Alek snorted. "Don't be ridiculous. It's incredibly hard to get a non-vampire woman with dhampir. Takes years." Less so with vampire women... he sighed. "I should probably find a way to contact Angel," he mused. "Just to make sure she hasn't raped anyone and gotten pregnant yet."

Riley sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "I don't know. It's probably a horrible, horrible idea even thinking about having a baby in a traveling group like ours that's a magnet for trouble. Alek nuzzled Ceri's neck. "Really, though, Michael, you should leave."
She kissed his neck. "Because you love me and we're going to get married and live happily forever after!" She latched onto him and the idea, smiling happily. Momma, I love you... The voice came softly from within her, and she smiled and moved from Riley to sit cross-legged and rub her tummy, which made Jezebellun very happy. How could Angel ever hate something so lovely?
