Seph laughed and gave Itaka a wink "Well naturally you would like an event like that but maybe I just didn't want to bring up the lovely details involved in the festival of the dead where some demons sacrifice the souls of other people... usually humans or elves to the gods in the belief someone they know will do better in the afterlie. Yeah it's kind of a good thing not all demons celebrate the same events universally."

Hayate nodded easily able to picture the scene "Oh yes, the first in line is always well protected though they weren't too bad with Elithana. They gave her some freedom or rather she never really noticed all the guards watching from afar while growing up. But I can picture him being spoilt rotten and being more than comfortable bossing me around like crazy and most the palace at that"
Nares snickered "oh he can try that one with me but he won't get very far. My boss is technically Dysocu and he definately wouldn't be afraid to boop the kid on the nose for power abuse if he needed to. Besides hopefully he won't be like Felina here growing up who used to try demanding that my grandfather brought her home a Unicorn to play with. You were a right little madam when it came to unicorns if I remember correctly"
Felina paused blushing slightly "Well can you blame me? Unicorns are very beautiful creatures both in stories and in reality. I've been lucky enough to see one up close while travelling. Besides every girl goes through a unicorn phase" she laughed seeing Corella almost glare at her with jealousy at the mention of seeing a unicorn.

Oassu snickered stroking Felina's face "Hey it's not so bad though I'm sure you wouldn't want to own a unicorn now you know how rare and independent they are" he said spotting tracks on the ground where the lupines had been led away from this spot "Soon we can tick off Centaurs from our book of rare creatures to see" he said.
Itaka frowned "I imagine those kind of demons don't get permission to live in this world" he said thinking it was a rather obvious condition to put on it "Well sure that's a bit of a downer after you told me about the nice ones" he said finishing his plate of food before giving Seph a kiss "Still thanks for breakfast, must say this softer side of you is quite nice" he chuckled.

Seph smiled liking her lips before she helped herself to the rest of the toast "Some of them slipped under the radar naturally. Some are good liars or just came ilegally. Just dont do celebrating anything with any demons that involve suspicious looking runes and you'll be fine" she assured him putting her plate to one side midway through. "Well I can't be a hardass all day everyday now can I. Even those of a demonic nature like mine need to let their guard fully down eventually" she winked at him.

Felina nodded happily "yeah maybe one day we'll be able to make a list that rivals that of Nares's list. And maybe we can find some more friendly ones too so we can talk to them and maybe see their unusual friends too. I mean Yenytai is adorable and Milly was quite generous to us" she answered with a small snicker at the thought Alpha might be there now trying to make the fiend give off more diamonds as a festival gift "Though umm... what are you doing Nares?" she asked confused as to why they stopped
Nares paused and put her finger to their mouth telling them to be quiet a moment while she stepped over the prints and into the bushes behind. "We need to steer a little more northwest. those lupines will be long gone at least. You never know your clones might reach our destination before us"
"You know if you wanna see a bunch of rare creatures you could probably just ask dad with me to summon one. I mean I heard he could summon a unicorn but doesnt really summon unless its absolutely necessary. But we could work together in convincing him to summon more often" Corella planned out.

Oassu smiled slightly "Well that would be a bit abusive of your dad's powers besides it's not just about seeing the creatures, half the fun is in trekking around like this looking for the creatures and taking in the sights of the world" he explained to Corella before peeking over Nares' shoulder "Well not anymore, I had them keeping a perimeter and the one in the lead took off to distract the lupines so it's up to you now to lead us there safely" he said
Itaka smirked "I guess so and I just love slipping under your guard" he chuckled tickling Seph slightly "And thanks for the warning I'll bear that in mind" he said finishing his orange juice and food before putting his plate to one side "So would you like to relax a little more or should we start our day" he said idly stroking Seph's wings.

Seph giggled slightly rolling back down on the bed "Well Itaka, as much as I think it would be good to have a nice day just relaxing. The chocobos do need our full attention eventually and we do have things to do today other than rest. So why don't you go get yourself a good shower so we can be on our way" she suggested pulling Itaka towards him so to give him a kiss.

Nares nodded her head in agreement "Yes its better to see rare creatures in their natural environment to see how best to look after them anyway. i tamed a unicorn once but I let her go because she clearly wasn't adapting to the change in climate. Gotta be careful who you summon and where i would imagine... also its this way" she added redirecting them.
Felina scratched her head "Well I guess so but Bahamut doesn't seem to mind too much being summoned over the dragon festival and I'm sure its a lot colder here than the temperatures that he is used to over here so... I dunno."
"Or maybe Bahamut secretly loves the attention he gets from us when he is summoned not that he hangs around long" Corella suggested with a small laugh. "Even big summons like him have a personality. Carbuncle is a right cheeky little thing but surprisingly affectionate"

Oassu nodded "Well I know next to nothing about summons, can't think why one of those great beings would take time out to swing by our world at all really so who knows why it happens?" he said with a shrug "Especially for one as important as Bahumut really" he added
Itaka sighed reluctantly sitting up in bed "Alright alright I'll go get ready but you are going to need one too" he said stroking Seph one last time before getting out of bed and heading out of the shower.
Elsewhere a perky refreshed and dressed Zadina popped out of his bedroom bouncing towards the main room on the airship wearing" his shiny new goggles with his mage hat "Is everyone ready to go Cap'n?" he asked looking up eagerly at the demon "Hmm Mr Jeckhart appears to have wandered off somewhere" he said noting his absence.

Seph snickered hearing Itaka sigh "Oh don't worry I'll have a good clean before we head off. Though don't give me that look. It's not every day we can kick back and go riding together for a holiday" she smiled also getting up after him.
Hebal nodded putting her hand under Amane's head to keep it straight making her hair easier to brush "Heya Zadina, yesh Jeckhart wandered off again. Maybe he needed some fresh air or something or finds the airship a little scary" she suggested starting to make plaits.
Amane smiled and waved at Zadina trying not to move her head too much "Hey again Zadina, your looking good with your new stuff on and I hope I do too. This dress is lovely and soft" she greeted him flinching slightly as Hebal pulled a little too hard to get a knot out. I'm just about ready I think to go. Once I put my shoes on again" she told him choosing not to tell him about Merric running off with her shoes while she washed her feet earlier.

Nares rubbed her chin a moment in thought "well the way I see it. Bahamut is still the king of dragons and with a position like that, well you have to make public appearences and represent your people. I mean look at Elorin, he hates public speeches and through choice would be more than happy never having to make one"
Corella snickered and nodded "Yeah dad always goes quiet for an hour or two when one of those kind of things come up. Though I don't see what the bother is because I would like being able to talk to lots of people and don't really get stage fright. Guess I get that from mother"
Felina sneezed "Well maybe so Im just happy that we have bahamut there for when we are in a crisis. Summons have their uses and Im not going to question it" she shrugged petting the restless Cid. "I must admit I thought the forest would be a bit more lively even in winter unless the centuars scared everyone away"

Gil sighed stepping out dressed and refreshed stopping to pat Enkidu as he rushed up to meet him "Yes yes boy i missed you too" he chuckled looking around "Hey Nadira are we ready to go?" he called out to the flat
Oassu smirked "I think the Gria would be much happier to see Bahumut though, makes me wonder what would happen if two summoners tried to call the same one at once." he said going over to take Cid from Felina to see if he could calm him down "Well I imagine if the Centaur have set up a camp in this place then they probably keep the fiends away from their place" he suggested to Felina.
Zadina giggled "I see your mother is making your hair all pretty" he said examining the braids before frowning at Amane's toes wiggling "Have you misplaced your shoes? Aren't they really important for Viera because you can't walk upright without them?" he asked.

Hebal raised her eyebrow looking down at Amane's feet "Good question what did happen to your shoes because you'll not be able to get around very far without them" she frowned not having realised until now. "Should have said something silly good thing i always have spares and your right Zadina, gotta make that hair look pretty"
Amane blushed slightly embarrassed "Well umm... you see I took them off to wash my feet and toenails properly and Merric dragged them away somewhere around the airship though they weren't particularly shiny I don't think.
Alpha snickered springing up from the couch "Well then I think we ought to find Merric. I think he might stull be in my room, hopefully still interested in the window rather than my stash of treasure" he quietly added.

Satoshi tutted and shook her head "Not so fast, need to either put on or take with you your dragon costume silly. Not just that but you need to check out your last little present. You've had most of them but i figured you might like this" she smiled presenting him with a box, unknown to him to be containing a fancy scarf.
Nares nodded "yeah most likely. Centuars are very good hunters despite their noisy hooves and the fiends here are smart enough to stay away from them if they can. Or it could just be that they saw me coming for a change" she added with a small snicker watching Private Nal happily back flip over a tree branch"
Hayate smiled "Oh yes the gria love things like Bahamut but then again the odds of a gria summoner... only one every few hundred years so they don't see things like that often. As for if two try to summon at the same time its complicated. To do with priorities, what they are in the middle of doing and how much they like the summoner all contribute from what I got from Elorin"
"Well I guess that makes sense. Though I wonder if the presence of the Centuars is whats making Cid more on edge too. He's got super henses and is a magical creature himself so maybe...." she pondered almost staring at Cid. "its a shame you cant talk little guy"

Gil nodded "Well sure lets get it on then" he said looking over at the dragon costume and scratching the back of his head "That thing's big will we even get it out the door and outside easy enough?" he sighed knowing the stairwell was rather tight before smiling as Satoshi presented him with the small box "Ah you shouldn't have, you've given me a lot already" he said taking the box and opening it before pulling out the scarf to examine it closer.
Oassu nodded "Sure but surely the government might hire a skilled summoner to summon Bahumut, I mean, no offence but I imagine the Gria would appreciate an appearance by the god of dragons far more than Elves do" he said placing Cid on his head gently
Zadina giggled "I'm sure he'd love to play with your treasure Cap'n Alpha but it's not like him to take something that's not shiny," he said worried he'd have to train the cute trait out of him "Still lets go find him and get Amane's shoes back" he said.
