I've been playing alto sax since the end of 4th grade, and I'm the only one in the sax section who didn't try out for jazz band... xd i can't improv to save my life

i play bari and i have a friend who plays bari so we somtimes practice together @ the beginning of class. he doesnt want to play by himself during the concerts so i try to come. my teacher gave us blocks to hold up our saxs but we cant find them now so we have to use our binders. i am still wondering why he doesnt give us neck straps.

I play Alto Saxaphone. It's E-flat, like most. ^^ It is is Yamaha, which is not the best brand out there, but it's perfect for me.

@ Sierramist66: i don't really know how long i'm planning on playing the sax, right now, I can take two music classes, well really, 3 music classes, a day. But I love the sound of the sax and i'm gonna take whatever I can get that's playable and half way decent. =/ Saxes are soo expensive and popular that its hard to find a used one. But i'm wondering how the makers go, which ones are good and which are.. not so good..

Hey just a little info on me: ihave played alto since 5th grade and in 6th i joined my school's jazz band as the youngest sax player now i am in highschool, 9th grade and we had to audition to get into the band and i ranked 1st out of 57 kids ummm ive p;ayed baritone sax and want to play tenor and soprano but the school i go to doesnt have loaners so i got to buy some

i started on alsto sax in 4th grade but switched to tenor in 6th and now im the only tenor in my band which is freshman band

that was really good!!! and nice suit and shirt combo...lol. though the tune itself i did not like but you played it perfect. im more of a jazzy guy and thats to slow for me anyways but really good.

I'm first Chair Alto Saxophonist, the only girl in that section (out of 15 guys) and play on a 3 1/2 van Doraen reed. ^_^ 13 years old too!

I LOVE THE SAXOPHONE! I play the alto tener bari bass and saprano lol i love them all me goal is to own every saxophone so far i have a $5,000 alto from Yanagasawa. It rocks then i play the schools tener saprano and bari then i use the community bands bass

I play on a 3 1/2 rico reed GO RICO!!! i refuse to play with any thing other than rico. i am section leader and first chair in saxophone section and double reed i play the oboe. I also play piano a little trumpet, horn and trombone

im a tenor playa...i have a alto bt its to old and needs repairs. one of me best friends plays bari and is teaching me a bit o tha(hard hitting the low low notes) blaugh im the only tenor in my bandclass. my tenor is a conn and i play on a 3 van doren domokun ive played tenor for 4 years and clarinet for 2. ninja
