Ako put his arms around Tansy as she wrapped hers around him, thankful to not feel the usual static as they touched. "I'm sorry I scared you. I just felt like I had to do this." He said. The hug did more to restore his sanity than she probably knew. Just to know someone really cared did wonders.
His smile faded, however, when Gidget shared her insight. Shane hadn't examined him or seen his power, how would he know how his powers worked? He didn't feel like arguing, though. What she said made him feel horrible as he realized what he'd done. He could have really killed them. Trinity said she could keep them safe, though. But how could he trust someone he's just met to keep his friends safe?

Gidget rubs her eyes wither her forearm and continues to type as she addresses Trinity's question. "From what he told me, our powers run on the same energy source our body uses for any other sort of physical exertion."
The door to Gidget's corner opens, followed by Shane's slow entrance. There is a sound that accompanies him: tac-tac-shuffle. He methodically hobbles in with the aid of arm braces to keep most of his weight off of his legs and back. With a grunt he flatly states, "That's not entirely true."

Trinity was shocked to see him walking about. She stood up and looked and him. Trinity had only heard of Shane, she had not seen him until now. "Who- who are you?" she asks cautiously.

Gidget whirls around and cries out, "Shane!" She rushes up to her big brother and wraps her arms around him. Then she hits him in the shoulder and says, "Don't you ever do something like that again!"
He laughs and rubs winces as his sister simultaneously hugs and beats him. "I know, I know. It wont happen again." He looks up at Trinity and smiles, "You must be Trinity. I met your mother earlier, and you two definitely have a resemblance. Well, except for the hair and ears of course. Anyway, I'm Shane Morris. Gidget's older brother and head of biology here at Valhalla."

Tansy frowned. That last time she had seen Shane, he was fine. She wanted to ask what happened, but knew he probably didn't want to think about it. She hung her head somewhat, her hair falling into her eyes and she looked at the floor, unable to look at him. She vaguely wondered if this too was her fault. If she hadn't taken off... maybe she could have helped in some way....

Trinity approached him and said,"Nice to finally meet you. I've heard so much about you" she reached out her hand to shake his but quickie figured out that it wasn't a good idea and gently pat his shoulder instead. "Thanks for helping my mom earlier, she mentioned there was a lot of electricity causing a blackout at the hospital. Was it Leviathan?"

Shane looks over at Trinity and smiles as she pats him on the shoulder. He shuffles over to Trinity and Ako as he speaks, "Without a doubt. I didn't get much of a chance to get a good look at him, but he wasn't alone. Some metal maniac dropped me on my back. It scares me to say this, but he has gotten exponentially stronger after consuming pure meteor radiation."
He looks down at Ako and Tansy with concern, "Are you two alright? I haven't seen either of you since you were at my apartment."

Tansy smiled smiled and looked at him. "I don't know if 'alright' is the word we would use... still alive seems to fit the profile better." She frowned somewhat as she scratched at her wings again, feathers falling to the ground. She sighed softly and rolled her shoulders.

Trinity's eyebrow quirked at the mention of 'consuming pure meteor radiation'. This was how he seemed so different from one day to the next? How is he consuming pure meteor radiation? Did he manage to find a meteor somewhere?. For a moment she pictured him sipping a meteor with a straw like one would drink fresh coconut milk. The bubble popped and she couldn't accept that, she wondered if killing meta-humans had something to do with it. In order to defeat Leviathan this is something they should all know.
She hesitated at first and asks, "I know I might regret asking this but... How is he consuming pure meteor radiation?"

Shane shuffles back to facing toward Trinity and sighs with the weight of this knowledge. "We don't know how he does it, but Cortez has found a way to extract meteor radiation from dead meta-humans. It's refined into a gelatinous form, and eaten. Even a small amount of the substance is enough to double the powers of whoever consumes it."

Trinity remembered that she had heard from Annie. She seemed so calm, so ready to go up against Lev. "Since he has killed meta-humans, perhaps that's part of the process? Is there anyone else working on figuring this out? I wonder if Annie made any preparations, before she rescued me..."

Shane nods grimly. He had spoken with Dr. Acula just before coming to find Gidget. He had recanted exactly what went down prior to his emergency arrival. "She acted as impulsively as ever and ingested some of the material we recovered from one of Cortez's massacres. I really wish she hadn't done that. We have no idea what the lasting effects of that substance is."

Trinity's brows raised as she heard this, hesitantly she said, "I... suppose... drastic times call for drastic measures...perhaps she was trying to level the playing field...No wonder she seemed so confident when she rescued me..." she rubs her arm. She wondered if she should do the same and help yet... she hadn't gotten to use her power to its full extent as is, there may be a chance she didn't need to use it. "So did it come from the meta-human?"

Ako had simply nodded at Shane's question, not wanting to go into many details. It was probably better that only a few people knew about his little freak-out. His attention went back to Tansy as she scratched her wings, and his eyes followed the loose feathers as they fell to the floor.
"Tansy, is something wrong?" He asked softly. His hand gently moved her hair out of her eyes so he could see her face, and he smiled when he still didn't feel the normal static shock.

"Hmmm?" She looked to Ako and tried to smile. "no, not really.. I'm just... Itchy....." She moaned softly as she scratched at her wings once more. "But it's no big deal." She laughed softly as she fanned herself. "Is anyone else a little hot?" Her cheeks became a soft pink color as she looked around, waiting for an answer.
