Devon jerked backwards and landed on his back. He pulled his weapon out to the side, hooking it around Kai's ankle and yanking on it.

Kai fell to the ground and kicked out at Devon from there.

Devon took a deep breath and pushed back off the ground with his palms, landing with his feet braced on either side of Kai. He pulled his Kusarigama free on it's entanglement and held one of the blades to Kai's neck.

Shadow Kai's eyes flashed red. "Do it! Kill me and see what happens to Kai!"
The area flashed red. "System error! Forceful exit in 5...4...3..."
Shadow Kai grinned. "Oh, looks like you don't get a chance. Till next time. Best buddy." Shadow Kai started laughing.
"2...1."
Kai and Devon were brought back to the real world.

A scientist looked up. "The computer found an error in your duel opponent Mr. Devon! We forced an exit before anything really bad could happen.
Kai pulled off his helmet, looking pale and tired.

"I bet it did..." Devon scoffed, standing up. He immediately turned to Kai, grabbed his arm, and pushed the sleeve up.

Kai jumped back, but not before the scars could be seen. "Wh-what are you doing?!" Kai pulled down his sleeve hurriedly.

"That's not-!" Devon snatched at Kai again and grabbed only air. He huffed and crossed his arms. "Fine. Don't tell me. I don't care." He muttered darkly and walked out of the room.
