But.

I think it's actually a good idea when most naruto guilds implement a monetary system into the RP.
As in: You do a mission, and not only do you get to add a mission to your list of completed missions. But you also get paid money (IN RP, not actual gaia gold...) that could be used in the rp for weapons and gear.
You know, instead of people just appearing at the market place and buying 9000 random items merely because by the current rp rules... Well... They can.

It's actually a pretty cool system when done correctly.

Also, that money system is something I've had in mind for a long time. Ever since I started RPing on Gaia actually. The problem is, you would have to make an official HUD/posting format, so that you know everyone isn't just bullshitting their price.
Then again... I've been working on a rather nice HUD/posting format, which I've been using. Wouldn't be that hard to fix it up for guild wide use.

Well the point is don't judge my hyper-ness!)
When someone completes a mission, they are given a certain amount of in game credits of which for times sake I will call...
Shinobucks ™.
But, in order to actually use the Shinobucks ™.
They must provide proof that they actually have them.
Say, adding a special place for them within the profiles themselves to post proof that they have completed a mission and indeed do have the Shinobucks ™ that they say they have.
Then they can handle the amounts themselves. But they have to have proof for each transaction (Which honestly only would take a second to do...)
Then if anybody is caught cheating or not posting proof, they are banned from using Shinobucks ™ for a certain amount of time, or forever if need be.
...
The best part is if people are allowed to steal Shinobucks ™ from other shinobi. Or if the Villages themselves have their own store of Shinobucks ™ for creating buildings and rebuilding structures. The villages could even open their own stores to gather Shinobucks ™ from their people. Like a weapons store, or making you buy food at the ramen shops that pop up in EVERY VILLAGE FOR SOME STUPID REASON~ D:<
...That, of course, raises a whole other section of combat for the RP to revolve around.
Villages fighting each other for money, RPC's stealing from each other.
It's just like the real world, only better because it's Shinobucks ™!
