heart I'm part Irish too, I think...
Well, technically, it's Scot-Irish...
And for St. Patrick's Day... I'm... Visiting friends! Because I'm on Spring Break right now! heart
Although, I'm not a big fan of St. Patty's Day. I'm just kinda disappointed that I totally forgot about White Day being on the 14th, despite the fact that I'm not male and would not be receiving chocolate from anyone, anyway. xd

Actually... White Day is when the men GIVE the chocolates. It's made to be a counterpart to Valentine's Day, which is when women give chocolate to men. ^^; ::hadn't realized that she didn't explain it very well as she already knew what it was... sweatdrop ::
Yay for Japanese Holidays! Although Tanabata will ALWAYS be my favorite. heart

The Ides of March is more fun. The Shakespeare lovers get an excuse to wear a toga. ^^
I'm spending part of today going to the funeral of a friend's mother. Not exactly the best way to spend the end of my Spring Break.

But White Day is only celebrated in Japan as far as I know. For this conversation, it counts to say that Valentine's day is the day where the girls give chocolates to the guys. Otherwise, they'd be two holidays where guys give chocolates to girls.
Besides, why can't it count if one country does it differently? Different countries celibrate Christmas in different ways. Does that mean their Christmases don't count?

You're right, Anne.
And ACTUALLY. St. Valentine's day TRADITIONALLY involved lovers giving each other gifts.
Not my fault if my guy doesn't want a gift. =P

Yes, one holiday started because a guy was killed and another celebrated for a guy that was celebrated on because he killed people. Cheers to the deathly truth behind most holidays!

What are you talking about, Ty? "...and another celebrated for a guy that was celebrated on because he killed people"? We've only mentioned Saint Valentine's Day & the Ides of March. Saint Valentine was murdered &, according to the Shakespeare play of the same name, Julius Caesar was assassinated in a coup on the Ides of March. That's why the Soothsayer told him to beware the Ides of March.
