Sam laughs. "Ha ha. Or even an eagle!" Sam says as she grabs her scarf and starts to screech like an eagle.

"Ah, very clever!" Miranda says to Sam. "We're birdies!" she says while still flopping her arms.

Sam giggled. "Yes we are!" And started flapping her wings more too. "Oh what will Lyra think when she sees us like this?" Sam asks. "Oh well!"

"She'll probably laugh," Miranda says nodding her head. "LOOK! I CAN FLY!" She jumps off her bed and runs around the dormitory flapping her arms.

Sam claps her hands to Miranda's beating wings. "Won't it be wonderful when we can learn how to fly broom sticks?" Sam says dreamily. Imagine if we learn as well as Harry did!"

Miranda gasps. "I almost forgot about flying on brooomsticks! I think that's be the most AMAZING thing to experience. It looks really hard, though."

Lyra walks in to the dormitory as Sam and Miranda are running around flapping their scarves like wings. She stares, openmouthed, for a minute, then bursts out laughing. When Lyra is finally able to get herself back under control, she sits cross-legged on her bed and raises an eyebrow at the two of them. "So what was that all about?"

Lyra smacks her forehead with her palm. She shakes her head in disbelief, chuckling. "Wow... You guys are special. Then again, so am I, and I already knew that you are, Miranda, so I suppose I shouldn't really be surprised." Lyra jumps up off her bed and gives the two of them a bear hug. With a grin and a giggle, she adds, "So we can all be special together!" xd
