Amane shook her head looking at thte sword "Well Ardie has one but its a nit longer and thicker than that one I'm pretty sure. The one Gil gave her for sure was much bigger" she recalled giggling at Merric. "I think Merric just found his own extra little present with that string.

Hebal grinned already knowing that Alpha had bought Zadina some goggles "Well the string isn't the problem. I think he just used most of his energy taking that off" she snickered seeing Merric fallover after a great big tug to get the string off without untying it or cutting it with his beak

Gil nodded "Well your mother is lucky her missions don't interfere with her career but yeah, guess it makes sense for you ninja to start fostering a career early since you'll have plenty of time to do stuff once you've finished your ninja service" he said sitting down with his plate and tucking in. Pausing to drink he said "You never worry about the fact your folks are still risking their lives every mission?"

Oassu nodded petting the happy bunny in his arms "Well best you don't dungeons aren't great places, should see the wild ones where monsters roam they smell even worse" he said moving back to let Felina down easier "Well where is she at then?" he said stamping his feet in the snow "Does horse riding always leave you feeling so numb on the behind?" he grumbled.

Zadina gasped opening the box excitedly and pulling out a stylish pair of small aviator goggles "Oooh these look cool, but what are they for, do they help me see?" he asked holding the goggles up to his face to see if he could see any better with them while giggling at Merric parading triumphantly with his string as he fixed his hat for him.

Corella smiled waving the guards off as they turned aroud and headed back to the palace "Well the better grip you have on the saddle the easier it is. You get used to it after much practice though I can imagine it takes men a lot more time to get comfortable on a horse even with a good saddle because of having to sit legs apart"

Felina rolled her eyes making a note to tell Corella when Oassu was around that it wasn't a good idea to flirt with the palace security. "Well dear. It would help if we delt with the front gates before we end up meeting Nares. She'll appear when she wants to be seen. Thats just her style.

"Or she can just see you now and save us all a little more hassle of signing papers to allow you into the fort for but a few minutes" came a womans voice from directly above Corella's head. "You're all ten minutes late so I'm guessing at least one of you had a good snooze" Nares remarked dropping down behind them her face covered by her massive green cloak.

Satoshi sighed sitting down opposite Gil "Well of course you worry. You worry about that all day everyday when that happens but... you get used to it after a whole or just get good at putting that feeling to one side. Thats what happens when you have loved ones that constantly go to do missions or war and the like" she shrugged.

Hebal nodded unwrapping one of her presents revealing a bog assortment of bright and colourful sweeties from Seph "Yep yep Zadina's got some really nice presents hasn't he? In fact everyone has got some pretty lovely gifts" she added unwrapping another gift this time from Felina "And this one... I think its gold" she frowned unwrapping a small watch.

Amane waved to Jeckhart while she examined the bright pink food Hebal had unveiled "Yeah definately though that gold watch is really nice and must have cost a fortune. Though maybe she's trying to hint to you to be more punctual" she teased while she tried to make sense of gadgetier mages. "Umm goug has magic? Isn't it more science than technology there"

Oassu nodded "Hey don't worry Corella be grateful your father is even letting you out for this since he was pretty reluctant last night, besides me Felina and Nares have all had our share of adventures" he paused making a couple of clones of himself which leapt up into the trees "Besides we'll have Hayate with us as well, consider it a mini adventure, Felina was doing much more dangerous stuff that you anyway when she was younger" he added teasing Felina with a little nudge.

Gil nodded watching Enkidu wolf down the piece of Sushi "He's a fiend, he'll eat anything," he chuckled "Though raw fish probably isn't a far stretch from his regular diet but yeah I get ya" he said finishing his food "Though I bet with your mother working a lot she turns down plenty of missions for her career" he said tidying up his plate and leaning back "Ah that was a nice breakfast, does your culture celebrate the Dragon Festival with a big fancy meal at some point?" he asked.

Zadina nodded "Yeah moogles are great practitioners of most magics, they don't have some of your unique magic but they cover white black and time magic, so most of the basics" he said happily "But it might just be a really nice watch" he said thinking Hebal wasn't really the sort to wear watches.

Jeckhart waved back kneeling down to fetch his presents for everyone handing a small circular present to Alpha and and the other presents to Hebal and Zadina before kneeling down by Amane and placing a hand on her shoulder "I'm sorry little one, but seeing how recently we both joined I'm afraid I wasn't able to get you anything quite yet, however if we visit Yithra today I promise you I will get you a present before the end of the day" he said apologetically.

Felina nudged Oassu back "Hey you weren't exactly the sit at home perfect school boy yourself when growing up. But Corella, you should try and poke dad more often to let you out more because the forest despite feeling huge when in it, is actually quite small compared to the rest of the outside world and you need to start exploring somewhere" she advised following Nares as she immediatey headed away from the paths to the trees.

Corella shook her head "If only it was that simple. Mother is the one who wouldn't let me explore. She likes to teach me how to apparently be a proper princess unlike you rebels who are a bit of a lost cause going off doing unladylike things" she explained mimicing her mum's voice.

"Thats just your mother not wanting to have to worry about another daughter going off out into the world. My parents still get worries about me and no doubt I will be the same when my son comes to a certain age as well" Nares replied coming to a stop suddenly "Oh, I also forgot. Theres someone I would like you to meet who is also a scout" she remembered removing from the bag underneith her cloak a strange green creature on two legs.

Felina raised her eyebrow looking at the fiend "Hey isn't that a cactuar. You know that Hayate really doesn't get on with those things based on the stories he's told me about them"

Satoshi nodded watching Gil eat his bacon hoping she cooked it well enough "Well not as such but my mum always cooks a big meal for everyone at the dragon festival so you got lucky family wise. But I dont think the village cares too much about mums career when some of those joibs bring back more in an hour than some missions bring back in three days. Shows how shallow some parts of the world can be"

Hebal paused reaching out in front of Merric gently steering him off course away from walking directly into the leg of the couch "Ok last chance to see if theres any presents otherwise quick showers and away we go to celebrate!" she instructed suddenly deciding she wanted to try on Satoshi's present once clean. "Im sure you'll get some presents from people when we start picking em all up again if theres not a full load for everyone yet also"

Alpha snickered and scratched his chin "I see.. then I have to feel sorry for whoever has to dig them up if they aren'te fire demons because it would be incredibly hot just to go near the volcanos that spit out the firestones on occasion. Though I'll bet most the time you just get a fire demon to dive in and try to pick bits out"

Amane nodded catching Merric and placing him down in Zadina's lap with string for safe keeping "Yeah my grandmother got me a really nice scooter for the dragon festival. It's still wrapped up but the shape of it makes it obvious as to what it is. Not sure what Ardie and Melanae have for me though."

Oassu watched Nal run around the group "Well yeah I've only ever seen Mari usee fiends like that though if she can't cuddle it I'm not sure how fond she'd be of it" he said standing up from his examination of Nal "Still we'd best be off, since we were late already" he said stepping outside of Nal's little circle.

Gil chuckled "Well sure its fine, bacon isn't too hard to cook, I have it on the road often enough but hey I'd just be happy my mother wasn't risking her life like I said" he said stretching his arms "Still we need to get ready for the day, so you can go use the shower first if you like I'll clean the dishes here" he said.

Zadina giggled as Merric wiggled his little string about in his lap "Alright Miss Hebal we'll all get ready and then go out Cap'n Alpha has to see his daughter and wish her well I'm sure" he said peering out the window "Would be nice to see Runide again but yeah I bet Ardie and Melanae got you fun things too" he said wondering if he could spy Runide napping on a roof.

Jeckhart nodded "Well that's an option but when we have no volunteers we contract the dwarven kingdoms for them since they use firestones as well, I understand they use special boiler suits and fish out precious jewels and stones from underground lava currents" he said.
