"I guess so. It isn't a bad look, though. Very classy." she mused.

"Even if I'm expecting you to do something Dorian Grey esque in the near future like that." She paused as she realized that might have been another reference: "Dorian Grey was a character in a novel who somehow had his soul trapped inside of a painting, leaving his body unaging as the painting would be, where all the cruelties and aging that should have shown in his physical form manifested in the canvas."

"I'm fine, I promise." Salbei repeated, chuckling under his breath at how much of a worrywart this ghoul was turning into. Seriously, it was only a little bit of blood! "You know, you can go mingle with your peers if you would prefer. You don't need to entertain this old pony!" He wasn't as old as he made himself sound, but part of him liked referring to himself as an old man for some reason. Though, truthfully, he was likely quite a bit older than her anyway.

She had been great fun, but he was giving her an out if she'd like to take it.

Alex returned his greeting and Salbei was all smiles again. On the subject of meeting your peers! This turned out well.

"Close! I am a Sage. Though...alchemy is and will forever be the most favourite job I have ever possessed." Oh, he loved Alchemy. Even if it did give him a bloody, uncontrollable cough on occasion. "My new friend here has been kind enough to teach me how you little ones dance!" He informed the Zombie almost proudly, keeping Taima's name out of it to let the ghoul introduce herself.

"Fledgeling, Alex, Alex, Fledgeling." Okay, so maybe he couldn't resist introducing her somewhat. Mostly because he thought the little bird ghoul was adorable...and promised to be fun to tease. "I owe him a great deal for his help in the past, he is a very good scareling." He assured Taima for what it was worth.

Hearing a chuckle, Jericho turned around to see Sammy standing there. Oh. There was someone with a camera.Or was it just a bluff? Nope. She definitely got it on video now.

"Spending your evening catching people on video, Sammy?" he asked while raising an eyebrow. He sounded more amused than anything.

"Oh?" he said while turning back towards Shehk, "That sounds pretty cool actually."

"Thank you, Mengyao." She said, as he went to pick up her mask and his cane, closing her eyes long enough for him to fit the bat-mask over her face, the dark plastic hiding some of the blush on her cheeks. Re-opening her eyes, she looked up to him, and awarded him a soft smile before dusting off her dress and straighting up a little.

Grabbing the door, she wandered back towards the party, every so often turning her head to peer behind her, to make sure that the taller horseman was following her - she didn't want him to bolt or something. She knew reasonably he wouldn't, but it was a nagging feeling. She felt guilty - and decided she would make it up to him later. Somehow.

Clearing her throat, she tried to pinpoint what conspired, and, in her decision, started walking towards the gryphon, deciding that this was a good place to start.

"Have you . . . seen Charlie?" She asked, very lightly, feeling sheepish about asking so suddenly.

Okay, so she couldn't reasonably expect to "sneak" up on anyone, muchless Mot, while she was jingling like an ornament. Or some cruel gnome prank. But every step kept her awake, so the bells were pretty much a necessary accessory. Which made sense, given she typically had very few accessories on her that were not totally necessary.

"You will live, Mot. You will live... and suffer as I have suffered," she told him, wiggling her fingers. Spooky. She was smiling, however much she tried not to, which kind of ruined the gravity of the situation. ... The situation being suddenly sparkles.

She accepted his compliment with a bow and a flourish, the tattoos on her back glowing as she leaned. "I am generally smooth, except ... in what I am about to show you, I suspect," she added, "for I have been dishonoured in dance. I lost to Tseng." For a moment, Amarus actually looked ashamed, her nose wrinkling as she grimaced.

She took a step back, shook herself loose, and then at the last moment dropped the single shoe she'd found somewhere on the floor again and prepared herself. Time to shine. ... except when she went to shine all she remembered was Lizzy jumping up and down, which she did (but crossed her arms rather soon after starting as she remembered it had been kinda a problem before when Lizzy jumped, though it could have been worse) and she shifted into one of the battle-spins (which she actually did properly, because she knew a bit of that already) and then finally into the shuffle.

Which she massacred. It was reminiscent of a certain fat panda someone had perhaps displayed earlier. Only tiny and glow-y and faintly glittery. The glow was catching the glitter, in fact, and making it seem worse.

She stopped dancing shortly after beginning the shuffle. And sighed. "... I am terrible, aren't I. It seems like I am only good at this when you eclipse my poor skills. ... and..." she moved back towards Mot to brush some of the glitter on his shoulder. "This appears to be contagious, as it seems to have moved onto other parts of me."

Amarus paused and looked up at Mot. "Is it bad, Mot? Will I have to have it... amputated?"

The gryphon looked down at the horsewoman. She tilted her head and was just about to open her beak when all of a sudden.

"TAHKI I DIDNT GET THE STAINS OUT BUT I WENT BACK TO YOUR DORM AND GOT YOU A KIGURUMI!" The pink haired demon came running back in to prom. He was slinging a kigurumi over his head as if it was a helicopter blade. The demon tossed it up and Tahki jumped up, a bright light shone , and Tahki was in human form again wearing a lamb kigurumi with a bell around the neck.

"I sort of destroyed your dress. It was kind of awesome but Im not sure how something so wet could catch on fire." Charlie scratched his head. Tahki smiled and patted him on the head then pointed downward to the pink haired demon.

"Found him ~" She declared to Lifen.

Anna studied False for a moment, taking in the glitter - then she nodded, slowly, and took the offered hand. "O-okay. I trust you," she said, with a small smile. "You, um, might have to show me how, though... I tried before, and it d-didn't work, so..."

Mot watched, and he tried with all his kind little cowboil heart not to smirk. But he did. Her dancing was atrocious, and they both knew it. When she stopped, Mot smiled, trying to cover his mouth with a hand as he chuckled. "You were terrible, little lady." He admitted. He usually aimed to flatter ghouls blindly, but that wasn't always for the best.

And again, with the glitter. Mot made a small face of disgruntlement at the glitter, but simply sighed in defeat. "Terribly contagious."

Her question was met with a stern and serious face. He leaned in, holding her shoulder firmly. "I am sorry. But yes. You will have to be amputated. And me as well. Look what you have done." He shook his head sadly. "Tragic." Another pat to the shoulder, and then he just grinned.

"Less drastic means would be a few good washes in the shower."

Suddenly Anna was tugged into a most glittery hug, sprinkling green and black against her as he hugged her close, "Not much to show just follow my lead." Moving to the dance floor he started to move them both side to side, hand's on her hips to guide her along.

"Now just like that, in time to the song." He shifted the pace following the newest song more closely grinning, "It's not that hard really not at all."

"Who me? No not really just the people I actually care about." She offered the dragon a pat on the shoulder, "Besides teasing Shehk is a personal hobby so a video like this just couldn't be passed up." Leaning around she waved at Shehk grinning eat to ear, "Hello yooooou. Little Miss Dancing Queen."

So what if a slow song had come on? Freya was still shuffling.

So what if Shun had abandoned her for his ghoul? Freya was still shuffling!

So what if Kettil was coming over to - oh, well maybe she would stop shuffling for that.

..No, wait, she was still shuffling.

"Hai, Kettil!" She squeaked, taking his hand and pulling him closer to shuffle. He didn't shuffle with her, however, and eventually she had to stop.

"Business..?" She asked, flickering her gaze over to where Herryk waited, before taking Kettil up on his request. "What is business that we has teh talks, Hooter?" She fell into his arms comfortably, and started to sway to the song.

Pretty. She didn't listen to the words.

"Are yeh havings a good times with Lark?" She looked around for the ghoul, and then bent in to whisper. "Does she still hates me?"

Luckily for Lizzy, Mac completely missed the way she poked her own boobs; she never would have heard the end of it if he had. When she turned back to face him he was smiling softly, his gaze glancing at the silver necklace that nestled nicely against her skin before flickering back up to make eye contact. "Beautiful, as always." He only broke the contact once, when he closed his eyes to lean in and return the kiss, revelling in the way she didn't shrink back or feel hesitant. A real kiss.

Brows raised as she pulled up her skirt - here, Lizzy, really? Really? But then he saw the trowel, and his hand instantly flew up to hold his mouth to try and stifle insane laughter. A trowel, really? Well, it was a sweet enough gest---wait, that wasn't it? Curious!

"Ooh?" He took both gifts from her, looking at the trowel as if wondering where to put it, eventually stashing it in a nearby bush. "Until Prom is over." He promised her, now getting to the box. It didn't take him long to open it, and when he saw what it was, he looked surprised. He knew what it was, obviously; it wasn't just a watch. No, it was a watch with a barometer. Cool!

"This is great, thank you!" He quickly took it out of it's box, immediately clasping the new watch around his wrist. Of course he would play with it later, but for now...he had things to attend to. Important things. Things like, making everything right. The Box was disposed of and he took a step forward, once more putting her up against the wall with his mere advance.

This time though, he leaned his entire forearm on the wall near her head, leaning in close with a smile. "I love you~" He informed her quietly, leaning in for the now-traditional Prom wall-kiss.

"If you post it up on the interwebs I'd never let you pet my ears ever again." Shehk countered to Sammy slyly. She knew Sammy would always pick her ears, after all. They were her ears.

"It is! I'd recommend both 'The Portrait of Dorian Grey' and 'The Little Prince' for reading if you ever feel like you need something to do while hidden away up in your domain." she replied to Jericho.

"My peers?" Taima's eyes scanned the hall, where many of the other students had gone who-knew-where to do who-knew-what, having left the dance floor or the room altogether. And many of them seemed to be covered in glitter; trying to get that out of her feathers would be a special kind of hell. Well, the night was young and there was plenty of time to meet more people later. "I'm good for now if you are," she replied, smiling up at Sal. "Unless you'd like to continue networking."

She turned to look at the boil Sal waved over, listening to their exchange of greetings with interest that only increased when Sal called himself a sage. That was going right up there on the things Taima had every intention of asking him about when the opportunity presented itself.

Taima rolled her eyes and shook head in mock exasperation as Sal introduced her by her new nickname. "I'm Taima," she amended, smiling brightly as she reached out to shake Alex's outstretched hand. "Nice to meet you."

It was probably good that Mot hadn't tried to flatter her, because she would have decided he was a liar. And a terrible one at that. Because she was most certainly aware she was terrible, and somehow, that hadn't been the point. She was not entirely sure what the point had been at all, really; Lizzy said it wasn't about knowing what to do, it was just about moving to the music. And Tseng said something similar. In the end, Amarus just saw Mot alone, and got excited she'd tried to dance at all.

She was far from the dance master's skills, though, and she had definitely earned his smirk. "I'll show you, one day," she said, somewhere between a threat, a promise and amused sulking. On the bright side, she had moved on from the glitter, and was now trying to scrub it off her palm using her other hand, completely uninterested in rubbing it on her new friend. Well, only now that she'd tried a couple times.

Until he was very seriously holding her shoulder, and her silvery eyes were locked on his stern expression as she watched with something pretty akin to a mirror's blank reflection. "Well, it's tragic for me, I don't know that you'd miss a couple missing pieces-- you can still be you without your shoulder," she suggested. "I, however, am much more interesting with all of my attachments."

"A few? What do they make this out of?" she asked, grimacing. Then, a sigh, and a stretch. And ignoring the glitter on her palm. "I have come to a decision: I accept this glitter as a hideous part of me, and will learn to like it for what it is."

Amarus tilted her head and regarded Mot, before looking away to scan the dance floor. "So you are finally taking a break from the dancing?" She asked, checking the dancers for any sign of her friends. Especially Mac, who'd just disappeared suddenly-- though hadn't he reunited with Lizzy near the end? It seemed like this music was far too slow compared to the other music, and at first, Amarus didn't really understand its purpose.

Until she looked around and realized the slow music was designed to encourage the couples to dance even closer. And slower. And affectionately? She promptly decided to pretend she had never figured that out, and started to try to unravel a thread at the edge of her top, which was actually a vest meant for a boil that someone had chopped up, sewed back together and made into promwear for her. ... what had been heard could not be unheard.

She made what was sort of a fishie face as she looked away, idly, without realizing what she was doing, and returned to her usual expression, then looked back at Mot. Stay awaaake, don't give in to the quiet music. It is not naptime. It is not naptime. It is not na-- Amarus yawned, covering her mouth with the back of her white-gloved wrist.

His arms draped around her lightly not holding her too close he felt though some might beg to differ as he just shifted along with her. In comparison it wasn't as tightly as he had held Lark at an earlier dance. It was just a friendly dance with a good friend. "Yes, businesses, Goldilocks, we have a contest between us that we must complete or perhaps you forgot?" he grinned easily at her, "the buffet~," he reminded her cheerfully.

"...Or are you afraid I will beat ya?" There was a hint of teasing to his tone.

His expression softened briefly as she asked after Lark, "Ya, we're havin' lots of fun, we even took a picture at the photobooth," he gave a goofy but pleased grin. The whisper gave him a pause - a moment of thought, "I think she's slowly gettin' over that, but I think that's between the both of ya to discuss. I'm pretty sure Herryk wouldn't care if I suddenly burst into flames," his observation to her was murmured in a low quiet tone followed by a briefly troubled frown. Things were working out so wonderfully but now...

...He wasn't sure how much he could salvage.
