Shadow smiled at Aurora, "Yes, I supose I am gettign a little bit soft in my old age... and yes, I have a little soft spot for Maxine." Shadow said, feelign the little taunt from Aurora.

Well, she had turned from sad to happy. Carlos decided his work was done and figured it would be best to rush away now before bathtime approaches. Standing himself up, he begun to casually walk back to where he came from

Shadow hugged Aurora back. "I know I have had but they have all disapeared now. Cassidy and Felicity... they both have disapeared." Shadow said followed by a slight sigh.

Unable to blatantly ignore the negative emotions coming around again, Carlos couldn't help but look back. It was clear to any eye the pair had a strong relationship with each-other, and it wouldn't be right to intrude on it, even if he had good intentions. Rather than bother them, Carlos stretched himself, and begun to run back to where he started so he could transform back and properly introduce himself. He had listened in enough to understand there won't be much to worry, or fear, about meeting at least two other residents of the house.

Shadow smiled, "Thank you, princess. It is comforting to know that but the pain is always there. I still feel the hurt left from my first wifes death. It never truely leaves, not even after all this time." Shadow said, still hugging Aurora. "But having people like you and Vickilyn around, makes the pain much more bareable."

"You help ease the pain just by being around. The pain I feel is a pain I have lived with for most of my life." Shadow said as he placed a hand on the location of his necklace as a gentle reminder that it was there. "I'm sure she will show up at some point and I am sure she will love the gift."

Carlos had finished the awkward transformation back to human and had begun to walk on over back to the tree, hoping that by the time he arrived, Aurora and the other had finished. He wished to introduce himself while he still had the courage to try, but wouldn't dare intervene on them if they were busy or talking.

"It is very nice. Especialy after all this time... do you still have that music box I bought you a while back?" Shadow asked as he continued to stoke her hair, curious and wodnering if she kept it with her over her travels, left it here or lost it at some point.
