Tokeru kept walking, one foot in front of the other. "You never knew about this place, only I knew about it. This was built just before my dissappearance, after the chapterhouse was destroyed. It was made for a very specific purpose. One of which is at the end of this ******** LONG HALLWAY!!"

{[{ Meredith Emily Jackson }]} Eden simply mindlessly followed him while managing not to accidentally tune out what he was saying to her. It was like she had someone else walking for her but she was able to still hear what Tokeru was saying to her despite something else controlling her limbs. "That's probably why I don't remember this place, then. This place is ******** huge, I'm sure there are plenty of 'secret' rooms I would never discover in a thousand years if my life had depended on it. This place was an absolutely ridiculous bitchin' maze! This place is brilliant and yet at the same time it pisses me right off because it's annoying as hell! Awesome!" She sounded like some stoner, rambling on about how awesome a building was of all things. However, she didn't care, she was just glad that her love had a sense of humour again and that he was himself and not some dead version of himself. No one could blame her for being excited or happy. "This is a ******** long hallway! What the hell were you thinking when you built this thing?! ******** s**t!" She was more yelling for fun and out of joy, just glad to spend time with her extremely weary and yet newly rejuvenated Angel.

Tokeru stumbled once, and his strength flagged for a few moments, and he forgot what she had asked for a few steps. Then he remembered.
"It was to stop anyone from getting what I locked up at the other end. This hallway is supposed to be guarded by dozens of guards, rotating in and out."
They finally reached the end of the hallway, and he placed his palm on the door. The wall seemed to soften, but nothing else happened.
"Hmm, I wonder..." he trailed off as he took a step forwards, and stepped through the wall into the black room.

(( Seeing as people seem to be incapable of directly telling one they have an issue with something I'll remove my header and footer. It'd be appreciated, though, if people would complain to me instead of going off to someone else who ends up telling me anyhow ... Sorry if I seem like a whining b***h but I appreciate people who can actually tell me if they have a problem. Anyhow, now that that's over and done with! ))
"Well yeah," she answered him while rolling her eyes at the same time, "I figured that one out on my own. Thanks for believing in my intellectual and problem solving abilities, love. I think even a five-year-old could have figured that one out or maybe I'm just giving five-year-olds too much credit. Meh, oh well." She simply followed alongside of Tokeru as they finally began to draw nearer to the end of the passageway. The place was still blinding with all the lights but she was making due with her extremely UV resistant sunglasses. They were definitely an accessory she did not leave home without. That way she also didn't have to wear make-up to look all girly-like and pretty, which ended up being a real bonus. It saved alot of money and it spared her from having to redo her make-up over a million times before she actually liked it. She then realized that she wasn't exactly focusing and ended up just walking through the wall that Tokeru had gone through. Thank God it was a non-solid wall or she would have smashed right into the thing and probably would have knocked herself backwards onto her already sore hind quarters.

Tokeru fumbled around in the dark for awhile, before tripping over the very object he had come to find, well not so much trip over it, as walk into it and crumple on the stand it was held on.
"Love. I dont mean to bother you or anything, but could you please find me the light?"

Meredith did not fumble around in the dark at all for she could see perfectly and clearly as though the darkness was perfect illumination in Tokeru's eyes. She watched as he fumbled, giggling for a few seconds until he actually called upon her for help. This must have been about the bazillionth time he'd asked her for help today and it was starting to amuse her at how dependent he was upon her at current. At least he was man enough to admit that he needed help and didn't insist upon doing this all alone by himself and ending up getting himself killed. It'd do him no good to get himself killed anyhow since the hunters were really needing him right now and a dead leader really wasn't anything but a dummie body that used to be a leader. She wouldn't allow him to die anyhow, not while she was there to help him out and protect him. Edith let out a false sigh and giggled afterwards as she responded, "Oh it's a bother but I suppose I love you enough to help you out enough to turn a light on so that you can see." She located the lightswitch without a problem at all and flicked it on but before that she shouted, "And God said, let there be light!" The room then completely illuminated, revealing everything that'd been in the dark.

Tokeru sighed in relief as the lights went on.
The entire room was empty, but for the center. There was a pedestal in the center of the room with three objects. One thing that looked like the mask in "Phantom of the Opera" what appeared to be a glove, and something that seemed to be a Kukri.
"Finally, Took us long enough to get here. Stupid plans."

Naturally Eden's curiousity kicked in and she started over toward the items on the pedestal, about to touch them, inspect them and pick them up until Tokeru gently pulled her hand away from the objects. Instead she decided to closely inspect them by crowding the objects with her face and inspecting them up close with her extremely good eyesight. "Okay ..." she asked as she inspected the objects, "what are all of these? You didn't seriously protect these with security like that, did you?" They were odd indeed and the Phantom of the Opera mask was really giving her the creeps since all people that wore masks were insane weirdos that had something to hide. Some insane weirdos were just worse than others but the worst ones were the ones that could fit right into society and pose as your friend while back-stabbing you at the very same time without caring. Oh yeah those were the really scary psycho insane people that no one wanted to deal with but people had to deal with everyday without knowing it. It was a good reason for her being so paranoid amongst other things like the fact that she was a hunter and every race hated her guts for what she did. Paranoia was something that was required of a hunter otherwise they really wouldn't last all that long out in the real world where no truths were covered up unless they were plots against the hunters themselves.

Tokeru grinned and he picked up the mask and placed it on his face.
"Now you see me." he said.
"Now you see William."
Where Tokeru used to stand, was William Jackson, the leader of hunters. When he spoke it sounded exactly like William, and he even smelled like him. "Pretty cool huh?"
He took the mask off, and hooked it on his sword belt. He then grabbed the Kukri and did the same, holding it in his hand. "This one, well this one is just fun. It's kind of like, how do we say, and illusionary weapon. It looks like a Kukri, but has no substance. It can cut, but not on a physical level. The reason it was locked in here, was because I didn't want it to fall in the wrong hands. I dont know how it does it, but it manages to cut the soul of a person, giving them the greatest pain and terror they've ever faced. And since it doesn't have physical harm, nothing I've come across can actually block it."
He hooked the Kukri on his belt as well, and drew the glove on his hand.

When Tokeru turned into William before her very eyes, Eden's eyes widened in unexpectancy and she forgot to keep her balance. She ended up buckling at the knees in her surprise and she fell backwards onto her already sore a**. "OUCH! Friggin' sore enough and now I gotta fall backwards onto my a** just to hurt it more. But oh wow! That thing's absolutely shittin'! Where did you get the thing from?! Oh s**t! Can I have one?! That thing would be so much fun and absolutely awesome for playing pranks and avoiding people that I don't like! Come on, you gotta gimme one!" Needless to say, Meredith loved the idea of the mask and she wanted one for herself so that she could put it on and walk around as whomever she pleased. To her it'd be a fun idea for playing April Fools jokes and it'd be much more effective for hunting on top of that.
Meredith merely observed Tokeru from the floor that her a** had brutally smashed against. When he reverted back to his actual form a inaudible sigh of relief swept through her though she was reminded that she did miss William an incredible lot. However, she soon found her love distracting her grief-sticken thoughts with yet another one of his peculiar gadgets that worked in a very strange way. This one was actually a weapon and was probably used to somehow deal someone damage though she was sure there was some sort of twist to the thing. It looked hella cool so she expected the ability would be as well and once Tokeru announced to her what the ability was she considered it for a moment. After her consideration she excitedly chirped, "That's absolutely brilliant! They're like quality tools that God himself forged for us to do good with! Where did you get them?"

Tokeru smiled and looked downwards at the items. "They're all that's left of my father. He invented them before they died, and I found the bank he had placed them in last year. I don't remember much about him, but I know he was brilliant."
He absentmindedly opened and closed his now gloved hand. The vivid blood red and black glove fitting easily on it. "It's almost like he made these for me."

Eden rose up to accompany Tokeru by his side when he looked down at the items with what seemed like a slightly saddened smile. He'd relived all of his memories in one day so she was going to make sure she was there to comfort him if he was in any need of it. She wouldn't allow him to suffer alone at the very least, what sort of fiance would that make her to allow him to suffer alone? That's not what being together was about and she wasn't about to let him think he could wander off and deal with such hardships alone. It wasn't happening as long as he was her fiance, which she hoped would be forever since her Angel was the only one for her. He was perfect in every way and he'd been there for her when others had failed to be there with her or for her. She owed him so much more than she could repay but she would forever be by his side if he decided to allow such a thing.
"I'm sorry," Edith whispered softly as she engulfed his form with her extremely toned arms, "to hear that, love. I'm sure he was brilliant because he sure as hell left behind a brilliant son to keep me out of trouble and to be there for me. If he was anything like you, which I'm sure he was, he would've been the best father-in-law ever." She softly kissed his ear and merely listened to him as he began to flex his gloved hand, watching it closely. "I'm sure he did leave them behind with the intent that his son would find them and put them to good use. He trusted you to do good with them and I know you will as well as he did. God trusts you too, that's why you were granted your abilities because he knows that you of all people can handle them and use them with care." She smiled up to him and softly stroked his cheek before letting him go to exit the room and give him a moment if he needed it.

Tokeru smiled sadly again. "I wasn't trusted with them, he hid them from me, from us. From Draegan. I dont know why he made these things, but he did. He must have known that they would come for me, but why?"
He shook his head and took hold of his love's hand. He could feel her skin through the glove, it felt as if he wasn't wearing it at all.
"We should both go. People are waiting." He held her hand tightly, and adjusted the mask and kukri so they were hidden on him, the glove, he could do nothing for.

Before Edith had gotten a chance to leave her love had grabbed ahold of her hand, not allowing her to exit the room without him. Whatever he wanted was fine with her so long as he didn't go around trying to kill himself and leading them on some wild goose chase all the way around the city. However, he seemed to be doing surprisingly well for having relived all of his memories in one day. What was even more amazing yet was that he seemed to be getting better as they spoke and he was speaking to her normally and not in riddles. It'd been almost a year since he'd talked to her like this and it'd almost been a year since she'd seen him smile like that and actually swear. It was just too good to be true and she was afraid that she was dreaming and that she would wake up from the wonderful fantasy only to find that she'd been childish to think that all of this was true. It was hard to define dreams between reality any longer since she heard other people's voices in her head.
Eden was snapped back to reality when Tokeru began to say that they should both leave the place since there were at least two people waiting for them if more hadn't arrived to fight them or something like that. "Yeah ..." she responded though her response seemed distracted as she stared blankly at the floor, "... we should." Her hand was limp in his for a few moments until his hand squeezed hers and brought her fully back to reality with the suddeness of the gesture. "Oh yeah. We should totally get going. We have a lot we're probably going to have to do if that message on the HIN isn't complete and total bull crap. I'm willing to believe it if the guy can give names, though and he's a completely new hunter. He's pretty useful for being so new."

Tokeru nodded and began to walk with her back to the elevator. "It remains to be seen if he'll be useful. I doubt he will."
He was quite happy that his love had either: thought what he got was useful, or that she had forgotten being angry about it in the first place.
The longer he wore the glove, the faster his strength seemed to return. He was walking normally, and wasn't feeling weak at all. He thought it might have been the properties of the glove, but knew better. The glove was more of a weapon than the Kukri was, negating and absorbing psychic and other attacks. Also stopping him from using his new powers, as long as he wore it that was.
