Aquaria sensed a danger, but mentally wrote it off as another disturbance in her mind, and continued walking.
((By the by, what weapon did he use last?))

"I'm not quite sure," Aquaria responded. "I sensed something just now, a disturbance or something. Whatever it is, it's quite puzzling, but I know I've felt it before, just not here."

Garin stopped and let go of her hand. He reached to pull his bow off his back. His eyes flitted around, looking for any sign of trouble.

Just as Garin pulled his bow off his back, an arrow whizzed past him, narrowly missing both him and Aquaria.
Aquaria threw herself into Garin to knock him further out of the arrow's path.

Garin pulled Aquaria behind him and put her back to a wall. Then he nocked an arrow and looked for the source of that attack.

"Garin, over there!" Aquaria whispered to him. She pointed to a nearby rooftop, where the hunter stood, prepared to fire again.

Garin released his arrow before the hunter had a chance to fire again. Then he quickly moved himself and Aquaria so that she had better cover. He prepared to fire again.

The hunter tried to dodge Garin's arrow, which grazed his shoulder, and fired again at the vampire.
Aquaria tried to put up a shield to block the hunter's arrow, but it was flying too fast.

Garin felt his hair flutter as the arrow skimmed by him. He fired again without hesitation, having better aim this time.

Garin's arrow flew towards the hunter and lodged in his shoulder. Frustrated, he sent a wave of magic towards them that neither the blue-haired brat or the vampire boy could stop.
Aquaria saw the hunter's attack coming and tried to warn Garin. "Garin! Magic-" she broke off.

Before Aquaria could finish the word 'magic' Garin turned and grabbed her, shielding her from the magic. He tried to move away from it, but he felt it strike his back.
