Drealan handed the rather heavy, silent man over gratefully, though he didn't leave him, worry on his wrinkled features. "His... his mother." the neko murmured, sounding suspiciously close to tears as well. "She passed away last night. She'd been sick, which is why the clan summoned him, but... we'd been expecting her to pull through."
Vincent still said nothing, remaining mostly in shock, though his arms did wrap around Ukaia almost reflexively.
"There we go..." Lily continued to stroke him, sniffling. "I'm so sorry... I promise I'll change you back." Vincent was ignored at the moment; she was too concerned about Arlen, and had no doubt that Ukaia would be able to handle the man.

"Come on.. "s he murmmued soflty As she led him to a couch. She sat him down and then sat in his lap and kissed his cheek
"You're home love i'm right here.." she said soflty. Quite glad that Tomo had healed her bruises he didn't need to see those now

"I've been trying to heal her for days..." Drealan sighed, looking weary now that he had someone to turn over the reigns to, so to speak. "I'm going to rest. I'm sorry, Ukaia, but your lessons will have to wait a day or two more." The neko inclined his head to Tomo, then hobbled over to the fire, entering the portal once more, closing it behind him.
"She's... gone." Vincent murmured, voice hoarse, rusty from both tears and disuse. "Gone..." He held Ukaia tightly, then put his face in the crook of her neck and began to sob, entire body shaking.

"Or coruce Teacher, i'm sorry, thank you so much" she said. Uakai bit her lip as Vincent began to sop. She held him tightly and r let him sob.. she kissed his head soflty
"It's oklove.. let it out.. i'm right here" seh said rubbing his back
"I'm sorry i wasn't with you" seh whispered.

Arlen chittered lightly when Lily pet him, finding it to be the equivalent of a purr. Mentally he wished he could actually communicate with her and tell her it was alright.

"I wanted you to be." Vincent choked out, taking deep breaths. "They wouldn't bring you... let me send a note... anything." he sounded rather anguished about it, and made no effort to hide his feelings. "They just plucked me away... and..." he couldn't speak anymore, again overcome by tears.
Lily gave a soft, choked laugh, giving him a light and gentle squeeze. "I should have left... I knew it." she whispered to him, still stroking him, chewing her lower lip as she paused. "I'll have to, once I turn you back."

Arlen paniced again at the mention of Lily leaving and scurried up her chest to wrap himself around her neck, holding gently but firmly and refusing to let go.

Tomo sat down at the bar. Everyone was with their respective loved ones and his was taking care of a sick friend. Even Caradoc seemed to have brought himself to a meditative state. The catboy sighed, ears going limp as he laid his head on the bartop.

"I'm sorry love.. it's ok.. you're right here now: she said hugging him tightly and kissing hischeek then lips soflty
"Is ther somethign special you do for your dead?" she asked him
"We coudl do it here. a memoyr of her if you like" she said quietly

"Arlen... it's for the best." Lily whispered, gently trying to pry him off her neck. After a few moments, she gave up, simply stroking his fur again. "I won't go tonight... not unless I can figure a way to turn you back."
Vincent shook his head helplessly, shrugging. "I don't..." he took a deep breath and fell silent again, needing to simply hold her. One hand ran through her hair, then began to pet her ears in turn while the other kept her close.

"Yeah... sleep would be..." Vincent trailed off again, then nodded. Slowly, he let go of her, then, rather suddenly, kissed her deeply. "I love you." he whispered as he pulled back. Then he gently moved her off his lap. "I'll be in your room. Can I have some time alone?" he asked softly.
