So here are the cat explanations I remember:
A. Cats are aliens, therefore they are reacting to alien intervention.
B. Cats have better senses than we do, so they can tell if there's a ghost or supernatural presence. Possibly might sense a witch/wizard since cats are often their familiars.
C. The cats smelled someone unusual, possibly either smelling of dog or of garbage.
D. A cat was chewing on the electrical lines.

Wait... WAIT. Does anyone keep track of how many cats Cleo has on her avatar? If one of them is missing, then it means that D is correct, because ANYTHING that chews on an electrical cord is going to be instantly electrocuted.

I agree with Tasn, her avatar seems to be missing something, and if Val is right about her avatar recently having Lucy but not anymore, then I think we've found out the reason for the flickering lights.

She got rid of Lucy awhile ago to make room for two other cats. lol was lucy tht big?? anyway, didn't the clue say a faint red glow is all they'll see before they become a part of its evil killing spree? could that be saying the red glow and the murderer are seperate.. or the cats committed manslaughter?

D: Of course, but that doesn't mean I can't be part of the event. ninja I can see that you guys are kind of struggling though, so I'll drop a couple hints here. 1. One person got the cat part 100% correct. Not telling you who. If you find out, the light part will become a piece of cake. 2. There is only one motive. Sure, some factors might have determined who dies when, but it's all for one not-so-good cause. CleoSombra.............the cats............the wires..........the claw marks..............this is starting to make a bit of sense It is? I mean it is! It is? Because cleo's a girl and the murderer(said by the clues) is male. not female

All the dying children It kept switching between offense and defense modes and then wouldn't respond for a short time, like how a foot might fall asleep. Who's there knocking at my window

Can you enlighten me on the functions of offensive and defensive mode? Also, do the separate modes have different power levels (like Stun, Kill, etc.)?

All the dying children Offensive mode is just normal, with an elongated cylinder shape, defensive is a more shield shape. They're both adjustable and they still shoot the same way, just defense mode is thicker and provides more protection. Who's there knocking at my window

Kats Kokeshi Doll Jer0nim0 Tasn Zheng -shrugs- I just feel like us dwelling on cats at this point for too long might make us lose the bigger picture. There are also the other clues to consider: mainly the 'hallowed' and 'garbage mask' hints. But then again, it might just be because I'm tired and can't stand reading anymore about cats. With those gift-clues, by the way... I was wondering if it's necessarily wordly meanings or some sort of code. KKD or someone referred to understanding them as "deciphering" so.... The "hallowed ground" one is pretty cryptic, you might have to think about it for a while. The garbage mask one could or could not be of importance, but the answer has been in front of your faces ever since the clue came out. >w> I will tell you this, though. Out of the 3 clues you guys are working on now (hallowed ground, cats/lights, and garbage mask) one of them is far more important than the others. Does that mean the killer, or that it's a mask? BTW, isn't Hallowed Ground one of the zOMG badges? Could that be relevant in ANY way?
