bought Nika a sword/rapier. Its in his journal... *wonders how to work that into this*]
Lost, as to how he could help at that moment, Nika listened carefully to Io and Shi. It was best to know what was going on, afterall.
When Shiva grasped his hand, he returned the squeaze and reluctantly let her hand go. He glanced at Io, worried for all of three of them. If they made one mistake, everything could go wrong, disastrously wrong.
He wished that he had Sei's ability to shut sound off. Their odds in this would be better if they couldn't be heard. What was going to happen when the rade awoke? Io would blind them and turn them on each other... but that didn't gaurantee anything.
Nervous, he took Gee's dagger out of the pack that was slung over his shoulder. The size of the knife made his stomach clench. It was tiny compared to the enormous cats that slept in front of him.

G_E had been in a panic since she'd woken up. Nika was gone. Her dagger was gone. His pack was gone.
Now, if his pack and her dagger had been where they always had been, she wouldn't have been so worried. If they were where they had always been, she would have assumed that Nika was simply out and wandering around the camp.
But they were gone.
"If he's gone off somewhere... I'll..." she grumbled as she scrambled around underneath her bed. This is where she had put it, wasn't it? The blade her grandfather had given to her. It was the companion to the dagger Nika had taken with him, but the dagger was silver and the sword was golden.
"He had better be alright." G_E sighed as she pulled the sword out from under her bed.

Io waited patiently, watching Shi as she got into place. Then with a nod she mentally whispered, I'm going to start it. Then she turned, focusing on the large cat in the middle, forcing it to its feet with a wild, crazed yowl as it charged blindly into its pack.
The cats woke up quickly then, no words, just loud growls and the sounds of teeth snapping, trying to get the large cat away from them. It didn't work.
Then she made them blind. They started to roar, attacking each other blindly, sure it was the wild Rade's fault they couldn't see.

Don't close your eyes. Shi reminded herself softly. The yowling and thrashing was horrendous, and much closer than she had thought it to be. She felt very small right now.
Concentrating with apparent calm, she tried to project and enhance as much of the confusion as she could. Like an electic current running through and about her. A web that tangled first one, than another.

Nika watched with wide, horrified eyes as the rade attacked each other. They were huge and the thought of walking through their trashing and snapping to get to the ruins made him feel sick.
He could see Shi from where he was. She appeared calm, but she was much closer to the wild rade then he was, and he could only imagine what it must look like from where she stood.
To make Shi's job a bit easier, he focused on the area surrounding her and willed any physical form that came within fifteen feet of her to slow down. He put as much energy into it as he thought was needed.
Afterall, he wasn't of much use to them if he was exhausted.

santa_kitty seeing no one comming up on him he decided it was time to continue on. he walked to the lake and stripped down leaving his blades one the shore and walked into he lake. he winced as the water flowed over his wounds. he scrubbed himself with soft sand wincing as he did that, but it was a good way to get clean. after a few minutes he came back to the shore and took his blades out of thier sheath's. he sighed and looked at them. they were still crusted in blood from the battle with the "rade". he took them into the water and scrubbed them with sand untill they shawn once more. they were adimantite and un scratchable, undullable and extremely sharp. he still marveled at these fine weapons. he then began cleaning his shorts. once this was done he clambered out and wandered off to get fire wood. he took the filint and tineder from his belt pouch and had a fire going in no time. he took another stick he had broought and skewered the meat from the rade and began roasting it over the fire. he began to wrap his wounds noteing how they were already healing a little bit. water had always helped his regenerative capabilities. he bandaged his wounds, save for his head. by the time this was done, the sun had begun to rise. he took the meat and began eating hungrilly. he sat, naked by the fire and stared at the lake as the sun began to rise, his tail swishing back and forth. Aricin stood not far from the lake, watching S.K.'s actions with a wince thinking of the bacteria in the lake, he set down the hard med pack whistling to catch the reptilian man's attention, he turned nodding to Kata. "I think we should leave him now... let him come to terms with joining the settlement on his own..."

Trivii Time waned as Trivii and Saniya idled by the new pond, Trivii couldn't be prouder of the acomplishment, standing behind the girl, she idly slid her fingers through the sea foam locks, pulling back the sides and begining to braid the silken lengths together. "Sani, you've be real quiet for the past little while, do you wanna talk about something? While we have a few minutes that is?" Sani flicked her eyes up at the cat-kin, having genuinly forgotten the pressence of her mother, calmed but the gentle reasuurance of the pond. 'Its not important, I guess I was just taken aback thats all.... should we go check on Miss Cinderfae and Kasai?'Finishing the braid Trivii tugged lightly on the length of sea foam. "Alright sweets, I have to admit to my own curiosity." Taking Sani's hand, she turned the girl back towards the town and and started to walk. ((A Bit of Catch up.... Its easier to do it in smallish bites)) The two went home for the evening enjoying a quiet meal, and bed. Deciding to remain in the house to take care of some much needed work at home, oblivious to the other goings on in the colony propper. Working with the seedlings, and young growth of the next harvest, before it completed the transplant stage to the garden, until the next morning.... ((Think thats up to the minute with everyone else ya?)) Saniya slipped from the house, carrying a basket of colorful stones and a few that sparkled lovingly in the mid morning light, moving to the pond she sank to the ground with a gentle sigh, not bothering to tug her skirt straight as no one was looking. The water child gazed on her masked reflection in the new ponds surface, then began dropping the pretty tumbled stones into the mirror like surface, each splash lightening her heart as the music only she could hear tantalized her senses. Closing her eyes she enjoyed it a moment longer, dropping another stone, then another, imagining fish living in the shadowed depths of the spring, her eyes turned up, simply enjoying the time by herself, with the water...

Not that I think he cares so much... just to be polite though?" Nodding Aricin thought... "Yes, lets tell him that he's welcome to come see us, but we have to find our beds now... or something..." Theres a little color in his cheeks and its obvious he's embarassed about his earlier behavior.... "Give him this in person." He toes the hard med pack.
