SCA = Society for Creative Anachronisms. I believe Drae and Val'Atar are both members actually... I know Vally is. They're a Middle Ages re-enactment society. Loads of fun. International, I believe.

SCA Registered Fighter = People who have been registered with the SCA as able to fight in tournaments and events. You have to be over 18, know what you're doing, and meet certain weapon/armor requirements. Tim knows how to fight within SCA Guidelines, he just doesn't have any armor. Armor is pricey.

and while I'm at it

Pennsic: a two week long "war" between the Middle and Eastern American divisions of the SCA in Pennsylvania. It's like the Renaissance Festival, just two whole weeks long, you camp there, there's shops, battles, classes, events... It sounds amazing. biggrin Tim's REALLY shooting to get registered and OK'd to fight so he can take part in the battles and I just want to tag along.

I've actually gotten down to writing again. It's not much, but it's something I'm passionate about.
I kind of want to show it to you guys to hear your opinions. Since quite a bit of you here are not only great RPers, but closet writers/artists as well, and I could use some feedback.

Just got back from there, didn't help much but there were many lulz to be had. on a side note, writing about ancient egyption politics amongst the pantheon is probing to be more interesting than I thought. (Apophis is now my second favorite deity)
