Alfred---Solaris

"Still myself...?"
Raising the towel to his face, the Gardevoir narrowed his eyes over it, mind sparking with lucidity for the time being. It had apparently been the Scyther's very presence that sparked it. Tolin being the last person he'd spoken to before waking up.
Having been stuck in this bed for little over a month was doing nothing for his mood and his nerves were antsy now.
"Winning...? Really-" Another coughing fit, lucky there was now a convienent towel to hide his face in less he end up painting Tolin red again.
Ah...what were they talking about again?
Absentmindedly he toyed with the IV in his arm and gave it a sharp tug, but it didn't come out.
"...I don't want to be here anymore...tell them to let me go."
Hospials, nurses, doctors, the smell...when he could focus long enough to remember where he was it drove him mad.
His expression fell again, an almost pitiful, pleading look.

Tolin

"We killed another one quite recently and gained a new group of allies. If things keep up like this we..." His words drifted off as Alfred began to cough up blood. Tolin would have carefully taken his hands from the IV, but it was clear that he didn't have the physical strength to remove it. It was fairly well bound, just in case he tried to do... well, exactly what he was doing. He needed that blood to survive, after all. If he took the IV out he would be liable to bleed out from the constant retching and vomiting of blood.

Tolin closed his eyes in silence for a few moment, searching for the thin yet always-present link between himself and the Lugia. The Lugia had, not to his preference, ended up acting as a sort of hub for psychic communications between Tolin and other people. The Lugia could search people out over great distances (especially those he already had linked with, even if only briefly) and he maintained a constant link to both Serrin and Tolin. It was a convenient enough method, since it would let him contact either of the two the moment he could get it going.

His eyes flickered open and he put on a reassuring smile, both to mask his own anxiety and soothe Alfred. "Serrin is going to get your medical information and Desmond will ask Pluto if you can stay there for the time being. If it's possible, we'll have you out of here shortly." Pluto's medical staff was extremely capable. Pluto himself had been on a streak of good health as of late, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect them to be willing. And, well, besides that, "ask" perhaps wasn't a strong enough term for what Desmond had been told to do, if it came to it. The better environment would help his health as it was, and it would give Alfred the time he needed to... collect himself as best he could.

Era

Era followed Serrin into the room, looking furtively around as if for some way to escape this inevitable confrontation. She really didn't want to do this, oh Arceus did she not want to do this. The Pikachu's ear twitched a few times in a compulsive nervous tick; she was so apprehensive that she couldn't look him in the eye. I'm sorry Tempest, she thought, They're the only ones I'll tell.

Era took a deep breath, trying to find the the right way to say this."Before you say anything," she started, finally raising her eyes to meet his, "I didn't do anything to find this out." If he believed that then maybe, maybe it would be a bit easier to explain this. "It was coincidence actually," she continued, "I happened to meet the Guildmaster of Roaring Thunder earlier today. We had a conversation and then a Raichu showed up, who Tempest promoted to her advisor. The Raichu's name was Fang and they seemed to get along...well sort of anyway." Era flinched, oh no, now she was rambling, "So then we started talking about the problems that the Guilds were facing, and I told Fang what I knew, then Tempest...Tempest decided to fill in the blanks."

Era closed her eyes for a moment, well, here it was. "What I know is nothing new to you, but I thought it best that you know what I've learned, since...well Tolin and yourself seem to me to be the most knowledgeable about this." She clasped her paws together, and finally got down to the heart of the matter, "What we're up against...I know what it is. I know about Arceus and his trinity, I know about the corrupted Elite and their pendants, I know about Darkrai and the mirror...what more can I say Serrin?" Her eyes met the Ivysaur's timidly once more, "I haven't and won't breathe a word of it to anyone, but I thought it would be for the best if I let Tolin...if I let you know."

Alfred---Lloyd---Solaris

Alfred lapsed off somewhere around 'medical information' and dropped his gaze to his hands which were laying on his lap, palm up.
Outside a short stream of curses sounded as well as the wet 'splat' of water dripping onto the linoleum.
Lloyd stomped over to Solaris in anger, sopping wet, and extended a claw to point at the Espeon.
"You dumped me in the hot springs!""Be grateful. I wanted to dump you in the Lava Pools." The Psychic type mewled, his fur bristling in annoyance.
He raised a paw to shove Lloyd's hand out of his face before pointing his own claws at the Weavile.
"Tolin's in there right now and you have two choices. You can go in there, inform him of what you know and answer any questions without a single curse word, shout or insult...OR you can completely disregard everything I'm saying and try to pick a fight with me and I assure you the second you choose the latter I will teleport your sorry a** right at the Tower of Origins doorstep and let the Elite deal with you. I doubt they take lightly to a traitorous b*****d such as yourself..."
The was a silence as Lloyd quickly tried to weigh whether or not the Espeon was bluffing, but in the end he snarled once and stepped into the room with the most disgruntled expression he could muster.
He stopped short, about five feet away from the Scyther, and folded his arms.
"You want me to explain first or do you want to ask some questions?"
The Gardevoir finally glanced up, eyes partially closed as though dozing off.

Tolin & Serrin

Serrin looked mildly annoyed at Era, and then mildly annoyed at something else entirely, as if some voice were speaking to him from outside the room. It was only a few moments, however, before the expression ceased. He had different orders, since Lloyd had decided to deal with things himself. Ah well, he was less likely to piss off Pluto anyways. He had enough time to deal with Era, since a better understanding of his medical situation would be necessary in order to prepare any kind of a move. He could hardly make the request of Pluto without knowing what was wrong, after all.

"Keep it to yourself." The words were less a request, and more a command. His voice left no room for err in the ideal that he wasn't willing to let things go wrong or escape; that would be bad. "The reason that isn't public is because it would cause a panic. Tempest will be reminded of this fact shortly. But for now, you must not tell anyone. Do you understand, Era?"

~~~
"Well, I have my guesses..." Tolin closed his eyes for a moment, sending a mental message to Desmond. "But I think it would be easier for both of us if you just explained it."
In all likelihood, his blood had shredded some of his organs. His mind was still fine, but the more tangible elements of his soul were likely damaged or gone entirely. Suecra had an amazingly strong pull, and given the method that they had used to separate the two, it was likely part of Alfred was stuck inside of that sword as well. The problem was just how bad the damage was. Waking up as he had, after two huge shocks to his system, it was hard to distinguish what damage was permanent, what was temporary and what could be healed. Alfred might constantly dip in and out of lucidity for the rest of his life, much like Orion... though unable to move due to the physical damage. Or it was possible he would heal almost completely, having to deal only with mental lapses and forgetfulness from time to time.
Well, Tolin fully intended to make sure it was the latter, once he had the time to deal with it.
Lloyd sighed. This was going to be a pain to explain.
"The tonic healed him alright, the wounds scarred over and apparently it brought back his sight. More or less anyways. Depth-perception is still off and he shouldn't rely on it entirely. What it also did was label his father's blood as an infection and started to expell it in anyway it could. Tore up one of his lungs as you can probably tell."
He glanced over towards Alfred as the Gardevoir started coughing again.
"Until we figure out how to stop it from tearing him apart we have him set with some blood transfusions to keep him stable. Otherwise he'd probably bleed to death in an hour or so at the rate he's been going." Gardevoir being skinny bastards and all that as well...
"As for mental state...well, we've been monitoring him and I'm not exactly sure how to put this nicely so you get the wonderful blunt and honest version. When that mirror ripped Suecra out it lacked the finess to divide the God from Alfred so it's a bit mixed. Basically it split both of their..."
He didn't want to use the word 'soul'. He was a doctor, not some religious idiot.
"...essence and I'll be the first to tell you once the Elite find out they got jipped out of a WHOLE God of Destruction then they'll be furious. Things get complicated when you have two seperate beings in one body. After time they tend to lap over one another into a single entity which is basically what was happening to Alfred before Suecra was ripped away..."
Solaris leaned into the room from the doorway at this, his mind wrapping around one particular comment.
"...what will the Elite do when they found out they didn't get all of Suecra?"
"They'll come back for the rest." The Weavile stated in a strangely calm manner.
"And yeah, if it happens again there's no chance in hell he'll survive it this time. So we got ourselves another problem to deal with, but I'm certain it won't become an issue immediately. Darkrai will be focused on the relics right now since he THINKS he has the trinity."
Alfred by this point had practically dozed off again, leaning back against the metal headboard of the bed with his head tilted down.
Lloyd grabbed the edge of the bed's railing and shook it violently and the Gardevoir jolted back up with wide eyes and a pout.
Era
Era nodded, saddened by the annoyance in Serrin's eyes. She shouldn't have expected anything less, hadn't expected anything less, but it still hurt. To be considered an mild annoyance by someone who you saw as a friend...well it was an unhappy thing. "I understand Serrin," she said adamantly, reaffirming what she stood by, "I said it before and I will say it again; I will tell no one. Not a random Pokemon I happen to meet, not even my Team; I swear to you I won't give away your secrets." The Pikachu was sincere in her words, the look in her eyes was enough to show that. Era had never been one for concealing her emotions and now was just the same, there was no doubt in her mind that she meant what she said and would keep their secret to her death if she had to, and she wanted Serrin to understand that. She wasn't stupid, contrary to what seemed to be popular opinion; she knew that it would cause mass panic and she knew that it would be catastrophic if these things were to be widespread, yet here she was being chided for knowing something she hadn't asked to know and instructed like a child that she should keep secrets. It was irritating but she could bear it so long as she knew that they knew she could be trusted.
Tolin & Serrin
Ah, so it was his immune system. Tolin had mused that some of his organs were being shredded, but all the same it was still an issue. "Well, that's something of a problem..." It was a rather sobering fact that, in all likelihood, Alfred would have to die in order for them to be able to complete Arceus. Though, it wasn't like they didn't have a chance all the same... and it did give them something of an ace for the time being. So long as Alfred was safe, they didn't have to worry about Darkrai trying to take control of the universe. Not that that stopped the clock from counting down...
"Could we suppress his immune system without permanently damaging it? If it's given some downtime, at the very least it'll stop attacking him." If they could keep is quiet without murdering it out of existence, they had a good chance. They would just have to keep him in a sterile environment, which the hospital was presumably equipped with. "...Barring that, would it be possible to move him into the care of Pluto's medical staff? It would help improve his mental health somewhat. He hates hospitals."
~~~

Serrin smiled. "Good girl." If it got out to the public, they were all completely and totally ********. They wouldn't have a chance to restrain any information, the guilds would cease to function... Well, not totally ********, but it would be problematic. They would still have their legendaries, the tribe and a few other people, but the guilds were a significant power source as a whole if not individually. And every little bit counted when you were going up against the primal forces of the universe. "I'm sorry you had to get wrapped up in this. This isn't your generation's fight." He gave a solemn nod before moving to the door. There was business to be done shortly, one way or another.

He paused in front of the closed door, his vine holding tentatively onto the door handle. He looked back at Era for just a moment before speaking, opening the door and heading on his way. "Do yourself a favour. When we head for the tower, take your team, pack your bags and leave the city."

Alfred---Lloyd---Solaris

Lloyd eyed the Scyther with some semblance of disdain, but held his tongue as Solaris chose this moment to step into the room with his ears flattened.
The Weavile rolled his eyes, shook his head and waved a claw nonchalantly.
"Suppress his immune system? No, I don't see a way to do that without nuking it entirely and dying from a cold the next day or something. As for moving him that is out of the question. You'd need better equipment than what Pluto has an acess to the IVs here for blood tranfusions and we are not permitted to take anything out of the hospital unless it's appro-"
"I approve it. Do what Tolin asks."
Lloyd huffed at the Espeon's interruption before turning back to the Scyther.
"The hospital has better security to boot, moreso than the Sun Guild which is attacked constantly and with ease. If you want to approve this move than know the risks of it..."
He 'tsk'ed and turned away as Solaris stepped up next to Tolin's chair.
"I'll leave this under your call, let me know what you decided and I'll approve it. In the meantime I'm returning to the guild with Epitaph. It's been...a stressful day already."NAP NAP NAP. He wanted a nap! He never got naps properly anymore! NRRRRR. He turned and padded out the room back to the hallway.
Throughout the entire conversation Alfred remained silent, eyes closed and head bowed as though in deep thought but he was actually falling asleep once again.

Era

Era sighed, relieved to have gotten that over with. She felt a great deal better having that smoothed over now, as if a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders. It was reassuring to see him smile too, things weren't so bad as she'd dreaded them to be. She paused after he nodded to her, and sighed slightly, "It's just the way things happened I suppose..." she replied, "And whether it's my fight or not, I guess I'm fighting it." But it was alright in Era's mind, alright because she was fighting with and for those who she most cared about. She had faith in the Guildmasters and Tolin and Serrin, that they'd come up with a way to figure things out.

The Pikachu listened to Serrin's final words and watched solemnly as he walked away. She appreciated the gesture, it told her that he cared, which meant a lot to her. She wished that she could say that she would, but she didn't know if when the time came she'd be able to. It was a matter that needed thought, and would require a great deal of convincing of her Team to make them want to turn tail and go the other way. Era took a final look around the hospital but then decided on heading back, she'd had an information overload for today what with everything she'd heard, and Serrin was already gone. The best thing to do would be to go home, brew a cup of tea, and think things over, which was exactly what she intended to do.

Epitaph

Epitaph sat idly, just existing and watching. She merely turned her head toward each speaker as they took turns speaking. For whatever reason, she was smiling weakly,but that wasn't anything new coming from her.
Her ears twitched and she quickly looked over at Solaris at the sound of her name. Going back home sounded nice-- the situation aside, atleast. Relaxing always sounded nice until you remembered the issues at hand. Epitaph's ears lowered slightly at the thought before she stood and inched over to Solaris before sitting back down again.

"Thank you, Solaris." Well, it wasn't really the Espeon's choice, but everyone paid attention to him anyways for some reason so as long as he got either Solaris's or Pluto's written consent it really wouldn't matter. As long as Nova agreed to watch over Alfred, it wasn't likely to be a problem. "Serrin is on his way to Pluto's residence to discuss the matter. As for the other concerns... it's more the inverse. The hospital doesn't have enough measures to protect against an intruder. It's happened in the past... it can happen again. Pluto's residence can be better defended, if necessary, and his staff will allow Alfred constant, teleport-trained monitoring in case an attack does come. It also lowers the likelihood of a violent attack; someone forcing their way into Pluto's home would alert the entire guild, but breaking through the hospital would be met with minimal resistance. The Elite are also likely already aware of his presence here, in this very room, so moving him buys us some time if we do so quietly. And should their skills be lacking, their teleport training should allow them to find you, Vito or Lucy faster than you would be able to respond ordinarily, even if he was within the building." All in all, teleporting him would be better for him on a health level, safer for him as an individual and less dangerous for the city. If the Elite attacked the hospital to try and get Alfred back, there wouldn't be any survivors. The same could be said for the guild, but at least they would have a chance to fight back. If Alfred was taken, then it was likely a dead end for them, since Darkrai would immediately fuse himself with the two errant gods.

It really would be much better if he were moved. "For now, I'll stay here. His move is to be kept hidden. It might be best if we could declare him deceased just prior, in order to avoid arousing the suspicion of staff." It would be another layer of protection against who-knows-what.

Solaris headed onward, nudging Epitaph with his head for her to follow. Once out of range of the hospital he'd teleport them back to his office.

"Do whatever." Lloyd said with a sneer, strolling to the corner of the room where a small fridge-like appliance sat on a small counter. Opening it revealed not snacks or drinks, but bright red IV packs of blood with entricate labels and the Weavile flicked through them before withdrawing one out.
"This would be less of a hassle if Alfred had a different blood type. He's B- which is only compatible with other B- blood and O- of which we don't have."Calmly strolling to the IV, Lloyd unhooked the empty pouch that previously hung there and swapped it for the new one.
"He's losing it faster than we can pump it into him too. Not much B- type left either after the Elite attacks. We're pretty shot on most supplies after dealing with all the Pokemon that had been injured. Been kinda hectic lately."
He felt the need to explain this as though it excused his bad attitude.
Lloyd reached over and suddenly grabbed Alfred's arm, making the Gardevoir jump in alarm.
Without pause he narrowed red eyes at the IV that had noticeably been tampered with.
"Quit messing with this, dammit. And stay awake for now, at least until we figure out if we're moving you."Alfred nodded numbly and waited for the Weavile to leave before glancing to Tolin.
"Move me?" He asked, previous conversation having been forgotten entirely.
Then, without warning the Gardevoir lurched forward and retched up a sudden torrent of blood that quickly dyed the rest of the white blanket a startling red, his hands which he'd raised in an attempt to force it back did little to stop it and now the crimson liquid dripped messily from between his fingers..
He raised a hand up to his face to cover his eyes to avoid looking at it.
Nothing sears the eyes more deeply than the look of ones own blood on a white canvas.

Running low on blood, huh? That could be a problem. "I'll send word to the Guild of Seasons. They have a fairly well trained hospital, so it should be possible to get either the blood itself transferred. Or at the very least, we can request donors." They could buff out their blood at least for an extra few hours to see what they could do about it. If they ran out of blood, he was dead for sure... though it was quite possible the attacks would recede over time. Eventually he would lose so much blood and they would pump so much into him that the quantity of Mewtwo blood would become extremely low. Hopefully his immune system would stop reacting so violently, in that case. "Keep at it, for now. Pluto's staff will deal with keeping him alive." Wasn't any reason why he wouldn't accept, anyways. Serrin could make a convincing case if needed.

He watched Lloyd walk out before glancing at Alfred and putting on a weak smile. "We're going to move you somewhere you'll be a bit more comfortable." He got to his feet with a start, but the fit was done as quickly as it had started. He quickly stuck his head outside the door. "Hey, we need a nurse in here. We need new blankets and some towels." He called out into the hallway without a particular sense of urgency in his voice before walking over to the Gardevoir and sitting down beside him and giving him what could be best called an awkward, stabby hug. Except for the stabby part, psychic sheaths and all that. "We'll get you better, alright? Just hang in there."

"Hang on...?" He didn't want to.
He just wanted to close his eyes and never open them again, he wanted someone to tell him he never had to open them again.
A shard of recognition stabbed into his mind.
Oh Arceus, the irony.
They should see him now, the addict of hurt, merchant of distress. He was paying for something, some punishment was being dealt and he wanted to know when it would end.
Even though exhaustion ate at him and even if he had permission to sleep he wouldn't be able to. His throat constricted, holding back a whimper of morality.
That IV was like a dagger in his arm, he wanted it gone but at the same time was afraid of what would inevitably occur should he disappear.
The Gardevoir smiled glassily, pondering his hands an tossing an occasional glance over Tolin's arms to the door at any slight sound.
When the nurse stepped in, an elderly Blissey, he watched warily as she approached and with one quick motion had stripped the sheets, tossed a clean blanket over him and deposited a bundle of towels at the end of the bed and one on his lap and then she was gone just like that.
Automatically he lifted the towel to his face, a gesture he quickly got use to and didn't need to think it over anymore. Pathetic.
Holding the towel to his face he pondered on whether to just hold it there until his breathe ran out and keep it there until it was all over, but the thought was terrifying and he shook his head to rid himself of it while issuing a series of short hacking sobs, a split between coughing and becoming overwhelmed.
