Alpha nodded "Yeah I got her a nice dress though not made by the tailors of Yithra. Pretty sure this one was made by just plain human hands not that its a bad thing at all. Got some really good tailors in Tricasia I would recommend if we ever go back there" he grinned taking a peek at the cover "I think I know this book. Heh this book has been read to children since my kids were little. Mu especially liked the stories" he recalled.

A cold shiver fell over Oassu hearing that "Well that certainly sounds nasty enough don't think I was the cruel as a kid though it's a dumb kid who pulls needles from a cactuar" he said surprised Hayate wasn't horribly injured as a result of his actions as he waved to Hayate snickering slightly at the tense air that hung between them "Morning Hayate, what's the matter? Afraid of needles?" he joked

Gil beamed with delight upon sighting Satoshi going to greet his girlfriend with a kiss "Pleasure to see you, you look lovely by the way" he said cuddling her "I'm just going to have a quick wash before we head out to the festival, what time does the parade start?" he asked moving past her to tinker with the shower and see how it worked

Zadina emitted a small 'oooh' in surprise "It must be really old then must be a newer edition" he said turning the book over in his hands "But the moogle is really adventurous and he always visits all his little moogle friends so its easy to see why its so popular" he said happily putting on his goggles to see if it improved his vision.

Hayate shook his head getting up and taking a step further back "I don't like cactuars. I just dont like them and they are incredibly devious little creatures when they want to be" he grumbled almost glaring at Nal. "I have my reasons. Anyway happy dragon festival guys and I bet you just used a cactuar to wind me up" he added at Nares

"Well cactuars are useful as are moobas for tracking but yes it is actually quite funny seeing you dealing with cactuars. Gotta entertain myself somehow and your too passive most of the time anyway" Nares teased back in response.

Felina smiled cautiiously stepping over the stream "Happy dragon festival to you too though your present from me is still at the palace so will have to wait, Didn't even realise you were coming along with us until this morning."

Corella bowed to Hayate trying not to laugh at his intent focus on Nal "Im sure he doesn't bite you know. Might get on if you give the little guy a chance" she suggested cautiously reaching out to offer the cactuar a flower she picked earlier.

Satoshi smiled returning the cuddle in the tiny lobby "Thanks though I've not done anything special for I'm going to be in costume anyyway" she replied stepping aside for him to pass "The parade isn't until midday so we have pleanty time to join the back of it and take part"

Alpha held out his hand keeping the firestone in his palm for Zadina to have a look at it "Well this is a firestone. Usually when lava cools down it solidifies but if careful or sometimes through luck only the outside of it solidifies leaving lava inside safely contained if you dont try smashing it. Can be used for instant high heat like in a dwarven forge but it is also very good for fire demons if consumed. Makes your inner flames burn brighter so good if you've faced long term exposure to humidity or water" he explained before adding "Well you never know apparently people are already starting to talk about us as a group so one day you might be famous"

Oassu smirked thinking the Cactuar looked rather silly now with the flower pinned to its head, he had a slight suspicious it may not feel particularly comfortable on his anatomy either. "Well if its basically a cactus in fiend form it doesn't really need much to live on right? I mean it can probably store water for ages and doesn't need any kinda meat or plant life to feed on" he said "No need for hands to pick things up that way" he concluded clapping his hands together aiming to spark the group into action again "Still now we've got Hayate we should keep moving, want to see the centaurs and still have time in the rest of the day to enjoy the festivities" he said.

Zadina retracted his hand from the stone immediately "Sounds dangerous so I don't think I will touch it" he said wary about the thought of a small lava-grenade existing "Dwarves truly do make some scary devices" he muttered quietly "Though people are probably only mentioning us because of the two elven royals and Sir Gilgamesh travelling together, I imagine that would attract a bit of attention as such" he said pondering what clothes he should wear that day.

Felina nodded pulling a reluctant Cid away from the water "Ok ok thats enough for now or you'll need the bathroom later. Guess cactuars are pretty basic fiends though they will need sunlight too i'm guessing like every other plant not that theres much of that going on around here lately so hope it doesn't make him sick" the thought suddenly occured.

"Actually cactuars and all plants need sugar in order to stay healthy. While they can make their own sugars theres no half in giving them a small boost" Hayate added hopping over the water "Centuars shouldn't be too big a deal if you dont annoy the male ones. Terrible tempers on them"

"Private Nal will be fine. In times like this he has a little magic to help create artificial sunlight in times like this. But they can survive long enough in darkness they do have night in the desert still. Though I really wouldn't recommend clapping your hands in a forest full of snow unless you want it to fall on you" Nares advised watching Corella sigh happy to have had at least a small break to rest.

Alpha smiled watching Zadina slip away "Maybe so but to be honest I think he gets lonely. I mean theres all of us sure but we don't all have the same interests as an elf his age so Amane on board is probably doing wonders for him. Plus he has a little chicobo to play with" he guessed keeping an eye on Merric "Well I'm sure Hebal will keep you active but off you go"

Hebal meanwhile glided up past Zadina patting him on the head while she added a greeting into her song "So uhh did my singing put everyone off" she pondered just in time to catch a glimpse of Jeckhart disappearing.

Oassu shrugged not really understanding as the moved on squinting in the morning darkness "Well I didn't know this was a diplomatic mission, I was just out here for the trip whereabout do centaurs normally hang about and do their business?" he asked Nares lithely stepping over a snow-covered log before pausing to help Felina over it and ensuring Corella didn't trip over the darkened log.
