"Oh I wouldn't say native to the area, but I have certainly seen it in the area. Actually that was why I came looking for you Mr. Blackstone. I have been looking into a particular laboratory in Gotham which runs experiments on... let us say special people. In my research I came across your name quiet a few times as well as the names of some other associates of yours who had been involved with the Lab at some point. Then again this was all on a document that could easily have been altered. Regardless I was simply looking for more information before offering my services." With an introduction to his search made Edmond did something he didn't really have to, he returned to speaking to Edel about the Black Mercy plant. She seemed interested in it and he needed her on his side so perhaps by telling her about it he would be able to keep her from prying around in his head. As for Blackstone, he had been given plenty to think about. "To my understanding the Black Mercy plant is able to place whomever touches it into a dream like state. All good dreams, which supposedly makes it an effective way to sedate people."

"Puts them in a dream like state?" Edel mused. A small smile curled around her lips. "Imagines the potions and spells I could learn from that.... Where might one find one of these plants?" she asked, looking over at Edmond. "Yes." Blackstone added. There was a different sort of tone to his voice now. Less casual. More on the cautious side. "I'm assume they would be found in this laboratory you were speaking of. If they make an effective sedative, I would guess that's what they're used for." he said. Then he crossed his arms over his chest. "I'm rather interested to hear what you know about this place. And.... how exactly my name came up..."Edel grinned and looked over at Blackstone. "Bad for business, is it dear?" she purred.

That had certainly surprised Edmond. He recognized that change in tone. Edmond slowly turned his head to look at Blackstone. It this man didn't know, then he had nothing to gain here, only information to loose. Things had just become complicated. His primary goal became protecting Emily's identity. Blackstone could know about the lab because it did not cause a problem. First Edmond turned and looked at Edel. "According to my research you can find them in many places. I just know about the ones in Gotham and they aren't exactly for sale." Edmond said with a smile attempting not to break character. Then he turned to look at Blackstone.
"Charlemagne and Allure. When researching the particulars of the establishment I came across them. Supposedly they were in charge. I do enjoy finding out where these kinds of people come from. Your name came up in both cases. As for your relationship to them, well the file was vague." Edmond lied. He wanted to see how Blackstone would play it. If he told him what Edmond believed was the truth Edmond would be able to gauge the trust he could put in Blackstone. If Blackstone lied, Edmond would know that he should follow the man a little more.

Blackstone tilted his head a bit and his expression became thoughtful as he puzzled over the information. "The only Charlemagne I know of was one of my former employees. Allure though... I don't recall ever meeting someone with that name." he replied. Edel smiled a bit and had her attention focused more on the new plant she had been told about. Thinking over how she could go about obtaining one, and what all sorts of spells and potions she could gain from such abilities.

So Blackstone obviously wasn't directly lying. What he had said did line up with the file and Emily's stories. The real trouble was trying to decode when Blackstone was from. Edmond tried not to make it too obvious but he needed to give Blackstone a little more to see if he could get anything else. "I believe it may be the same person seeing how closely this laboratory's work relates to the work of other organizations." Edmond was careful not to directly mention MOS. That may set off a red flag he did not need to set off yet. But in time he may have to mention it.

"Hm...." Blackstone mused. "The only organization I have been involved in that would be of interest was more.... experimental in nature." He added. He said the word "experimental" rather carefully. After a moment, Blackstone looked up at Edmond. "How much do you know about this place?"

"Believe me Mr. Blackstone, this organization I am looking into enjoys experiments. I have been there and seen it." Edmond had not intended to let that slip but he covered his mistake by moving onto Blackstone's question. "I know quite a bit about this place. There were many files with names and locations. Lots of information I briefly read over. I even took a tour, not fully sanctioned but I am a resourceful man."

"I see..." Blackstone mused. "And you came here to seek me out. Were you simply wanting to get a better gauge on those working at the organization? Or did you have something else in mind?" Unless the man was completely clueless to who Blackstone was... Richard doubted he came all the way here just to meet him. Not if the man had been to this organization and had knew quite a bit about it. It was more likely that he was here to try to sell information... or make Richard aware of this place.

Honestly I was also seeking to gauge those working with the organization but I do see that I will find very few of those particular people here. " Edmond lied. He had done enough by telling Blackstone that the organization existed. The few extra details should only have made Blackstone more curious about the underground exhibit. If things worked out Edmond would be able to simply track Blackstone's movements and see if anything related to the Underground Exhibit popped up. Having said all he came to say Edmond stood and prepared to leave.

"Is that truly ALL.... you came here for?" Edel said, her voice a low purr. The woman's dark eyes were turned towards Edmond, and there was a faint but noticeable gleam in them. "You've piqued both of our interests... you're surely not about to leave, are you?" Her hands that were curled under her chin, and she gently tapped a slender finger against her other hand.

"Well I do enjoy the drinks here but unless either of you know about some organization known as MOS, then yes, that is all I require from the two of you. Thank you for your information." That had not been a slip up. Edmond knew exactly what he was doing when he spoke about MOS. It was difficult to strign together reasons for knowing these things but he would be able to do it. He would always be able to do so. Edmond watched for their reactions as he pushed his chair in. "I have little left to offer either of you. I am stale company when around for too long."

Edel didn't have much of a reaction to what Edmond added. She kept her gaze focused on him, the small twinkle still in her eyes, and smiled. Richard, on the other hand, had a rather subtle reaction. A small frown curled around his lips, and his gaze narrowed in on Edmond. His posture became a bit stiff, but he didn't move. Nor did he try to bring up the subject on MOS. He knew about the organization, of course. He knew of it quite well. But he wasn't about to bring up that... mess. "So that really is all you were wanting?" Edel asked, grinning still. "Well then, if there's truely nothing more you want from us, take this." she said, then pulled a small black and violet business card out from the sleeve of her dress. She held it between her fingers, then let it go. The card floated in the air above her for a moment, then made it's way towards Edmond. On the card read "Audra Ailith", and an address located between New York and Gotham. "I am curious about the plant you spoke of. And.... I'm curious about you, I'll admit. Quite a bit of information to have on hand, and not want anything from people who could make you very wealthy. Or.... could 'help' you..." she continued.

Edmond did notice a few of the slight changes in Blackstone's disposition after the mention of MOS. That was good, at least one thing he said had fazed the man. That would be beneficial. When Edel offered him the card he gracefully accepted with a smile. After quickly glancing over it he slid the card into his pocket. It had not been her name on the card as far as he knew so he would have to ask Emily about it as soon as he could. He listened carefully as she spoke and his reply came naturally. "Well then when I have more information on the plant, or any other questions I will be sure to visit." Edmond said as he took a step back from the table. "I like to be prepared when speaking to people who could potentially have information for me. Trading is very important in this world. " Edmond didn't say anything about why he didn't want money or 'help'. He figured that by leaving it up in the air, Edel and Blackstone would believe that Eric Monte did not need their help.

"That it is..." the dark haired woman agreed, glancing back over at Blackstone. She had noticed his slight change in demeanor as well. More so now that she was actually looking at him. But... that was to be expected. He'd never been very proud of MOS, or himself for being involved with it. And to have it just show up in this would without his knowledge... looks like she might be needed by him in the end anyway. Edel looked back towards Edmond and smiled. "I'll be looking forward to your call. In the meantime, I'm sure you have other matters to attend to. We'll let you go one to whatever other... business you have to be taken care of. You've certainly given us a conversation for the rest of the night." she said, then looked back at Blackstone. The man was regarding the both of them, but she could tell that he had put up his little "wall". As he usually did when he quite suddenly didn't want to say anything on a matter or let anyone know he was going to have a lot to deal with. "That is if you have time to converse?"

Edmond nodded to the duo once more "Enjoy the drinks." He said plainly before turning and walking back down the stairs and onto the main floor of the lounge. He didn't leave yet. Instead he found another table and ordered a drink. He made it seem as if he had another reason for coming. Then he took out his phone and called Emily. Perhaps she would know more about the card Edel had given him.
