"The energy that's around you, that flows through you, it takes on different properties...I can recognize it, know that it's you," he said quietly. "Since this power flows through everything, it's just a matter of following your specific energy to find where you are."
Saber groaned, "What if I said I didn't hate him?"
Arcanon nodded, "I understand. I'm planning on teaching Proteus a few things as well, though I may get Saber to help with him." Arcanon smirked, "Since they're getting along so well..."

She blinked in surprise "Wow... I didn't realize that."
Synne sniffed "Would you mean it?"
Erian grinned "That is just asking for disaster. And you might have to ask mom about him too.. since if he keeps pushing her she's going to cut him off from everything he likes and wants to do."

Azaroth shrugged, "The energy force is what I draw my power from so I'm use to dealing with it..."
"...for a little while..."
Arcanon nodded, "So I've seen. But I really want to get him in some form of training. He has some natural abilities but he never bothers to develop them..."

Ro smiled "Well at least I know how you're always able to find me.. even when I think I'm masking my magic.."
Synne's lip trembled more "Can't you just.... kind of dislike him, for whatever your reason is? Not hate him...he's your brother!"
Erian shrugged "I think both he and Synne got that. She's got amazing magic abilities but she doesn't want to learn or really put the energy into learning it. Drives mom crazy... and Synne's good enough that she can get away with not learning. She can manipulate her own powers to not use the normal spells if she wants to do something she hasn't learned."

Synne blinked "Who?"
Erian wrinkled his nose "Not to me... I had to work hard to learn to levitate without a wand. I have to work hard for every spell I learn.."

Az groaned, "Rowena, you are impossible."
"Nevermind," Saber said quickly getting the feeling that his explanation would make Synne cry.
"That's not a bad thing," Arcanon said quietly. "Working hard teaches you discipline and the true value of your efforts."

She beamed innocently "I try..."
Synne frowned "I'm confused..."
Erian nodded "I guess so... I just wish I could get magic as quickly as Synne..." He stirred the tea and felt the sides. We should put it in the fridge to chill it completely.."

"To drive me crazy?" he gave her a look.
"How about I say I'll try to get along with him for a little while at least?" Saber offered. "What would you think of that?"
"Here let me get that," Arcanon said picking up the pitcher. "And Synne will have to work eventually - she can't just know all the spells that there are..."

She smiled "Maybe... but its not like I'm going on a date with some random guy anyway.."
Synne pouted "why are you so determined to hate him? I know its not realistic to ask you to be friends... but... hate? Thats horrible Saber..." Her lip trembled again "Are you going to hate me, Erian, and Proteus too?"
Erian sighed "Maybe... or she'll just be satisfied with what she knows..."

"What!" Saber gave her a look. "No! Well, maybe Proteus, he's a little annoying..." Saber sent a smirk in the baby's direction.

"Then that'll be her loss," Arcanon shrugged. "Because there's always more to learn."

Erian sighed and glanced over at Synne sobbing "She's never been a big reader... maybe that will change when she's older? Right now shes throwing a fit it looks like..."
